Re: Anticipations for bitcoin
by

.......
Whether or not the goods to be bought are less valuable or not, but that is the main purpose why Bitcoin was created,
so that transactions with Bitcoin will be achieved and Bitcoin becomes a Digital payment that can encompass everything without intervention from parties such as the government.

But now adoption has not fully occurred and Bitcoin is still a speculative asset and mostly a commodity that is only traded and will only be sold when the price reaches the highest price.

If everyone holding Bitcoin doesn't make any moves, Bitcoin really isn't being used properly.
However, it will also reduce the circulation of Bitcoin and the price will also become more expensive.
You are correct in that Bitcoin was created as a peer to peer payment system, but history has proven that humans tend to treat scarce resources as a different type. Look how gold once money was, but the more money people had the more people began to store it rather than spend it, and fiat had replaced daily transactions. Bitcoin appears to be going the same way. What most individuals are practically doing is to use fiat in their day to day activities and invest Bitcoin as a long term store of value.  Bitcoin may remain money, but you cannot get people to spend it so easily as long as scarcity continues to push the demand.

Re: Fine a side hustle and accumulate Bitcoin.
by

There is dignity in labor don't be shy when doing any side hustle that will be easy for you because you will reap the good from your hustle in the future.
It does not matter whether the story of the Brazilian man is true or not as it remains very realistic since recycling is a reasonable side hustle in most countries. I even have friends that collect bottles cans or scraps and resell it to a recycling company to turn it into a consistent amount of money. It is certainly feasible to earn nearly one Bitcoin after two years assuming somebody devotes sources of income to Bitcoin.
What I find inspiring here is the mindset. When trying to find an optimal moment or large salary to invest, many people just look forward but as can be revealed to by this example even the tiniest paycheques can amount to something. It also disuguages the reason that Bitcoin is only for rich people. With a consistent side hustle, and stacking, the long term payoff can be life altering. I also concur with your concern through dignity of labor. It does not even matter what others say about the task that the application that you do as the end results will speak in future.

To me the lesson is clear. Never underrate the small steps and never postpone doing it. Be ready to add another hustle, be disciplined and think long term even when your salary is small. The patients and frequenters of Bitcoins are rewarded as opposed to the unlucky gamblers.

Re: What happens when there is no more Bitcoin available to buy?
by
Theupdude
on 27/08/2025, 15:37:01 UTC
With so many people around the world buying Bitcoin, it’s like a city’s power supply system suddenly collapsing. I can’t imagine it. What do you think?
There is a risk that all the people charge in at the same time and therefore there is a pressure on the entire setup something like a city blackout. The distinction however is that Bitcoin is constructed in such a manner that it corrects itself, gradually by increasing mining difficulty and mining blocks so as not to collapse in its entirety. Heavy network traffic would be the real problem and extremely high fees provided too many people attempt to use it simultaneously. I am personally of the opinion that adoption should be in gradual rates rather than a rush because the system will be able to accommodate such movement.

Re: $1000 bankroll for sports betting question.
by
Theupdude
on 24/08/2025, 22:43:04 UTC
Any strategy will work here, but IT'S NOT GUARANTEED to win or get $10,000 from $1,000.
There's no strategy in gambling that will have this return as it's still gambling, even what strategy you use and even if that is in sports betting. The luck sometimes is still there.

Absolutely, what makes gambling what it is all about is the fact that whatever strategies we come up with the outcomes will still remain uncertain. Even though the margin between $1000 and $10000 is not that much there's no guaranteed way to make such a profit, with that best analysis you can use and best betting system is doesn't make it risk free, at the end of the day anything can still happen
Yeah you never know the probability of the result in gambling whatever the trick. Even when you execute all of the information diligently or when you use a tried and tested system chance still plays a significant part and everything is liable to change in a second. It can be turned into 10,000 but it is never certain and there is the threat of loss of the initial capital. The point to be remembered is that gambling is not an investment of money and whoever believes that he/she can control the money is only a fool. One would do well to do it carefully and only take a risk on money you can afford to lose.

Re: To have kids or not to? Your opinion from economy perspective
by
Theupdude
on 24/08/2025, 22:26:25 UTC
There is the common abbreviation that you'd see in social media now like in TikTok about couples decided to be a DINKWAD.
"Double income no kid with a dog/s".
They like to have no kids at all and as a couple, they're pouring their love to the dogs that they have. And there is nothing wrong if you don't want to have kids. But a country that has a lot of citizens that have this mindset could impact their future economy. I think Japan and South Korea are having this less birth rate on them and the people from their economy could be lesser but a good thing is they can always export people from foreign countries to have their jobs filled by them through a working visa.
Being DINKWAD is a life choice and is no one to judge someone who does not want a child and would rather spend their time raising pets or do something less restrictive in their life. Nevertheless, when large numbers of people in a country follow this lifestyle, then there is likely to be impact on the population growth and may slow down economic growth over the long term. Countries such as Japan and South Korea already experience aging populations and decreasing birth rates, which can cause problems to both labor supply and the social system. Immigration and foreign workers can contribute at the same time, but it is not the ideal solution. It is the compromise between the choice of individuals, as well as national demographics.

Re: Earning salary or owning a business which is better
by
Theupdude
on 24/08/2025, 22:19:07 UTC
Both business owners and salary earning are both income generating activities which helps in providing the basic needs of man, what matters most is the amount of effort you put in running either someone's business or your personal business that determines the output you get at the end. Although must successful men or women are self employed people that have full knowledge of business management and control. Been self employed helps in building financial stability and control over once capital when it comes to finance management  of any kind while and employee don't have such right to make financial decisions except it is approved by his or her employer.

Both self-employment and working for a boss can produce an income, however, the important difference is control and accountability. Being a business owner means that every single decision that you make has an immediate impact on your performance and as a result, you can learn how to handle money, take sensible risks, and increase your capital. Being employed you are secure with a regular salary and do not need to worry about financial choices given you, but you cannot make any such decisions, and your development is censored by the regulations that the employer prescribes. The long term solution is you are more free and able to establish financial stability more permanently in the end (more responsibility and risk) as self-employed.
