Re: Are Stablecoins Undermining Bitcoin's Original Mission?
by
Text
on 25/07/2025, 11:32:43 UTC
In my opinion stable coins don't limit bitcoin in any way and the fact is bitcoin is widely used in P2P transactions as much as USDT, USDC and other stable coins out there. Throughout my range of payments I've made online I've literally seen no case where a payment portal accept stables and not bitcoin at all.

I believe the main goal of stables is actually to escape dynamic rates since there are cases where you can't afford fluctuations in price with respect to the dollar.
I don't see stablecoins as the endgame, more like a stepping stone. If Bitcoin evolves to become less volatile through wider adoption, better payment layers, etc. it could naturally reclaim its role as an everyday medium of exchange. But for now stablecoins are filling a practical gap and maybe even helping Bitcoin by keeping people in the crypto ecosystem. I think both can coexist for the time being each serving different purposes. One is revolutionary the other is transitional.

Re: Everyone talks about "utility" in crypto…
by
Text
on 25/07/2025, 09:28:08 UTC
Real utility shows when a project isn’t just recycling ideas for a quick valuation pump, but actually solving problems with a working product and some form of revenue or user traction.

That’s why lately I’ve been more drawn to platforms working on things like on-chain identity, verifiable credentials, and unlocking liquidity for illiquid assets. Quiet builders, not loud marketers.

If it’s not addressing a gap in the ecosystem, it’s just noise.
I've seen so many projects talk about utility when it's really just staking or some vague promise of future value. To me real utility means actual usage beyond speculation, something that either makes life easier, more secure or more accessible for users. I’ve been gravitating toward projects working in areas like on-chain identity, verifiable reputation and tokenising previously illiquid assets, all things that fix long-standing pain points in Web2 and Web3.

Love that the founding team is fully doxxed and respected in the Crypto Twitter/gambling space that gives a lot more confidence compared to most anonymous platforms out there.
The original games like Risky Click and Lamb Chop sound fun and different refreshing to see something other than the same old slots and blackjack. Looking forward to seeing how the airdrop plays out feels like there’s long-term potential here. Keen to test it out soon. Good luck to everyone farming the leaderboard!

Re: Are online Casinos more rigged than physical Casinos like in Las Vegas?
by
Text
on 16/07/2025, 07:52:17 UTC
In a physical casino you see everything happening in front of your cards being dealt, dice being rolled, the roulette wheel spinning that visibility gives you some peace of mind plus the social vibe and atmosphere are part of the thrill. Online casinos run purely on code and RNGs. Legit ones are regulated and audited but it does come down to trust and not every site is trustworthy. I tend to stick to licensed platforms with a good rep and provably fair games where possible.

Haha gotta say I almost fell for it at first. The tone was just dramatic enough to be believable but sprinkled with enough satire to make you wonder if it was serious or parody, had me hovering between laughing and checking the charts. Every time we hit a local high and pull back, the doomsayers crawl out of the woodwork but if history has taught us anything it’s that Bitcoin thrives on being doubted.

Re: ICO, IEO, STO, IDO, Fair Launch and Pre-Market, FAILED! What's Next?

As for what’s next maybe something like community quests or proof-of-effort-based launches might gain traction something where people earn allocation based on contribution not just capital but even then the same risks apply if there’s no strong fundamentals or clear utility. At the end of the day the model might evolve but without accountability and real use cases the outcomes will keep repeating. DYOR, stay sceptical during hype and don’t let FOMO override logic.

Re: Player Interpretation of Provably Fair Systems

For me it is mainly means the result was generated before the bet and wasn't changed afterward and the results follow a published algorithm anyone can audit. If I can verify the outcome myself and see how it was determined using a public method that gives me confidence the system isn't being tampered with. I think a lot of players assume it just means not rigged but the real value is in that transparency and ability to verify the process especially in blockchain-based games.

I've just started exploring this platform and I’ve got to say the variety of games is huge especially the Live Casino and Crush Games, the bonuses are wild too! that 500% welcome offer is no joke. The site is unreachable on my end but runs smooth when using a VPN. Fast payouts, loads of crypto options and 24/7 cashback? Not many platforms offer this combo. Getting lifetime commissions and free spins just for bringing friends in? this referral program is a nice touch. Anyone else here had a lucky jackpot hit yet?

Re: What's makes you a good Bitcoiner?

For me what makes me a good Bitcoiner is embracing the mindset of self-sovereignty and long-term thinking. I’ve learned to value delayed gratification and take responsibility for my own financial decisions which includes staying informed and questioning narratives especially in a space full of hype and noise. I also try to contribute in my own way whether it's by sharing knowledge, joining meaningful discussions like this one or supporting Bitcoin-focused communities.

Yeah hitting ATH again is exciting but I think It is also a signal to stay sharp. We've seen how quickly hype can turn into heartbreak for those who jump in without a plan. I’m being cautious cause market cycles tend to repeat and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some shakeouts before any major move upwards. DYOR is survival especially in moments like this when emotions run high. I'm watching macro trends closely and trying to stay level-headed.

Re: Do you introduce bitcoin and crypto to your friends?
by
Text
on 11/07/2025, 07:24:09 UTC
And at that time I often discussed or told about Bitcoin to some of my friends with positive things, be it about news, developments and also its potential to some of my friends who were already involved in the world of Bitcoin, because I myself knew and learned about Bitcoin from some of my friends who at that time Bitcoin was not so popular. However, as time went by we had our own busy lives and also had families that made us rarely meet, and I never discussed or told about Bitcoin other than with them and even though Bitcoin is currently very popular and maybe only a few members of my family because they have an interest in getting involved and until now some members of my family have felt the benefits and besides that I never discussed or told about Bitcoin to anyone. Because for now if someone talks about Bitcoin then it is considered to have Bitcoin and I am more careful to avoid things that I don't want, and other reasons. Having Bitcoin they will judge having a lot of money because of Bitcoin and potentially they will borrow money or other negative things that make me uncomfortable.

Knowledge of Bitcoin technology does not mean that you are a Bitcoin holder, but I completely agree with you that if you have Bitcoin, it is better not to talk to anyone about cryptocurrencies at all, because you cannot be 100% sure that your conversation partner will not want to find out more about your savings and possibly try to take possession of your funds. As practice shows, sometimes even the best friends/relatives betray you because of financial interests. Therefore, it is better not to talk about cryptocurrencies to anyone at all.

I can relate to this how Bitcoin started as something I shared in close circles driven by curiosity and learning. It’s wise in today’s world where people often equate crypto with instant wealth which can bring unwanted assumptions or pressure.

Yeah sometime money can change how people treat you even those close to you. That reality made me more guarded too. I think staying low-key and protecting your peace is more important than proving anything to anyone.

Re: How did you feels on your first winning?

on 11/07/2025, 05:45:00 UTC
My first win after a long losing streak felt amazing in the moment, I felt like I had finally cracked the code or that maybe my luck had finally turned around. But I did the math and realised, the win didn’t actually cover everything I’d lost before. It gave me a boost but looking back I was mostly chasing recovery, not playing smart. I had to step back and look at my habits, I don’t gamble like I used to, now I treat it more like entertainment and stick to a strict budget, winning or losing doesn’t define my day anymore.

I'm interested as I have aged Google account with a solid review history. However as others mentioned it would be helpful to clarify the rate per review and whether you're open to using escrow to ensure transparency for both sides.

Looking forward to hearing more details.

I’ve noticed the same thing lately especially those dodgy ads clearly edited and revoiced to fit different regions. I had a family member nearly fall for one of those casino apps promising huge payouts. A quick reverse image search and some digging showed it had no real company behind it just a bunch of cloned apps with different names. Just because it looks pro, doesn’t mean it’s safe. Always worth doing a bit of research before downloading or connecting a wallet to anything unfamiliar.

I think it’s a mix, it often reacts sharply to major fundamental shocks like wars, interest rate announcements or regulatory crackdowns, it also tends to recover relatively quickly once the news is digested. I do believe it responds to fundamentals but it also has its own momentum and narrative that keep pushing it forward. I think we’ll see more of this duality, short-term reactions to external events followed by corrections and a return to the broader trend whether bullish or bearish.

Haha gave me a laugh seeing the robots wobble and topple over like toddlers but it's kind of mind-blowing to think this is just the beginning. Seems like we’re slowly building toward a whole league of robot sports. I might throw in a cheeky bet for fun especially if they start giving the robots names and personalities! I can see this becoming a serious thing down the line especially with China pushing hard in AI. Just hope we don’t end up with a Robo Messi that never misses!

Re: How AI has ruined poker

Back when I first started playing online there was still a sense of unpredictability in each game. You could tell when someone was playing based on experience and intuition and there was a certain human feel to the rhythm of the hands. Now on major platforms it often feels like you’re playing against a spreadsheet, tight ranges, GTO perfection and zero room for creative plays. Crypto poker sites still feel a bit more human for now maybe because they're newer or not yet flooded with solver-heavy grinders but I do wonder how long that window will last.
