Last 420 blocks to fork. I am impatient for Infinity Nodes.
What a great time! We now have less than 2 hours before the momentous hardfork from SUQA x25i to SIN x25x with Infiniti nodes, greater ASIC resistance, SINcyption and so much more!

Huge shout-out to all the developers working tirelessly behind the scenes - discord has been ablaze with issues and resolutions, and constant updates and help.

Also, mega kudos to all the members of the community who have been reporting issues, testing SIN, preparing pools and miners for SIN , and mining, supporting, buying this coin in advance of the hardfork.

With continued support from everyone who is onboard now, we should all enjoy GREAT rewards in the second half of 2019 - and beyond!

Here's to the team that delivers! May SUQA rest in peace and long live SIN!

2 blocks away! Not quite the ball drop in NYC on New Year's eve, but close... anybody else hitting refresh on on the explorer? http://suqaexplorer.com/

xpoor explorer :-D
looks like 169999 here too - https://suqa.ccore.online/
others more accurate?

have I been deceived?!!!  :-O

NVIDIA CudaMiner Update!
MBCians,

The faster and improved version of the NVIDIA CudaMiner is finally here!

Download from the link below:
https://github.com/MicroBitcoinOrg/CudaMiner/releases/tag/1.0.2
Can confirm DRAMATIC speed increase from previous version!  I'm currently getting 2.2 MH/s on a single GTX 1070Ti. (up from 96 kh/s before...)

It is great to see that one person no longer controls 98% of the hashing power on this coin. (https://miningpoolstats.stream/microbitcoin)

Huge THANK YOU to the developer! You have enabled all of us little folks to rejoin the ranks of the faithful MBC miners and earn some MBC.  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Fork is due on saturday/sunday i believe, block 170 000

Actually i should buy another 500k and get the big SIN ;-)

Discord link: https://discord.gg/fGzXsFp

Thank you for the reply. Man, i'm just trying to get the Mini going.
The countdown continues! SUQA current block is 166873 - see http://suqaexplorer.com/ . We are 3127 blocks away from 170000. At 30 blocks per hour we're ~104 hours away from the hardfork and SINOVATE Mainnet launch.

My best guestimate for "go live" is 5/31/2019 @ 8:26 PM CST – gives us all a little more time to accumulate enough coins for an Infiniti Node.  Cheesy

Pool info
You can find pools that have set up in advance of SIN launch here:  https://miningpoolstats.stream/sinovate

Please keep in mind that any SIN that you mine between now and "go live" date is on TESTNET and has no value and will not appear in your new MAINNET SIN wallet. The pools have established the ability to test mine X25X prior to launch so we can all check our miners (and they can test their configurations) - in advance of the hardfork/mainnet launch on May 31st.

It's great to be prepared ahead of time!   Cheesy

I think that will be Friday sometime.
Man, a proper new MasterNode Innovation.
Not another copy and paste of Dash or something.

These guys have some excellent innovations on how to curb inflation and gt really decent returns.
And no stupid lies like 1000000% return in 30% like some useless projects.

Just realistic work calculated returns.
Agreed! Common sense and realistic goals set this coin apart from so many others.

I have been actively mining/buying coins across many projects for a couple of years now. The SUQA/SINOVATE team seems to be doing so many things right.  Infinity Nodes address the inherent weaknesses of high inflation and coin emission that occur in the masternodes of other coins.  There is SO much more in addition – everyone should spend a few minutes reading https://medium.com/sinovate/infinity-nodes-groundbreaking-sinovate-evolved-masternodes-7ce54eb61900 - to see how well the team has thought out and overcome other issues by implementing new approaches such as Revolving Sovereignty Votes (RSV) and Incorruptible Data Storage (IDS) and more!

Also the dev team is much more responsive than many other projects/coins. The developers are active on the Discord channel and are addressing issues as they arise and doing everything possible to ensure a smooth transition from SUQA to SIN. Rather than launch with issues to meet an arbitrary date (or block), they chose to postpone the hardfork to get things right the first time. This speaks volumes to the maturity and mindset of the team.

This coin has incredible potential and I am very pleased that I can be a (small) part of such a great coin and community.

Hello MBCians!

I have a question to MBC miners.

What do you consider most when choosing a pool to join?

Feel free to tell me. Thank you Smiley

The top pools are all well run and used to pay out on regular basis. Unfortunately since May 9th a single (private) miner had been mining 98%+ of all MBC coins.  The developer has exploited a weakness in the new RFV2 algorithm and updated his miner to take advantage of said weakness. After 18 days, even with updates to the CPU and NVidia miners, the rest of the MBC community (99.99% of us) are left to fight for the remaining 1%-2% of all new MBC coins created.  While I applaud the developer for his extensive knowledge and coding skills, this much control in the power of one pool and one person is extremely unhealthy for any coin.  I would suggest mining elsewhere until the playing field is leveled.

You can check https://miningpoolstats.stream/microbitcoin anytime to see if/when it becomes feasible for all of us to compete in the mining process.

Please keep in mind that any SIN you mine between now and "go live" date is on TESTNET worthless and will not appear in your new MAINNET SIN wallet. FYI - SUQA current block is 165776 - see http://suqaexplorer.com/
So we're 4224 block away from 170000. At 720 blocks/day we're ~5.8 days away from SIN Mainnet launch.

ok, new T-Rex NVIDIA GPU miner work fine. Wink

The countdown continues - SUQA current block is 166527 - see http://suqaexplorer.com/

Is the new wallet out yet
From Cryplander on discord - Please upgrade to the newest wallet. If you installed the first SIN wallet then you are on another chain because the first wallet was for block 165.000!!

Wallet update is available here -> https://github.com/SINOVATEblockchain/SIN-core/releases/tag/INFINITYNODES

What is the estimated UTC time
Right now at block 164716. Everyday 720 blocks every 2 minutes.
Update from the discord channel - the hardfork has been postponed to block 170000. The developers are working very hard to fix a wallet issue on the Mac wallet. They are very wise to postpone the hardfork just a little longer to make sure that everything is working as expected prior to SIN launch.

Also, I learned that for all of us with SUQA that is timelocked, after the hardfork, the SUQA coins will be seen as immature in the new sin wallet. Also once the timelocks reach their enddate, they will become available as SIN. No need to send from old wallet to new wallet.

Hope this helps someone else out!

Dev, what happend with the updates?

A follow-up to vella85's posting on March 12th... is there still no web site?

The Honey  Webite link on coinmarketcap.com/currencies/honey/ directs the users to http://honeycoin.info/ which is now showing as a newly registered domain on namecheap...

Wondering if this is part of the transition of a new site or a domain speculator/cybersquatter who just grabbed the domain when it became available.

I *want* to believe in this project, and hope this move is part of the long awaited update.

While I recognize that a full-blown roadmap and/or project plan with dates and milestones, is unrealistic for HoneyCoin, it would be great to get a quick status update (a few sentences) from the developer every week or two to help instill confidence.

For example:
  • Completed: April 15th Moved domain to new host. Migrated code and began update process and beta testing.
  • In Progress: April 20th deployed new TestHoneyCoin.info  site for review and feedback by faithful Honey followers.
  • Next in queue: May 1st - team to continue work on blockchain

Not trying to tell developers how to run project, but know from many years in the IT world, that a little communication goes a very long way. Especially when so many other projects (coins) are competing for mind space in the alt coin communities.

Hello,

I have big problem, it is impossible to sync the wallet even with active connection,
The wallet keep say that is not synch with network as i just downloaded it so i see my coin but not in confirmed, please can somebody help please.
Does the coin is dead ? what happening ?

If you are using Windows - this should help:
Windows:
1) Make sure Honey.exe is not running
2) Open File Explorer and Type %APPDATA%\Honey and hit enter. Your file explorer window will open to your Honey Directory

Note: if the folder doesn't exist, just go to %APPDATA% instead and create the Honey folder

3) Delete the following if they exist:
•   Database folder
•   Txleveldb folder
•   blk0001.dat file

4) Download the bootstrap blockchain file here: https://mega.nz/#!7XRRUIxQ!h5LAYvwDTyaMaFmrFx99Mu11smJuJ0WHZK14HZ7k75g
(That file was uploaded by https://www.coffeepool.org/ and will get your blockchain up to March 12th 2018 – which gives a big boost to wallet sync)

5) Extract the new downloaded file to the %APPDATA%\Honey folder
6) Start Honey.exe like you normally do
7) Let the wallet synchronize any recent transactions
8 ) Consider supporting https://www.coffeepool.org/ since durich uploaded a fairly recent blockchain to get you going

And no I'm not associated with coffepool.org - just trying to help out with Honey Coin!

As for your other question - I hope Honey is not dead, but developer postings are few and far between.

Re: [ANN][MANNA] Manna: Universal Basic Income + Blockchain
by

on 09/03/2018, 15:02:10 UTC
As legion_miracle mentioned, many extraordinarily wealthy and/or well-known individuals are openly supporting UBI. While the early-adopters are forward-thinking and altruistic, other extremely wealthy individuals will eventually realize that an ever increasing wealth disparity between the ultra-rich and everyone else is not indefinitely sustainable. History has proven time and time again, that large numbers of people who are hungry, oppressed, exploited, and feel that they have nothing left to lose will eventually rebel. The rich are often targeted and their families attacked and forced to flee or are killed, and their homes looted and ransacked when those rebellions occur. From a practical standpoint, even those who currently despise the thought of “handouts” (UBI) - it is much easier to placate the masses with basic income than face future rebellions that may end in violent overthrow. In short, UBI helps keep people relatively happy, fed, clothed and housed, which in-turn allows the very rich to remain in power and enjoy their lifestyle without the threat of civil unrest.

Additionally, there are already small UBI experiments either underway or planned. The Finnish government randomly selected 2,000 unemployed Finns from across the country for a trial testing universal basic income. It started in January of 2017 and will run through the end of 2018. Many news outlets are tracking the successes and failures. I am confident that many other governments are closely watching as well.

If it can be shown that people can attain higher education, or start new businesses, or simply become less stressed or less prone to violence while receiving UBI then that will provide another big boost.  Challenges and growing pains will certainly arise out of the UBI movement, and adoption will come much sooner in some countries than in others, but when implemented correctly it seems the best solution for many of the people-related challenges we face globally.

Hello everyone,
I've finally managed to get the wallet working.

In order to complete the sync, you have to use the newest version (2.1.2.0) from Github (https://github.com/cryptofun/honey/releases - Win or quite easy compile for Linux - tried both) and download the mentioned blockchain archive couple of pages before (it stops on block 2 without the download). It took about an hour to complete sync and now it works. You have to use the newest version, otherwise the sync will fail on ORPHAN BLOCK.

TL;DR: In order to save everyone time, here is an up-to-date blockchain archive from 2018-02-28: https://ulozto.net/!BZVVWRxGqrhs/honey-blockchain-20180228-zip
Just download it, put it to your Honey data folder (back up your wallet file!) & run the app.

thank you very much, kind man. really help

thank you very much, kind man. really help!! Cпacибo !! eдинcтвeнный ктo пoмoг!!

I have seen many of us struggling with Honey Blockchain errors and “Wallet out of sync” issues. I got my copy of the blockchain from honey-wallet-setup-guide-windows on coinguides, and a good Samaritan (hats off to you Gumcz) uploaded a compressed copy of the blockchain. But I’m wondering what it would take to formalize a compressed distribution on Github in the  (https://github.com/cryptofun/honey/releases) directory.

If a “formal” and (ideally) regularly updated blockchain file (honeychain.zip or honeychain.tar.gz) was available – everyone having an issue could download a copy and quickly sync their wallet.

Once a bootstrap file was available, we could then add a guide similar to the following:

=  = = = = = =

How to Bootstrap the Honey Blockchain
This guide will help you install a recent version of the Honey blockchain. This will significantly speed up the task of getting the blockchain synced up so you can use your wallet.

4) Download the zip file with the most recent date or largest block number here: https://github.com/cryptofun/honey/releases/blockchain
5) Extract the new downloaded file to the %APPDATA%\Honey folder
6) Start Honey.exe like you normally do
7) Let the wallet synchronize any recent transactions

Mac:
1) Make sure the Honey wallet is not running.
2) Open "Finder".
3) Use this shortcut "Command+Shift+G" to bring up 'Go to Folder':
4) Delete the following if they exist:
•   Database folder
•   Txleveldb folder
•   blk0001.dat file
5) Download the zip file with the most recent date or largest block number here: https://github.com/cryptofun/honey/releases/blockchain
6) Extract the new downloaded file to the ~/.Honey/ folder
7) Start the Honey wallet like you normally do.
8 ) Let the wallet synchronize any recent transactions

Linux:

=  = = = = = = (found the above guide for another coin I mine and modified it for Honey - and it was a lifesaver for synchronizing a *huge* blockchain) = = =

If others see value in an effort such as this, and we can find out how to get a blockchain bootstrap to the Honey directory of Gituhub - I'll be happy help out!

We can collaborate to create a more formalized guide with screen captures and additional details if folks are interested.

Working together we can make Honey even sweeter for everyone!

Hi there, I'm enthusiastic about the idea, but after digging in a little more, I have some concerns about security / development of this project...

  • The wallets page does not seem to mention Open Source, GitHub, compiling yourself, etc.  I found the source code on GitHub, but it hasn't been touched for almost a year.
  • The website does not use https, so literally everything users see / download there could be replaced by a MITM effortlessly.
  • The Android wallet is not on Google Play.  Instead it is just an APK file to download from the website (see item above).
  • Did not find GPG keys or digests for the files, so installing any of these is really dangerous (especially for anyone who might have another cryptocurrency on the same system like people here).
  • The Linux binary on the website has no file extension.  Not a big deal, but makes me wonder if anyone has ever downloaded and used it.

I have some questions about the economics / distribution, but need to read & think more.  :-)

I have looked into this coin myself and had these concerns as well as the business model of the coin itself.  The idea is nice and all but i'm not exactly sure how the execution is going to work, perhaps i'm not fully understanding how it all will work.  That being said, I do actually want to see this one succeed because well, the cause seems noble and can actually help some very poor people in their lives.

The economics and distribution of UBI are very important considerations. A review of articles on UBI challenges and proposed solutions has led me to believe that the technical and practical aspects of UBI can and will be overcome within the next 6 to 12 months. Searching "Universal Basic Income think-tanks" led me articles and sites where many very smart people are working through many of the challenges. Fortunately cryptocurrency provides a viable solution for both distribution and decentralized control.

One of the largest remaining impediments, IMHO, is pushback from national governments, central banks and the rich/powerful everywhere who have greatly benefited from the current systems and practices. A new income system that reduces the power/control of those who have it is likely to face significant resistance from those same people and institutions. A second and equally formidable challenge will be changing the mindset of the masses in some countries. In the USA for example, the concept of income is very tightly bound to "earnings" or "holdings" - many people would argue that UBI equates to money for nothing and would promote laziness and/or idleness. Changing deeply ingrained mindsets can take a very long time.

However, there is a storm on the horizon that may force societal change and almost everyone to rethink UBI. The advancements in AI and automation will displace millions of workers globally and ballooning debt levels/fiscal crises will devastate many fiat currencies in the years ahead. This trifecta of upheaval may spark widespread discussion and ultimate acceptance of UBI (hopefully) or civil unrest/state collapse/failure of national governance (bad times for all involved). Let us all hope that viable UBI such as Manna comes to fruition in the near-term to prevent widespread catastrophe in the long-term.

Manna relaunch is going to take GRT to the moon. I decided to sell 1/3 of my investment (against my better judgement) just to create a little liquidity in my portfolio....I know after Manna I am likely going to kick myself in the ass for doing so. The team over at Grantcoin / MannaCurrency is amazing, with a true vision for future success. I have been fortunate enough to personally speak to Brandon Venetta, a team member of Grantcoin, and can honestly say that there is a lot of passion for the future of this coin to be successful. I will hold my remaining 2/3 for quite some time just as most of the users of Grantcoin are doing.

Keep up the great work guys....you are creating positive change in the world...Very glad that I supported this coin, and look forward to continuing to support this team.

Thank you! We're working hard to make this project a success! We've been a couple weeks delayed in the rollout of the new website (now in debugging phase), but we're getting ready to release some things this week such as wallets and whitepaper.

Keep up the great work guys, glad to have been an early supporter and long term Hodler of GrantCoin, can't wait to see what the future holds for us as we merge to Manna

While I'm fairly new to UBI - GrantCoin, now Manna, seems to be head and shoulders above the other UBI efforts. Distribution started today and I'm optimistic that this project will be the future of UBI. Best of luck to the team and all supporters/holders!

This worked for me. Stopped and closed the Honey wallet. Downloaded blockchain and replaced the files in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Honey - with the files in the download. I reopened the wallet and it started syncing within a few minutes and finished a couple hours later. Good luck!
