BTW I did fix my install and still can't see the the gpus.
yes, it will work. No sense if your HiveOS copy online or offline for Hive server. If offline, you simple cant manage your rig over Hive web interface, but all needed drivers and tools on your local HiveOS copy.

if you cant see GPUs you need post your boot log.
give some time for Hive, he must load and install GPU drivers. (500 MB)
Are you connected your main GPU to monitor over HDMI cable? This is important for first run.
check output of dmesg command, maybe you will see some errors

Are you use last version of HiveOS? What a GPUs in your rig?
I was saying that I fixed drivers in my linux build but if I can load hive and rename conf that that is much easier , I can deal with the rest of the control problems, it's just the loading drivers and stuff that takes forever. I have a lot of rigs so loading hive and using AM is best, thanks!

Nevermind my post above, just saw my install is broken, even though it mines ok, will fix this first and recheck.
better if you create your rig on HiveOS and then install AM client for linux. Then you can manage clocking on your rig over AM
but on my rig fan management not work properly, dont know why. I set constant fan values over HiveOS, then raname rig.conf to any other name and now i use algo switching over AM and can set power, clock, memory. But i do not touch fan speed.
Enjoy +10% more hashrate on linux with nice profit switching over AM

I do use HiveOS on some of my rigs and control them through AM Smiley , but I did not know if it would still work if it was not "online" through Hive dash. So this works?

Hey guys I have used AM for a long time via windows system , I am slowly converting the farm to Linux, I just did a build and can mine just fine but I cannot control clocks ( wanting to use native mode )
when I try to change them I get the "could'get information......" message.
Can anyone make some suggestions for getting this to work please??
BTW I loaded a separate AM controller on another network with adding just this one rig so as not to mess up any of my other rigs which are controlled via afterburner.

Hey there I have hashrate issues when using MTP on Win7 even with the correct Cuda vs driver per instructions. I have tried it many different ways , uninstall reinstall several different machines in the farm. Is this just a Win7 thing? The Win10 machines seems fine for the most part. Any recommendations?  The hashrate for 1080ti is abou 2MH I can play with clocks and get them a little higher, but would love to get this to work on all my machines, thanks and great job already Smiley

Hi,

yes I heard about the Win7 performance lack. If my memory serves me right this is an issue that all miners for MTP shows - but I'm not sure about that? I think it is a Windows 7 issue. Maybe you can give a different miner a try and let me know iof it works well performance wise on your system. I will then check if I find some Windows 7 relates issues.

So please let me know.

Thanks for reporting.

P.S. Nice profile picture!

Windows ...

It seems it has issues with MANY algos, on MANY miners for all sorts of reasons. The memory management in Windows 10 has been improved greatly over Windows 7 (though no where near the level that Linux is currently) which is one of the main improvements over Windows 7.

So chances are it isn't 'really' anything to do with your systems bar the OS you are using.

#crysx

Thanks for the replies gents I figured as much it being Win7 related. And yes I have tried the other miners and same results. So it's a matter of , do I want to upgrade them to Win10 ( a lot of machines ) or do I go with a Linux based mining OS ...ughhh either way will be a pain since I have used awesomeminer for quite some time for management. YEah the profile pic , LOL right!

I think what I will do is convert 1 machine to Win10 and confirm a fix just to know and report here. As far as performance with other algos I have not ran across any other than MTP with lower performance on Win7 vs 10 but I imagine it is inevitable that I would eventually, let you know Smiley

Hey Loli, nice Work!!
Can you tell me which Equihash/Optiminer software this miner is based on?

I'm trying to enable stats in my dashboard, I use awesomeminer in Windows, it has the ability to add custom algos but will be easier if I can tell it which predefined software it's based on....or I can tell it which command line or api ports your software uses, ThankYou!!

Anyone experiencing connection issues to http://eu.minexpool.nl I'm getting a lot of failed to connect messages. Even within same machine with multiple gpus using separate instance per gpu. 1 or 2 connect and then the other(s) won't. Is this the way the dev mining presents itself?

Miner crashed every day 2-3 times.
https://ibb.co/d78utS
https://ibb.co/nxDSDS
When I click on "close program" miner restart and working.
Problem is that I cant always monitoring the rig and restarting it.
Is there solution?

upgrade from Windows to Linux

Is there possibility to enter command that lolminer restart when losing SOL/s, or restarting on every hour?

Create a batch file like this:

:MINE
Start /wait /high lolMiner-mnx.exe --server mnx.suprnova.cc --port 7077 --user YOUR.MINER --pass x --device 0,1,2
timeout /t 5
goto :MINE

So any thoughts on why using Anydesk or Teamviewer might increase hashrate significantly???

Evidently others in different coin threads and miners have noticed this too , however I am using Nvidia , this particular topic is about AMD

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2256917.400

Try setting the --set-work-batch setting to 8 or higher. It has worked for me and a few others. Some have reported no change though so YMMV.

Helped even things out across 3 gpus, but they are smaller gpus, 1050+ 2x 980's. And hash was still less than havy Anydesk connected.

Did not help on 1080ti's made things worse.

I have played with a ton of settings, I really cannot figure what it is that Anydesk would be invoking that would cause this.

I even added the exe file to my Nvidia control panel as a controlled program with maximum performance settings.

I'll keep at it but I'll try any other suggestions out there.... I run multiple rigs and it is not feasible for me to keep an anydesk window open for each, however the difference in hashrate makes it significant

I too have a VERY strange observation:

If I am logged in to my miners via Anydesk my hashrate is much higher than if I am not!!

LOL, wtf is that about, anyone already figure this out, I remembered seeing some mentions of Teamviewer earlier in the threads?

Anyhow 14k vs 20k on a 1080ti ........just wild

Also some crashing still on a few machines, running a restart script now to help but.....ehh

Hi, will you implement an API ? I'll be happy to add your miner to my future monitoring app Wink

Not in next version, but likely later - we are just at the start of what this miner could be Smiley

Please advise if there is another or better way to run without crash. I would like to run all cards as a single batch.

EDIT: I spoke too soon still got a crash....please help?

Could it be this one here:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2718841/0xc0000005-error-message-and-windows-explorer-stops-responding-on-a-co

I hope this is fixed with new version since it has much better thread handling (in particular on the stratum side of code)

Have to email for the hotfix, I will run updates, these PC's that are doing this are just miner bases so very few updates have been done, seems to be more of an issue with rigs that have 1080ti's. I'll run updates and see if that works ( probably 2 hours before I let you know LOL )

Also, any command to pick up devices automatically? What I mean is some rigs have 2 gpus and some have 3, I run a miner controller software that runs as a network command, seems to have a problem if I -d 0,1,2 and there are actually only 2 devices. Not a big deal was just wondering, I can always make separate templates for rigs w/2 vs rigs w/ 3
 Thanks and Nice work!!

Oh...another very strange thing...when miner is launched through controller on 1080ti rigs I lose almost 25% of my hashrate, so weird...I have tried different settings from within the controller dashboard and it strangely does not affect gpus other than 1080ti...

I believe I found the solution, so far so good:

Cannot run MSI Afterburner and must run a separate instance for each device ( -d 0 for one batch -d 1 for next gpu etc...)

Please advise if there is another or better way to run without crash. I would like to run all cards as a single batch.
