It's something with the new connect method. If I revert to the old longPollThread it works fine.

They'll get it ironed out soon enough, hopefully.

Well it seems to be mining but long polling is somehow broken on btcmine.

Yea, I noticed that too. My stales are less than a half of a % though, so that's fine with me.

one of my usernames has a @ in it so this breaks the  --servers :@: bit :-(

Yeah btcmine in particular requires the @. May need some sort of regex instead of .split('@').

I'm using the latest version with --servers at btcmine with the @ symbol and I haven't had a problem with it at all, all 4 miners
have been running for days with out a hiccup, So I don't think there's a problem with the @ symbol.

The latest version doesn't accept the HOST command - it requires a SERVER entry instead.

It also has an annoying blank-line scrolling behavior that only goes away if you make xterm full screen.

Yeah, It uses the --servers flag instead of host, port, user and password. Took me a minute to figure out
what was going on.  Shocked

I don't know whats with the scrolling black screen, kinda weird. I'm also getting the below error. Everything
is running fine so i'm not real sure what to make of it.  Undecided

Code:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/opt/miners/poclbm2/BitcoinMiner.py", line 338, in longPollThread
    (connection, result) = self.request(connection, url, self.headers)
  File "/opt/miners/poclbm2/BitcoinMiner.py", line 311, in request
    result = loads(response.read())
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/json/__init__.py", line 307, in loads
    return _default_decoder.decode(s)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/json/decoder.py", line 319, in decode
    obj, end = self.raw_decode(s, idx=_w(s, 0).end())
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/json/decoder.py", line 338, in raw_decode
    raise ValueError("No JSON object could be decoded")
ValueError: No JSON object could be decoded

I'm getting the below error in the new version, I didn't get it with any of the earlier versions. I'm not running headless
or through SSH, So I shouldn't have to export my display. I know X is running, because my desktops loaded. Am I just
missing a step or something I need to do in the latest version?

"ERROR - X needs to be running to perform ATI Overdrive(TM) commands"

I kinda like the stats doing this sometimes. It's kinda like Christmas morning, You not real sure what your gonna get when the stats update.
It could be a couple of 3 blocks or a crapload of sub 10 minute blocks  Grin. Kinda ads some excitement to an otherwise boring mining career.

Doubtful! Have you seen how fast this thing has grown.  It will be months before he gets a good nights sleep.

After he gets the stats fixed, well be able to see how many blocks we've actually had in the last 8 hours. It's just the stats on the webpage, that are wrong, The backend is working fine, As long as your submitting work, your getting credit for it. He'll fix the statistics when he wakes up.

It's just a stats problem, he'll get it fixed when he wakes up. It's not really an 8 hour block  Grin

Is there a problem with installing LinuxCoin in one computer with a determined hardware and then move it to a computer with different hardware?

Yea..It probably saved the settings from your test system. Try booting without persistence and formatting the persistence partition and then rebooting with persistence on your mining rig.
