Maybe if you get used to come over, you'll get used how to answer to questions instead of answering without to answer. I lost again my free time in reading links that you posted. You were asked there so many times about exact number on miners, .... . I could not really see answers to these questions. Can you explain again what was going on with your team/s and who is doing what?

I agree to the statement that it looks pretty incompetent what happens there, do you agree?

The exact number of miners fluctuates as we sell S5s and purchase S7s.
A list of S7s to date were given in the thread and = 33 either onsite, shipped from bitmain, or waiting to be shipped. More are ordered ever few days.

The total S5 count changes daily since we are actively selling them, which is why we focus more on the total hashrate which was stated to be running around 300 TH. I do not understand how that does not answer the question? We are low on hashrate to the expected 385 TH because of the way we are upgrading the hardware. There is no mystery there  Cheesy

As for the team, we decided to continue waiting on posting information until the transition of a core team member is complete.

Well you might have another bunch to harass I suggest that people look at the GHX asset. It seems to now be losing money however if you look at the Nice Hash payout they should be in profit, so either incompetence or not the hashing power they state.

This was already explained. We are currently low on hashrate due to a combination of dead units and selling S5s to then turn around and buy S7s to stay relevant.....

https://forum.gethashing.com/t/ghcoin-payouts-discussion-thread/1165/2731?u=thepeddler

Also I'm not sure if folks can see the farm stats with the below link, but if you can you will see we are around 300 TH at the moment (and also fixed an API issue to antpool yesterday which is why the graphs were flatlined for awhile......)

You obviously did not actually look at the actual nicehash payout, but instead estimated based on 385TH to come to your conclusion. The info on updating the farm has been known for awhile and is all in the linked thread somewhere.

Please don't judge based on my post count.
I rarely come to play over here.

I would also suggest that anyone interested look at the book totals for Bittrex and Poloniex and compare them to Cryptsy, its clear that people are either pulling POT off the market or selling off to cashout btc.

If anyone is wondering why people are cashing out of cryptsy, read this.
http://coinfire.io/2015/10/04/federal-investigations-of-cryptsy-underway/

That was me the past 2 weeks cashing out on Crypsty and Poloniex.
Went from 3.6 million POT to zero........

POT was a good idea at the time, but the lack of development will likely continue it's slow death so I got out while there's still some value.
I could be proven wrong with time and if so, those I sold into you are welcome Cheesy

I'd like to urge the DEVs of all weed-coins to condemn these actions and delete the unsubstantiated posts.  This isn't good for anyone.

Are there even active DEVs for Potcoin anymore?
It seems like the only work actually being done is coming from the community.

I was a large supporter initially, but I have been slowly offloading coins as time goes on as this seems to have stalled out.
Any update is appreciated  Smiley

I should check on my orders at bitt and cryptsy Smiley. Had about 200k worth of buy orders in on the way down.

I have been having a field day selling on Poloniex and buying on Crypsty.
So far I've added ~6550 POT through arbitrage, though with current prices between the two it is no longer possible.......
Now if Crypsty would just unlock the wallet that would be great  Cheesy

I have thought about moving some of my coins back into polo to arb, but when they get locked up at crypsty with no timeframe on them starting the wallet backup, no bueno.

Even so, I made what I would make from many years worth of staking the total amount I have with a tiny fraction of it instead.
Cryptsy will either unlock the wallets eventually, or the coin will devalue into oblivion.
I wonder what will happen first since the devs seem to be absent?

30 days left to go!
As of now, we have raised 0.91011008 BTC.

Since there is little response over here, is there a better section of the forum where such a thread belongs so it doesn't get lost in the off-topic section?

I've seen a total of one business that was a legitimate opportunity. The rest have been obviously run by people that don't know what's going on and hope that just by making a crypto business they're going to make millions.

Any chance that opportunity was Gethashing?
I know cloud mining has a bad reputation these days, but the operation is the most transparent I've been involved with so far.
The group has also actively developed (and continues to improve) a full platform around using the open assets protocol including a web wallet (using SALT so everything is stored client side), an asset exchange, and a BTC/colored coin block explorer.

We just finished relocating our first of two batches of hardware to a new DC this weekend so interesting times are ahead!
https://forum.gethashing.com/t/ghfarm-batch-1-relocation-updates/5058?u=thepeddler

6 months and running so far.
With all the developments over that time, maybe some of the skeptics 4+ months ago should take another look  Smiley

I am a member from the Gethashing.com forum and have not posted over here before, so please forgive me if there is a better section for something like this.
Though I am a new account here, please reference my history over there and I also ask anyone familiar with me who may also have an account here to speak up as to my reputation  Smiley

All information is copied from the thread over at Gethashing and the details will be maintained on that forum.
Posting over here is an attempt to reach a wider audience for a good cause!
I ask that even if people are unfamiliar with colored coins, they still consider a donation either directly to the ALS association or via BTC to address 1FpDMSAodLibk26sQTTZr9X2WEjnFecG882.
*Only colored coin sales will be matched per below*

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bits 4 ALS is a charity fundraiser using colored coins to support donations for the ALS association. The motivation behind this is my wife, who was accepted to run for charity for the ALS association in the Chicago marathon.
As part of running, the goal is to raise awareness of the disease and to help raise funding for the organization and I figured it would be a fun way to get some exposure for the crypto community.

What is ALS?
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. A-myo-trophic comes from the Greek language. "A" means no. "Myo" refers to muscle, and "Trophic" means nourishment – "No muscle nourishment." When a muscle has no nourishment, it "atrophies" or wastes away. "Lateral" identifies the areas in a person's spinal cord where portions of the nerve cells that signal and control the muscles are located. As this area degenerates it leads to scarring or hardening ("sclerosis") in the region.

Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to their demise. When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, people may lose the ability to speak, eat, move and breathe. The motor nerves that are affected when you have ALS are the motor neurons that provide voluntary movements and muscle control. Examples of voluntary movements are making the effort to reach for a smart phone or step off a curb. These actions are controlled by the muscles in the arms and legs.

There are two different types of ALS, sporadic and familial. Sporadic which is the most common form of the disease in the U.S., is 90 – 95 percent of all cases. It may affect anyone, anywhere. Familial ALS (FALS) accounts for 5 to 10 percent of all cases in the U.S. Familial ALS means the disease is inherited. In those families, there is a 50% chance each offspring will inherit the gene mutation and may develop the disease. French neurologist Jean-Martin Charcot discovered the disease in 1869.

ALS usually strikes people between the ages of 40 and 70, and approximately 20,000 Americans can have the disease at any given time (although this number fluctuates). For unknown reasons, military veterans are approximately twice as likely to be diagnosed with the disease than the general public. Notable individuals who have been diagnosed with ALS include baseball great Lou Gehrig, Hall of Fame pitcher Jim "Catfish" Hunter, Toto bassist Mike Porcaro, Senator Jacob Javits, actor David Niven, “Sesame Street” creator Jon Stone, boxing champion Ezzard Charles, NBA Hall of Fame basketball player George Yardley, golf caddie Bruce Edwards, , musician Lead Belly (Huddie Ledbetter), photographer Eddie Adams, entertainer Dennis Day, jazz musician Charles Mingus, former vice president of the United States Henry A. Wallace, U.S. Army General Maxwell Taylor, and NFL football players Steve Gleason, O.J. Brigance and Tim Shaw

The Asset Details
https://www.coinprism.info/asset/AatfdkpCiVW8vfxXQRdR6Dqmp5PUJzuNMi3
Assets will be sold for 0.005 BTC each via crowdsale on coinprism and there will be an unlimited amount for sale until September 30th 2015, at which time all sales will stop, the BTC converted to $, and a donation made to the ALS association of all proceeds in the name of the Bitcoin community.

As validation of the donation, I will provide screenshots and provide further personal information to the GH team (Team members of the Gethashing Forum) so they may independently validate the donation was made in the spirit of PoE.

In addition, I will personally match BTC for BTC, all asset sales (regardless of the amount it ultimately ends up being.......)
The match may be slightly delayed depending on volume, but everyone should be able to track it via the following address setup to accept revenue from the crowdsale 1FpDMSAodLibk26sQTTZr9X2WEjnFecG882

To purchase, please send the appropriate amount of BTC to the following address:

Asset Address: akRn6bbz96pcHcGGET5ZkW1Rbqqux9vPLTe
Legacy BTC Address: 1FpDMSAodLibk26sQTTZr9X2WEjnFecG88
Make sure to ONLY send from a color aware wallet.
All issuing fees are paid by me instead of the buyer

This asset is strictly a "thank you" for your support towards the ALS association and as such has been labeled a collectible (non-revenue generating)

For those who are skeptics, or do not want or understand colored coins, I encourage you to directly donate to the ALS association via their website.
Those donations will not be matched by me, but still go to a worthy cause none the less and open up the use of credit cards or paypal instead of using Bitcoin if folks so prefer.

If anyone has questions or suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks!
