As a member of the real StacyCoin project team, I will echo the sentiments that this StacyCoin is NOT the altcoin endorsed by Stacy Herbert. Our team is actively working with Stacy, and I doubt she will approve of this coin using her likeness without her permission (and within a barfy pink logo no less.) Mining this coin only supports the blatant trolling of reputable people like Max and Stacy.

I've got 5 confirmed participants so far, so I think that is enough to get this going. I'll post details soon!

90-day challenge tracked online with weekly weigh-ins

50-ish mBTC buy-in, kitty held in trusted escrow.

Highest verified weight-loss percentage wins the Bitcoin.

Thoughts? Interest?

How would you verify this exactly?

Typically with online challenges, participants submit their weekly weigh-ins as time-stamped pics on a scale, but I'm open to suggestion to keep everyone honest Smiley

Those can easily be faked.

Like I said, I'm open to suggestion. Also thinking the prize could be split equally between the top 5 "losers" rather than just having one winner.

Re: Tealet - Farm-Direct Tea Marketplace now accepts Bitcoin

This is a huge step for Hawaii, and I can't think of a better business to be a champion and an early embracer of Bitcoin. This is the kind of company we as a community need to support and advocate for as the effects of the conscious consumerism that Tealet promotes can have have a positive impact on the global Bitcoin economy.

That's cool, I actually printed a few Bitcoins Smiley  , but it is in ABS not copper or gold coin

Thanks! Our printer uses PLA, so the cookie cutters are sturdy but can only be hand-washed.

I was going to say I hope your are using PLA, as ABS isn't food safe. Cool idea.

Thanks! Come to the crypto-dark side, we've got cookies Wink

But the cookies will certainly make a good conversational piece especially with those unaware of Bitcoin asking about the Symbols Smiley

For sure, I'll be baking up some cookies to take to our next Bitcoin Hawaii meet-up, you know - like a good wife should lol  Tongue

3D printed Bitcoin Cookie Cutters

If anyone is interested, I'm selling 3D printed Bitcoin cookie cutters for 0.05 BTC. They are "Push n' Print" style that leave a cute Bitcoin symbol on any rolled style cookie dough. I'll be making alt-coin cookie cutters as well in the coming days and will post pics soon.

Re: Hmm..this could be a gender issue

So if men continue to buy and hoard bitcoins, someday in the future when bitcoin becomes mainstream, will this re-allocate wealth totally as men on average are wealthier than ladies?

Assuming that most men who buy/mine/earn Bitcoin are single is pretty naive in my mind. There are plenty of couples who are mutually invested, and I would venture to guess a fair percentage of the men there had significant others at home who are just as savvy and involved with Bitcoin. We should be encouraging more women to attend these Bitcoin get-togethers, and as long as the Neft Booth girls are around, I don't think we'll have a problem with nerd-herding around the chicks Wink Bitcoin2013 was a BLAST and I can't wait for next year.

I might sell weight loss body wraps for bitcoin, I just have to get approval from the manufacturer I think. I also do advertising blocks on my website.

I've seen these body wraps all over Pintrest and FB. Do you use them? Do they really work? I'm very curious. Let's talk!
