Friend of mine is selling rigs with RX574 in total of 900 MH/s for $3700. I think it is quite good price. Would You buy it during this "mining is dead" time? Smiley

If the miners are in good shape, this is a good price..

Yeah you will need more than x1 for the Acorns I'm pretty sure of that.  I find it hard to buy an Acorn, when a 470 8G MSI model is on sale on newegg at 95$ (seems to be new...but who knows).

Do you happen to have a link.. i am guessing my search techniques are getting old.. the cheapest i can find currently is ~150 after a mail in rebate..

Thanks for the update..

Its been 24 hours since i stated mining on the site.. have been on ethermine.org for sometime now.. with about 1.95GH was mining about .15ETH every 25 or so hours.. Since i moved on to Whalesburg (Paid+unpaid) currently is about .075 ETH for similar times.. Is there something i am missing ?

Hi
It seems that something is wrong with the calculation. Or your have to mine few more days (3-5) to get a proper stats (because of PPLNS algo).
I dont think that WB is 5 times better than another pool, but who knows, may be you are so lucky.

By the way, detailed statistics for miners will be available on our website soon. So you will get all the info about your mining.

Not sure i understand.. i am getting half of what i was getting.. was getting .15 and now i get .075..

https://whalesburg.com/statistics/0x3196A551Fc9C6eB6BC3Ecb3823Fa116f30463148

I misunderstood a bit. All because of the round variance. It was about 142% for the last 64 blocks (data for Friday). Bad days happen for all of us.

5 day update : with 3 E3 connected for 5 days.. earning are inconsistent and on all days have been lower to what i would have earned on Etherminer.org
https://whalesburg.com/statistics/0x3196A551Fc9C6eB6BC3Ecb3823Fa116f30463148

Hey please let us know how is that going? Can we help you?

Ill be honest, i lost hope and moved back to Etherminer.. I gave about 3GH now running there and get about 5 ETC daily.. that about ~ .25 ETH ill give it a shot in a week or so from now.. From what i gathered... Because you move from coin to coin, some blocks are never completed and hence earning is never made available..
also the fees thats paid to Bittrex.. to first change to BTC and then to ETH adds up..

Bullshit pool!

This miner has been on the pool since the beginning of the month and has not received one payment yet?
https://etc-speedpool.com/#/account/0x955c02ae0049290b3ca9d9c99041c561fb15e8b3
When two blocks were mined today. That is not possible.

Using your own accounts/miners is not a way to operate a pool.

Avoid this crap!

This is not entirely true ! during the period prior to etc being listed on coin-base i used  this pool for about 6 days or so..
This is a new pool and the OP is working to make it better.. Changes i noticed were
 1) PPLNS system was calculating share% based on last 100 and this was later changed  to 5000.. this helps with folks who are on and stay on..
 2) OP personally took interest in ensuring that each miner got paid a fair amount.. to start with he gave me 1 etc as a joining credit.
 3) at the end of everyday he would calculate earning compared whattomine.com and if he found that earning was lower he would contact me and also compensate me with payment (Orphan block because of config error)
4 ) there was 1 instance of downtime, which was a internet service provider issue.. he compensated me for that too..

I initially started with 1.1gh and increase it to 2 gh.. i have since moved back to ETH mining..
https://gastracker.io/addr/0x848b78241cb5b0c45c42dbe8c7824200812f9a9e for those who want to validate what i said..

All in all, a new pool with an active OP.. can it get better ? yes.. is it crap ? NO just my thoughts

You can add the pool with a few clicks to AIOMiner--a free to use mining software that ensures you'll never need to download another miner ever again!

It comes with a bunch of features like:

-Support on 50+ Algorithms or 1000+ coins, in addition to:

-Timed mining to automatically mine a certain time of the day, for certain days of the week, chosen by you. This helps out with stopping mining during the day due to summer heat or electric rates.

-ETH Pill built in, and able to be initialized automatically on startup

-Displays Temps, Fan Speeds, and Utilization for each GPU right in the dashboard

-Add any coin you want with a few clicks

-Also to reiterate, No Fees taken by AIOMiner

Give us a try and tell us what you think!

If you need help, feel free to hop in our Discord. We have an awesome growing community in there with 1000+ people

Happy Mining!

Mining gear for sale in Florida
by

Hi,

Anyone in Florida interested in buying 8 rigs.. Each rigs has 13 GPUs most are RX 580 4gb.. with a mix of 480 and 470`s too.. Each rig puts out over 360 MH, most do 390 MH..
Rigs are in a wooden frame that allows for easy transport.. HP Platinum power supplies (1200 watts) power 4 GPUS.. so each rig has 3 of these.. the motherboard and 1 gpu is powered by a ATX power supply. Each rig pull about 1800 watts in total.. I am running them on Simpleminig os and run pretty stable and temps are in the range of 60 to 69C

I also have a 3 T9+, 1 A3 and 1 D3.. I should get delivery of 4 E3 any day now.. all of them are also on sale.. Would really like to do 1 deal. open to payments in crypto (BTC, BCH, ETH or ETC) or USD

I am moving and hence need to sell.. Dont have a price in mind but all reasonable offers will be considered..

Regards,
Vaibhav

Cooling with AC? Double electricity costs. For what?  Roll Eyes
Only air flow is a solution. Make real wind - and 47C won't be a problem - dust will.
But don't know how to make it strong and quite. I have it on roof - 4*500mm fans with 6700m3/hour each. Equivalent of 200*GTX1060 is easily handled.

I am assuming that given the fans are on the roof you are using them as exhaust. Is that right ?

Hi,

I have about 104 cards (Most are AMD, only 13 are Nvidia) and 9 ASICs running in a small bedroom.. i had the below setup working for over 6 months without any issues.. other than some neighbors complaining about the fan noise Sad which was about 55 db..

Temps on AMD is much higher than those on Nvidia so solutions needs to be different.. I live in Florida where external temp in summer range 90F to 110F

I had a very simple setup.. using an air filter to let fresh are in on one side (No fans) and on the exhaust side  used 2 of these " MaxxAir Pro 24 in. Industrial Heavy Duty, 2-Speed, Multi-Purpose PRO Tilt Drum Fan"

Intake area should be the lowest possible and exhaust should be at the highest point possible..
also made sure that intake for all GPU, power supply and ASICs where pointing the right direction..

I had to take the setup down last week to see if i could move it to the garage or the back of the house.. Running ACs is just not an option for me as the price to install and run them will make the entire setup non profitable.. it hardly making any money at the moment as is ..

for now, i am experimenting with changing stock coolers to ARCTIC Accelero Xtreme IV.. i will also space the cards at least 8 inch from each others..

I'm surprised you didn't set your house on fire yet !!!
There are so many things wrong with this setup.
First you are relying on negative pressure in your room to suck fresh air in through a filter. That means your miners don't have enough air to cycle.
Second the little air you bring in is already at the maximum operating temperature of those miners.
PSU's operating at such temperatures loose efficiency, cables don't work properly ... so many things I can't even begin to consider.
I would sincerely suggest you invest in a good fire suppression system or a good home insurance if you are to keep this setup. Or at least do it in a shed in your back yard far away from your house.

I visited an miner hosting facility and they had a similar setup, in Fort Lauridale, Florida . as i understood it they too did not have additional cooling or forced intake, they had only exhausts systems.. Also CCN (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zae_QeItIg) for the GPU setup also is only using exhaust.. (His advantage is intake air is relative cooler..)
While my room is always 93F which is about 33C all my cards are at 65C which is what i set the temps too.. my GPU fans on most are 60% which is also what i set them too..

But point duly noted for the fire systems and insurance Smiley http://

Late to this party.. but still trying to make up my mind.. the ETH performance increase expected is about 15%

I have 13 GPU(470/480 based) rigs.. so will need the X4 and 4 of the CLE 101.. that would give me ~56MH bump and expected price is about $900.. have not really read about the power consumption..  am i missing something here ?

Edit :  IS this true Huh "so if acorn really reduce energy cost at 60% this is really good deal for me"

because if it is.. this makes perfect sense !!

I'm actually not sure about that, many of us are undervolting already, so i'm curious if that up to 60% is on top of undervolting that many are doing or is it assuming at stock voltages?  If it really is up to 60%, that is totally worth it, as I'm paying 22 cents /kwh.  a 50% increase would be substantial.

Yeah.. anyone in FL who has ordered on of these?
22 cents is crazy ! what are you mining to make it worth it ??

Nice setup.. have a small 120 GPU setup that i had running in a spare bedroom.. I was venting hot air out via a maxair 24 inch fan..  HOA required i move my rigs to an area where they could not be heard.. Have moved it to the garage for now.. Heat is my biggest problem.. cant drill holes in the walls..

Planning on opening a door from the garage partially and making an additional screen door and mounting an exhaust on it.. how loud are the QuietCool AFG PRO-3.0 Attic Gable Fan Model fans (Red ones)

How many have you or others had to use ?

Also most of the PSU are the HP Server PSU.. they are super efficient, each 1200watt (@220V or 900W @110V) is powering 4 gpus (Rx570/ Rx580) as long as ambient temp is under 87F they work great.. any higher the PSU are like jet engines ! i have just 24 of these and they are the main reason for all of the noise Sad

... any idea how to isolate or reduce the noise.. dont want to buy new PSUs..

Whats up miners, I have been struggling setting up my rigs, I currently have 3 GPU Rigs, 1 is perfectly working and no problems but the other 2 are just causing me problems for some reason. Sometimes they cant find the GPU and or have Distributed COM error. Sometimes it just has code 43 for the graphics cards.

My rigs:
My Specs:
12GTX 1070, 24 GTX 1070Ti's

Asrock 110 Pro BTC+

8 GB Ram (each)

2 1300W PSU (each)

Please help a brother out and help me fix these rigs, I have been struggling for like a month or 2 figuring out how to fix these problems.

What OS are you using ? i was going to assume Win 10
What drivers are your running ?
Any additional changes you may have made ?
What trouble shooting have you currently completed ?
