Starting the migration to scrypt ASICs.

First Epic Miner installed, 3.6Mhs, 2U, 80W Smiley
Rack will soon be full of these miners.
No heat. No noise. Bliss

Kergekoin,

What are the outer dimensions of that case?  What are the chances that it fits in a standard 19" rack?  Another idea would be to add removable rack mounting "lips" on the front.

Nice work!

Thanks!
This case is 500mm x 500mm x 250mm. Plus nut heads which are 3mm. Same design could be made a bit smaller in theory. Probably could squeeze it to h 460mm x d 400mm x w 220mm without compromising temperatures.

Can I ask about the USB WiFI card?  Can you not place it close to a wired connection?

Specs

GPU: 2 x Sapphire Vapor-X 280x
       3 x Sapphire 7950 (2 x Boost & 1 regular)
PSU: XFX 850 W (2 cards + MB) & Corsair 1000 W (3 cards)
MB: MSI Z77A-GD65
CPU: Intel G2020
RAM: 8GB
OS: BAMT 1.2 on a 8GB USB stick

Ordered unpowered risers and made them all powered so all are running powered risers, PSU's are connected with add2psu.

Made some clocking but not finished yet, will change the 280x to I:13 and run G:2, still looking for a good configuration for the 7950. Also having problems with lowering voltage on all cards.

there is another 280x card on the way that will join the setup.

Enjoy! Smiley

Has token rental started? Any experiences thus far?

I bought batch 1 tokens the day of the ICO.  I received my tokens ON launch day and immediately set them up to "rent."  For the first few days, I would get an email every hour saying that my tokens were not rented and I needed to lower my rental fee.  I was already at the lowest fee selection.  I emailed the tech support folks and got a reply within a few hours that they "Knew about the problem."  Not long after the email exchange, the "canned error" emails stopped.  I logged in and all my tokens are rented and earning me income.  I chalk it up to just working out a few kinks.

Knowing that I had Batch 1 tokens I would say it was pretty smooth with just the one bump.

Hey Dev,

I am a long time supporter of the coin (from even before the re-branding)....

Many of the Scrypt pools that you listed are dead or not active.  What gives?  Are the other algo's more profitable then using Scrypt ASIC's?

Thanks for what you do.

As soon as winter hits, there will be a rush to plug these machines back in.....

In the states, with the summer heat it is almost not worth mining.

I have a machine that has been hashing without issue (other than heat) for the last 3 months.....

Yesterday I rebooted it (via the configuration page) as the pool reported slowing accepted work...

Now it wont restart mining...I just have the "1 TerraMiner Offline: 127.0.0.1" screen.

I have tried:

1, Software rebooting, Via the Configuration page
2, Restating CGMiner, Via the Configuration page
3, Hard rebooting, leaving it unplugged for 15 minutes then plugging it back in
4, Reflashing the firmware

Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks

Are the leds all running the pattern I described in a earlier post?

Not sure.....Its in a CoLo....

With that said, you kind of make it impossible to troubleshoot. I am willing to help, but you are unable to provide any info. Sad

I was able to fix it after having it unplugged for 24 hours.  It appears that it was "heat related"  Now that the box had time to cool off....It is running "hot" but normal.   I will be replacing the paste.

Might I request that CoinTerra continues to KEEP its "E" rating until they start honoring warrantee repairs that were first reported during the warrantee.

I have been waiting for an RMA number for a month.....Now my machine is "out of warrantee" and they will not repair it.

Clearly...Reboot the machine until the "CoreFreqs" all have a value..... (The CoreVolts will also have a value at that point)

There are a number of folks that have had heat issues including re-thermal pasting their chips.

Where are you running this?  In a cool environment?

Also if your machine is out of warrantee, open it up and make sure your fans and radiators are clear of dust....

Can anyone point me to a walk through for solo mining with a gridseed blade??

Currently I am running a ZoomHash CD Image (on a Pi), but I will gladly drop it for something more intuitive.......
