Recent development in HUSH:

  • There has been a great progress in HushWebminer which you can test and mine to your taddr without any fees here: http://stilgar.leto.net/?t1WSzHAYxVus7v8GvmJKXmjv3QGkrfe6Cjc
  • New web wallet recieved an update recently allowing to create testnet wallets. You can check the code here: https://github.com/TheTrunk/myhushwallet/tree/development
  • A few days ago a Hushgen has been released! You can create your own cold storage, paper wallets for mainnet HUSH or even for testnet TUSH. There is also a Hushretrieve - you can generate your own vanity address! You can download, build check the code here: https://github.com/TheTrunk/hushgen
  • There is a great progress in porting Bitcore stuff. To the existing bitcore node, lib, build you can now check out the BWS (bitcore-wallet-service-hush), BWC (bitcore-walllet-client-hush), bitcore-mnemonic-hush, bitcore-payment-protocol-hush which will be all used in upcoming bitcore cli wallet, and copays wallet port... https://github.com/TheTrunk/bitcore-wallet-service-hush etc
  • Regarding the new multiplatform wallet and webiste (roadmap), let's keep the drama :-)
Gosh I hate 'marketing'. And yeah I think TLS, repro builds have been mentioned somewhere too.

You guys crying for halving... If you want a huge supply coin, why don´t you mine Digibyte?. doge?, verge?, Sia?, etc etc??, sure all this will give tones of tokens in a day.. but then go out a try to sell them... nobody wanna touch them.!!

if you want a coin that scales you need a product attractive to buyers (investors), and nobody is buying your product if the supply is 350M in a week and 450M a few days later... People that bough at 0.01$ a few days back already lost 50% of their investment!. Halving is not dreaming on lambos.. is giving this thing a chance to survive or get ready to be the DOGE 2.0 And no we don´t need more doges please.

So why you reach out to this coin KNOWING it will have 21B supply, 12.5k reward per block halving every 4 years. Those are immutable parameters (at least 21B but the other are directly connected to it!)

Halving has not been decided from my perspective. Vote is pretty close https://goo.gl/forms/ePzHWJ4New7HoNls1
The guys who support halving can't provide a good answer why, answer to our basic questions, to our solid arguments, no hashing power is considered, no sheep logic considered.
By halving they ARE chaning immutable parameter of total supply - it will be basically impossible to reach that! It will take 80 years just to mine 10Billions of BTCZ (not assuming what has already been mined)

I see only negatives in halving or chaning any other parameter like applying community=dev fee (whatever you call it its a dev fee). Tell me WHY. WHY it is needed?

I asked that because when you click in the invite link from the website it's showing in MAINTENANCE

Is that okay?

There's some problem with a redirect from their web page.  Go straight to the slack channel: https://myhush.slack.com

Slack invites have been disabled due to security problems on slack. Basically someone can steal someones Identity - it's possible to create account with the same nickname. This problem is in slack code so everyone is waiting for them to fix it as it touches every 'group'.

Yeah guys, whats the news? Pretty quiet here.

What do you mean pretty quiet?
Hush is being supported by more and more pools, recently tor explorer was launched, JS browser miner... Developing great code that works needs time. Hush is not hurrying enywhere, is not trying to get listed to some shitty exchanges, pumping the price or so. Hush is not a shitty coin. Just join hush slack and help it grow :-)

Re: Elections, e-voting

I think e-voting will not be safe.I don't understand how the e-vote system will work.Just see the movie "Man of the Year" and you'll understand what I mean.

I think e-voting works in Estonia(?) and was tested in few countries (Finland, France, Netherlands?). I'm just imagining... Each citizen will receive z-address (wallet and privite key can be generated only by goverment) and in the election weak each citizen will receive 1 coin and according to who they want to elect, they send this coin to the specific t-address (transparent). So that way everyone can see how much votes the candidate has but noone can tell who voted him. This is my simple idea that can be improved in many ways.
Thank you for movie recommendation Smiley

Elections, e-voting
by

Today I saw a video how hard it is to make voting system online instead of paper votes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3_0x6oaDmI) (I mean votes for president, goverment elections). Like it can be easily manipulated and anonymity is a big problem. But as I'm deeping into cryptocurrencies I think that Zcash and it's forks like Hush - I think the technology it provides is the solution. Blockchain, decentralized, fully anonymous (z transactions). What do you guys think?

Hi, what is the annual inflation on this coin? Also coinmarketcap is confusing me with 2 different numbers for max supply and total supply. Can anyone clear this up?

According to https://myhush.org : Total Coin Supply: 21,000,000 (same as Bitcoin)

Annual inflation? This coin is way to young. Maybe this might help you: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/hush/

Hi,
i am planning to mine hush using my GTX 1070. which miner do i use? do i just follow the instructions on the website? any advice?

I would recommend EWBF for a miner, most pools will have setup instructions or you should be able to find recommendations in the EWBF thread. If you get stuck on anything post here as I'm sure myself or some of the others can point you in the right direction.

Are there any other miners for nvidia? I have not found anything else.

I don't see any reason why would they do it. They have to stay in legal way where everything is traceable.
I think the better question might be if when and under which circumstances it will be possible to pay with bitcoin. For me it is highly unlikely to happen in the near future, because governments won't allow it.

Re: R290 and RX580 in the same rig !

I have tried that under windows without any luck. The system recognised them, but have not managed to make them both mining, The 290 was mining perfectly, but the second was just sitting on basic frequencies mining almost nothing.
But may it work? Probably yes after a hard playing. Should you do it? No. R series are better with 15.12 (or so) drivers and RX series are better with 17.2 (or so). So I would stick with HD,R in one rig and RX in the second

Re: True power consumption

Well I know about this thing and probably will buy one.
Any guess if 620W Seasonic psu (https://seasonic.com/product/m12ii-620-evo/) is enough for AMDs 1*280 and 2*270? Like I'm thinking its like 250W+2*150=550W + other components and it fits perfectly.

use this
http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/

I'm using it, nd it says it's not enough. Load wattage just from gpus 633W. Which is not even possible. Max power from PCIe is 75W, from 6pin:75W, from 8pin:150W. So 270 can take up to 150W and 280 up to 300W. And 300W seems insane - I would expect 290 to consume that not a 280.

True power consumption
by
TheTrunK
on 19/08/2017, 12:16:56 UTC
Is there any site, calculator, that tells what is the true power consumption of a given card with (stock) settings? Like I'm using: https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator but don't know if it is accurate or it tells more then the real consumption actually is.
Thank you.

Any official source avaiable? Right now I can buy asrocks h81 with cpu about 50$, so if the price will be that high as the asrocks h110 is (180+$), then its pointless.
