Re: Somebody should make a movie about Satoshi
by
The daddy
on 21/10/2017, 13:18:25 UTC
It could be about the IRS, Federal Reserve, Scotland Yard, MI6 and the FBI searching, investigating and going around the world, trying to track down Satoshi. They come across Craig Wright and other imposters. They find a Satoshi Nakamoto in California and demand that he confesses. It turns out that this is the wrong Satoshi. There are car chases, only to catch criminals mistaken for Satoshi.

We walk into the NSA data center with a group of programmers. In front of big screens with scrolling code, they talk about new algorithms that they developed for their new quantum computer, which will try to geo-locate Satoshi's public addresses. One programmer says: "This is the most hash power ever executed by a supercomputer any where in the world" Behind them, we see a huge room with multiple rows of computers. We can hear a loud hum from the heat fans. Another programmer walks over to the wall and turns the air conditioning to maximum. A superior says: "We got congress to give us $2 billion to catch him. If his doesn't work, you're all going back to writing iOS apps for kids."

At the end of the movie, the investigators are standing around a hotel lobby, tired, frustrated and sharing notes. The superiors are yelling obscenities at the incompetent subordinates. Behind them, we see a man with sunglasses, seated and sipping on cognac. He is surrounded by beautiful women. It looks like a scene out of a Dos Equis commercial of the “world’s most interesting man.” He gets up nonchalantly, walks to the front of the hotel, where a bellhop drives up in a Lamborghini, gets out and hands the keys to the man.

So close, yet so far.

The man turns his head, looks back at the investigators and smirks. He gets in the Lambo and starts the engine. The camera zooms in on the keychain, which has a name tag with the initials “SN”. He drives away with a loud roar.

Fade to black.
Yes, it is a good idea. Maybe someday there will be a movie about Satoshi Nakamoto. I will be waiting for it. Because everything about Satoshi makes every people wants to know him. It will also be good if that movie will be telling us about how he created the block chain technology.

Which coin can go to $100 in 2018, like Eth it was worth $12 in 2016 and now its reached to $391 max price.

I want to invest in some coins.
As we all know, Ethereum is very powerful too just like bitcoin. And all ethereum investors in the beginning are so lucky that they already invested in ethereum project. And until now if they are holding 10000 ethereum, they can already become a millionaire in there investments.

Re: Which ICOs you suggest for November
by
The daddy
on 21/10/2017, 12:54:01 UTC
Me and 5 friends of mine founded a 'microfund' this month. In other words just bought a several bitcoins Grin

Now we are looking where to invest, but there is a problem. There are too many projects. Of course we do check all the ratings and analyze the projects we like closely. But there are still too many projects.

We like Blackmoon, Robotvera, Everex. I help Crypterium team with support. Another friend advises ICO Robot Vera (pre-sale is completed already).

So I would very appreciate if you recommend me an ICO you love or even better work with.

We plan to start spend our BTC in November actively. We're looking for real products with high potential to change people's daily life in general. And helpful for blockchain ecosystem. No trading platforms, travel platforms, whatevercoins, ticket platforms, or simple donations.

Thanks in advance!

TOP-9 ICOs on 20th October (just opionion of 6 people, based on suggestions here and own research)

The most amazing products
1 https://crypterium.io/ — mobile cryptobank focused on contactless payments for customers and acquiring solutions for merchants. Strong team.
2 https://getchange.com/ — mobile cryptobank. Tested beta wallet.
3 https://www.hydrominer.org and/or https://icerockmining.io — eco hydro mining

Also very interesting
4 https://www.mindsports.io/ and https://gizer.io/ — gaming solutions.
5 https://dether.io/ — Buy & sell ether nearby using cash. Spend it at physical stores
6 https://www.wacoin.io — WaBi is a digital token backed by safe products
7 https://digmus.io/ — Decentralized Anti-Counterfeit Platform, to help mitigate this scourge, win back profit for businesses, and aid customers in their enjoyment of an original brand experience.
8 https://www.everex.io/ — Money Transfers And Microfinance Services
9 https://wanchain.org/ — decentralised banking solutions platform.

We decided not to participate in: RootProject, CarTaxi, Science, Pally, SpectivVR all the VR-related ones, Artoken, PayPie, many trading platforms (even Spectre which is most likely trustworthy and promising), several event ticketing services, Electroneum, Swarm, Rega, Ripple, Worldcore (scam?), Wordcoin, Crassula, diviproject, Crowdholding.

Note: Do your own research in order to decide what project to choose, we are little experienced in ICO and investments in general. ICOs we decided not to participate perhaps are very good.
ICO safety thread "3 kinds of ICOs — Protect yourself": https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2243157.0
I prefer the Specter project. Because it is truly a potential project. They also have a good team and members and have very good trading experiences. I am hoping that this will really succeed. This can also be easily applied in some trading. This will really be a great project.

Re: Do you still support Ethereum?
by
The daddy
on 15/10/2017, 10:03:29 UTC
I can't name any other coin/token, which failed more times than ETH. It's not about loving or hating it, it's all about people losing money, because of situations which can be avoided. I would care less if these ETH based projects were not asking money from the masses, but that's not the case. And believe me when I'm saying that Ethereum has some powerful lobbyists. Otherwise its price would be probably 1/5 from the current one.

Didn't we had enough of this?
Yes, I will still support ethereum because it is the 2nd biggest coin after the bitcoin. And approximately, the 90% of new ICOs coming in the cryptocurrency markets are in the form of ERC20 tokens. People must know that it is still in its growing mode and is also established its good quality.

Re: Bitcoin in College???
by
The daddy
on 15/10/2017, 06:52:10 UTC
Bitcoin as a course or any related currency on web.
In my country we have multiple courses in computer especially programing and web developments. My course is also information technology, but i've never heard or learn about online currency as bitcoin. In present, and future studies is there any chances for inserting about it in education. In your country is it available?
It would be better for any country to adopt bitcoin in educating new generations. Instead of playing games and wasting money in surfing xxx sites.
I think it is also good idea. Having bitcoin course in universities or in college is a bright idea. it is likely to be a good way to help other people to know and understand bitcoin more. For students to know how bitcoin works and what can be done to improve it. Moreover, I think that in college specifically must teach not only about bitcoin but the cryptocurrencies as a whole.

Re: Why Bitcoin is better than Cash.
by
The daddy
on 15/10/2017, 06:24:59 UTC
What are the reasons, why people use Cash or Credit Cards / ATM / Banks?

Look at the benefits of bitcoin.

* Works online 100%, 100%transparent for private and commercial use. Total control of private or public money for it's holder or holders, investors, governments etc.
* As It's works online there no need of expensive steel safes or bank deposits to keep your money safe. Any password or time code can be used.
* No fees. Unlike cash, hasn't 2%-3% of inflation every single year.
* Accepted for Food Shopping & Micro payments via electronic card.
* 0 confermations time, with introduction of "instant pay" function.
* 0 exchange risks in use of proper securities and competent insurance.
* any entrepreneurs is able to understanding of the value of payment.
* No need for pay terminal for small businesses. For small entrepreneurs it's a high expense of 70 bucks every month.
* Theoretically it's would not be needed to have an expensive licensed cash register, for small entrepreneurs, as every transaction is totally transparent. So cases of black money flow would be easily found and proven.
* Banking and gambling. No need of any verification for CFD,Stock,Currency or gambling services.

Bitcoin is better than cash because it is very easy to use. People just need to create a bitcoin wallet and have some bitcoins inside it. Then they can easily use it on some different things. In bitcoin, they can also be opened in some new opportunities like investment, trading nd gambling. They can also pay things online which is the best way to use for a currency.

Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum
by
The daddy
on 15/10/2017, 05:45:16 UTC
Does any one thinks that Ethereum can survive with the rising of Waves? I've heard that "Waves will be the next Ethereum"
I prefer to choose ethereum. Because it is leading the altcoins as of now. With that lead, it can attract some new investors and users. Because if people are new here, they are merely looking at the price of all the cryptocurrencies. And people always invest on those because of the higher price. It simply means that those coins are successful and it is the ethereum.

Re: How do you value Bitcoin ?
by
The daddy
on 14/10/2017, 14:14:28 UTC
I think that the most common way to value Bitcoin is like valuing other currency by another currency.
Seeing to it that we all know all the factors that causes or affects supply and demand equilibrium.
Also the time we hold bitcoins. Time is very important factor.
I value bitcoin so much. Bitcoin is such a blessing because it blesses everyone. It also did help each and every investors across the globe in their finances. It also gives benefit to trade across the globe to earn profit. And bitcoin, I can say that it is a savior because it saves people from being poor and being so needy.

Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM???
by
The daddy
on 14/10/2017, 11:45:30 UTC
Where is the marketing? I doxed the dev team, which wasn't too hard when they post all their LinkedIn. They are big players in the internet marketing industry in England. They can do it for free!?! I even looked up the coins head guy Richard Ells and called his headquarters. I asked the secretary about Electroneum? I was transfered to a guy that asked me how he could help me with my questions. So I asked, "why aren't you marketing this ICO?". He said, "they are and more is coming." Do you see any marketing? WTF.

The ICO starts in 3 days!!

EDIT

No, it is definately not a scam.

They have raised 3 million already.

I was worried about the marketing, but now I see their ads everwhere I go on the internet, so the guy wasnt kidding when he said the marketing is coming!!

Damn!!! Ive never seen a coin hit mainstream news sites!!!

Electroneum is not a scam. It was founded by an interesting team that is pretty good in their marketing. I think this marketing might lead to a good type of a marketing. Because they also know how to get people's attention. People can also have the best product in the world in them so I think it will really succeed.

Just curious about the people on this forum. There seem to be a lot of newbies around, like myself. So tell me: how long have you been in the crypto market?
I am just new in this field. I just entered this market through my friend, from the last 2 months. I am also studying about trading and but I am no yet doing some trading. But soon, I also want to get some profits. All depends on our research about the altcoins and knowledge of trading as trading involve huge risk without vast knowledge.

What do you like best about bitcoin?
Decentralization, transparency or easier to move?
Or just it makes you look cool? Wink
What I like about bitcoin is that, it already changed a lot of people's lives. I really think that having or earning bitcoin can really change one's life. It is also good to invest or to earn some more bitcoins. Another thing is that, when I learned about bitcoin and how to earn them, I was able to save money.

Re: Bitcoin vocabulary
by
The daddy
on 13/10/2017, 05:37:10 UTC
I am actually getting a grip on some of the terms used here. So far here are the terms I am familiar with:
1. Volatile - swinging of prices in extreme ends or prices suddenly change?
2. Fiat - usually refers to paper money
3. Altcoins - coins aside from bitcoin

Can you share some of the terms you know? It would be a very big help to widen each others bitcoin vocabulary.
Thank you very much!
Some of the bitcoin vocabularies that I know are these terms like cryptocurrency that refers to the digital currencies like Bitcoin itseslf, wallet is where you store all your bitcoins or wallet for any other cryptocurrency that exists and the term exchangers in which is where you wanted to make your bitcoin into other coins.

Re: Still believe in ICO ?

The number of successful ICO's are decreasing dramatically.  Just wanna know about successful ICO's in the fourth quarter of 2017 and if anybody still believes in  ICO's.
I still believe in ICO. Because ICO made a huge positive contribution to the development of the crypto currency. Also, there implementation is now necessary and very useful. I still believe in the ICO. And if holding a certain part of the ICO was not successful it does not mean that people already need to stop believing. In general, it is still necessary and a useful work which brings comfort to people.

Re: Do Altcoins really have a future?
by
The daddy
on 13/10/2017, 04:01:53 UTC
I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.
The success of a certain alternative coin is highly dependent with its investors and users. Meanwhile, a certain project is raised and fund with blockchain or ICO, the target value will really depend on how many will buy the token for that alt coin.  Regards to Arna Genomics, it has a promising project that will help the development of biotechnology.

Should I Invest In Bitcoin?
Yes, people should invest in bitcoin. As we all now, bitcoin is the one which can push all altcoins up. Bitcoin run also made the most altcoins to follow and raise a lot in value. If you want to make an easy money without huge risks then bitcoin can be your best option while if you willing to take a risk then altcoin is an option.

Have you extracted bitcoin cash from your btc seeds yet? If yes, are you using them?
Or have you sold them or exchanged them for another alt or bitcoin.
Or do you plan to hold them as well and expect the value to go high similar to bitcoin.

As of now, currently I don't have yet bitcoin cash. But still I am planning to have some bitcoin golds. I am going to buy soon some bitcoin before hard fork and hold it in until the hard fork happens. I also want to get free money in the form of a bitcoin gold someday.

Re: Is Bitcoin digital gold or digital cash?
by
The daddy
on 28/09/2017, 10:59:58 UTC
Answers to this question are constantly posted on this forum and on Reddit by people who are not software engineers/developers, nor product managers. Either that or they are truly terrible at their jobs. Reddit in particular has really turned into a garbage dump, but that's something for another discussion.

Anyway, in a business context you want to build software that meets your customer's expectations, so understanding how a user makes use of your software solution is really important for smooth communication and shared understanding between management, marketing and engineering. Normally you want to write out really detailed user stories/journeys, maybe even draw diagrams or create mock-ups that demonstrate the exact problem you're trying to solve and how your thing will solve it.

Here's a teaser:

Alice is at a farmer's market and wants to buy broccoli from a vendor. How does she pay?

Here are just a few important details that we need to know first:

- What country is Alice in, and what are the economic conditions?
- How much money does she make every year/how well off is she?
- How technologically sophisticated is she/how old is she?
- What tastes and preferences does Alice have/what prejudices her in certain ways?

We need a lot more information before we start talking about what BIP we can code up in a day. If you think about these questions only from your own perspective and experience, you're discounting the majority of people on this planet that want to use the same technology. Bitcoin's value depends mainly on how many people can safely use it, and if it's not in use by the largest number of people possible, it will not achieve it's full potential/value.

The correct answer to the question in this poll is "it depends". Bitcoin is for humans, and humans have different needs. Most likely every redditor and bitcoin.org poster's favorite potential use case, "in-person payments at high volume merchants", will not be satisfied by Bitcoin directly. Use something else for that one narrow use case if Bitcoin isn't doing it for you, and support the engineers who are working to make Bitcoin more secure and stable, goddamnit  Grin

In my own opinion, I think bitcoin can be called as both digital gold and cash. Because bitcoin is a very much advanced gold since it is continues and is going up each year, people can also see that. And it can also be called a digital gold, because of the fact that some of the stores effectively acknowledges bitcoin as another sort of installment type of technique.

on 20/09/2017, 10:53:53 UTC
for long term purpose, which is better to invest in , Bitcoin or Ethereum ? Lets discuss that ..
I prefer that just choose both the bitcoin and ethereum because they are all just better compare to all the other cryptocurrency. They are both trusted by so many investors. It is the best thing to do. Eventhough there are also times when the prices of either  the bitcoin or ethereum went down too much merely it is not something that people must be afraid of. Because at the end of the day, there prices would still be higher again.
