I'll be doing a CKDB restart in 2 shifts from now.
That will roughly be at 01:45 UTC (about an hour from now)
No miners will be affected.
I'm adding changes to reduce the amount of RAM required during a CKDB restart so I can do the luck report change I mentioned before.
It would effectively mean running CKDB twice on the server, once as normal and a second time for the duration of generating the luck report, so I need to get the memory footprint on the main CKDB down more, to be able to do that, with recent changes.

I'm working on sorting out the web login problem ...
Nothing major, but the web password hash (only) that is being passed to CKDB is being truncated due to the last change.
I've patched CKDB on the server to fix it and will restart CKDB (in about 1 minute ...)
I'll code a better fix for it later, but this one is OK and gets logins working again.
The previous restart drastically reduced restart memory usage, so that was good at least
CKDB restart in 1 minute.

Well...me, too...but I can't login either. Just added an A6 and can't find out if it's connecting. It'll be OK.

Hi all. Is having my miners off for 5 hours yesterday, ( girl came over to vacuum) while I was at school, the reason my rewards are down today on a per instance basis by .0007 BTC ?
Depends on what your hash rate is.However, if your miners went off you would have seen the ~31hr ramp down of payments, then when switch back on the ~31hr ramp back up.
Your per block reward depends on your hash rate vs the pool hash rate which goes up and down all the time.
If the pool hash rate goes up, we expect on average to find more blocks so if all blocks were 100%, you'd average less per block but more blocks.
The reverse of course is also true if it went down.
The Pool->Graph menu shows you the randomness of the pool hash rate

the kano pool monitor is malfunctioning - it does not show log ins and is appearing on screen as logged in. also the categories are not visible. is this known to the admin zach@zachmonroe.com

If you create an account and use your account name, you will get more stats and you could use your API key on https://ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com to get even more data and setup worked, block and hash rate alerts.

Yes, the API key is under ACCOUNT then USER SETTINGS. The Key and your account name is what is needed for ckpoolmonitor. The user name is what our created your Kano account with and also what you mine with username.workername with worker name being anything you want.

I need to reset the password on the web interface of my s5. I don't know what it is. will a factory reset on the miner ( paperclip to press down and hold 5-10 seconds) do the trick and should I power down the miner first?

Um... well, you might want to flash the firmware as a first step. Go to S4 Firmware to get it from Bitmain.
Also, make sure you don't have that miner exposed to the outside world (i.e. you don't have port forwarding to it). Change the password for sure.

Wow, where did you get the miner? Maybe seller flashed it with his own info but looking at the address your not the only one this is happening to, this hacker made over 8btc so far with this hack.
I bought the miner off of Amazon from HolyScott computers, although I swear when I ordered it it was from Centrix and was advertised as fully refurbished including a new image flashed to the SD card. I also updated it to the CG miner 4.8 myself from the Bit Main site.
Yes, I immediately tracked down this scumbag using block explorer and he or she has so far gotten a pretty good haul using this one address. It's pretty pissy but I think I've gotten enough tips from the good people here to right the ship. Man, I freaking hate thieves and liars.

I access the miner by plugging it into my router and then going to its address on the LCD screen of the miner through my browser. I cannot open my router for some reason.

Now you can setting it up how you want with your IP, pool settings etc.. and see if the problem returns.

I've reset all those things while the s4 was connected and operating. However, I do need to go and do that offline. I didn't know it was possible. Thank you. I am getting the firmware from bitmain's website.

Thank you for all of your help. I appreciate it a lot. It's very frustrating to have come into this problem. It alleviates a lot of the anguish when people more knowledgeable than myself will help me get back to hashing. I had to respond to everyone's replies in one post because I am new to the forum and there blockades in place that limit my ability to post. Thank you all again. I will update after I have tried everything suggested.

I've already flashed the latest firmware image, reset many times, and reset the password. However, I have not done all of those things at one time so to start how can I close off port forwarding?
