@ temthaw

I like many of your suggestions.  Admittedly, this poem is not supposed to flow. It's supposed to jerk the reader around.  There is one important thing that i disagree with you on, mainly the elimination of the word "running" (this would leave 26.5 as the only clue as to what i'm writing about).  Also the apostrophe is very necessary in the the first line.

Thanks for your feedback.

Also,  I'm glad that America did not adopt the Gadsden flag as our emblem.  The Gadsden flag represents (and I believe always will represent) resistance to entrenched power: during the revolution it meant resistance to the king and his occupational government, today it means resistance to the globalists and their occupational government.

Constructive criticism: If you're going to devote entire stanzas to single words, make sure those words are damn compelling.
I always have found that snakes try to move out of the way of the incoming boot.

If recent events prove anything, a snake won't move out of the way of a boot if it doesn't see it coming.

So... what you're saying is you're the snake?

not quite

When the boot crushed the snake's head, the other boots came out on the street: from them I hide and fear that this is no longer my country.

"UPDATE (04/30/2013 0035 UTC): We have come a long way in the battle, but still do not have the upper hand. It's looking more and more like a restructuring of the tor software or even the tor network will be required to mitigate the kind of attack we are under. If this can be solved by modifying the tor client software running the silk road .onion, then it will be a matter of patching and redeploying the hidden service. If it is a network issue, it will require the cooperation of the Tor developers, or running a new network of nodes. I haven't given up hope for a faster solution, but if one can not be found, then we will move to a semi private scheme where users will be given access through many private URLs. I'll keep everyone updated on how we will move forward, but please be prepared for a few more days at the least of no access."

where is that from?

Boot’s
Black shadow hovers over

Head

Twenty-six-point-five
Till the snake’s head

Blood

Running droplets stream
Out the neck

River

The boot on the snake’s head

The black boots on the sidewalk

Door to door
Street to street
House to house

No where to run

Just hope they don’t come inside

Close the windows

Close the doors

Cover your ears

Close your eyes

Repeat after me

This is not my country
This is not my country
This is not my country

Actions speak louder than words.  Ayn Rand may have put on appearances of free-thinking and libertarianism, but the "cult" she organized around her was authoritarian and relied heavily on group think (insofar as, you were OUT if you didn't tow the randian line).

It's not really authoritarianism if you just don't want to associate with people you don't have much in common with. For example, the group of friends I hang out with doesn't include white supremacists or religious nutcases.

It goes far beyond merely "picking who you hang out with".  She cultivated an organized form of group-think around her.  READ the essay... it's short and entertaining  Smiley.

Man, everything I know about Ayn Rand came from watching the 1950s film adaptation of the fountainhead...  The entire movie was 2 hours of people who couldn't deal with their feelings.

Apparently I'm left-right/up-down .. I see it as a complete mess and just a tool of government to give the illusion of choice.

Good poem Smiley

I hope one day people will throw the farce of left-right out the window for good and realise its freedom-enslavement, and that's all its ever been.

Left and Right have nothing to do with the state (they both want to use the state for some things and want the state to stay out of other things).  However, left and right are a real division in society.  They are lifestyle choices.  Right now we have two sides fighting to impose their lifestyle choices on each other.  The only commonality in this fight is that they both want to use the force and violence (aka government) to impose their will on the other side.  Thus the left/right paradigm inherently drifts towards statism as both sides demand state violence be used against the other.

would what be a free market of worker cooperatives? left or right?

The free market is whatever individuals make of it.  Some will start capitalist enterprises, some will start socialist coops.
