Re: Can you give one reason why I should buy bitcoin?
by
Thomas Kralow
on 27/05/2023, 01:41:31 UTC
You need to convince yourself about an investment and not let others do the thinking for you. Some are into bitcoin for financial freedom without depending on the banking system, some buy it for the potential ROI, some others use it as a retirement plan, the purpose is different for different people.

Understand what bitcoin is and what value it offers, then decide to buy or not.

- Jay -

Everyone bought it, so they bought it. This is the reason for buying Bitcoin. If you want to ask me what is the underlying technology of the blockchain, I didn't understand it at the beginning. I didn't have the urge to learn more, but simply bought 500U of Bitcoin.

Re: Will FireDAO make a difference in the altcoins ?
by
Thomas Kralow
on 07/03/2023, 02:08:40 UTC

FireDAO was launched on the Arbitrum One mainnet on February 17, 2023, which is a social DAO based on PID and FID soul-bound accounts. The team behind this project has been working relentless for two years. The tech team has been funded by the RainbowCity Foundation and dedicated to this project with all talents in their area of expertise. Now the registration has reached over 950 and the number is steadily increasing. https://app.firedao.co  . With more effort and hark work, new implementations will be released soon next week. What do you think of this project ? Will it become a great project that benefits all users ? Please let me know your thoughts.
In the cryptocurrency market, except for Bitcoin, others are called altcoins. Currently, the number of altcoins in the market is astonishing. If a high-quality project wants to arouse a strong reaction in the market, I think there are several necessary conditions: 1. The founder and technical team are relatively famous, and genes are very important. 2 The project is invested by well-known investment institutions, which means the trend and direction of the industry. 3. Strong community support.

It will not make any different in the altcoins. Firedao was just another galxe that was based on arbitrum. I see no unique feature that has been offered by this one. Your expectation was too high. It's also pretty much the same like BABT that already used by binance for its users.

I also browsed the official website of this project. At present, there are still many functions that are not online, and the social media links cannot be opened.

This project is indeed very similar to GALXE. Out of curiosity, I opened the official FIREDAO forum. I found out that their forum is very similar to Bitcoin Forum. Here I saw the white paper of FIREDAO.

https://forum.firedao.co/index.php?topic=227.0

I didn't read the specific content, but just looked at the catalog. In addition to the DID identity protocol of WEB3 (I don't know whether the KYC of the wallet address on the chain is correct, I don't know), there are many other DEFI products. I am more concerned about the community governance of DAO, and I cannot give more comments for the time being.

Re: What makes a crypto project reliable and trustworthy ?
by
Thomas Kralow
on 31/01/2023, 02:46:05 UTC
The most simple thing to know if the project are reliable and trustworthy is depends on the protocol, it must be decentralized and able to trade without centralized exchange.

Decentralized make your coin can't get frozen, controlled and manipulated since you don't have to trust anyone including the CEO. It will be different if the coin is centralized, you must trust the CEO and hope he wouldn't rug pull his own project.

Government always tightening their rules and it's need KYC to trade in centralized exchange, the worst thing is the exchange can freeze your account and confiscate your funds. If you trade on decentralized exchange or non custodial P2P platform, your coin will be 100% safe.

But you need to know 99% coins are centralized, only 1% or less are 100% decentralized.
A project with a decentralized protocol is truly not controlled by others. You have complete autonomy, but the project party does not know where to go, and the tokens of this agreement are meaningless. There is no value left. It is the most reliable if you want Satoshi Nakamoto to create Bitcoin. There is only one reason, everyone's consensus is indestructible.

Re: Signs of a better year for btc investors
by
Thomas Kralow
on 19/01/2023, 01:44:41 UTC
I suppose, if we try to be optimistic, it's very good that Bitcoin didn't fall even lower, but it's very close to the bottom now, so I wouldn't say that it's a sign of a better year. Sure, there's a bit of positive movement, but for now it's just tiny fluctuations, not worthy of serious considerations. Bitcoin can still go down or stay at a current 1/4 of the maximum price. 2023 might be a good year, but a year is a long time, and what if it gets better closer to its end? It's important to keep calm and be patient, prepared for a continuation of the bear market. In that case, you'll be mentally prepared for bad times but pleasantly surprised if it's suddenly over.
From the perspective of the global economic situation, 2023 is not an optimistic year, and inflation is becoming more and more obvious. In traditional industries, prudent investment has become the unanimous view of everyone. It is precisely because of this that the encrypted world may become a hot spot for investment, attracting more investors and shareholders to the encrypted world and investing in digital currencies. Therefore, I feel that the encryption world in 2023 will gradually prosper.

Re: Solana takes back top 10 position
by

on 16/01/2023, 02:15:53 UTC
Solana is once again a top ten coin, I am starting to feel like I will regret not buying solana and hold for a long time because if this project survive it will bring the highest ROI in the list of top coins on coinmarketcap, the present value is even looking good, what is your take on Solana? Are you a believer or you think it won't do well for long.
As one of the high-quality projects, I am very optimistic about SOLONA, which solves the scalability of the blockchain. Although there may be some bugs, I firmly believe that his future is bright. The silence of the bear market is not indicative of the future. I hope that in 2023, it will bring me good income, after all, I have persisted for a long time.

Re: is investing in ethereum safe?
by

on 13/01/2023, 07:34:33 UTC
I don't have experience in altcoins, but I have quite an interest in investing in altcoins, but when I hear the news that investing in altcoins is very dangerous because the potential for losses is so big, but I found out on the internet, it turns out that we can invest in altcoins as long as the in quality altcoins,
and finally I saw on cmc that the number 1 altcoin is ethereum, and finally I'm quite interested if I have the capital to want to invest in ethereum.
and I saw the news that it turned out that a lot of people were investing in ethereum because the ethereum project is very good and has a lot of fans. and I want to ask everyone?

: does ethereum have a good future?

: is it not wrong if I choose to invest in ethereum?

: what is the drawback of ethereum?

: why is ethereum the no. 1 ALTCOIN?
For most users, Ethereum is an attractive digital asset, and the future is sure to be bright. In the long run, I don’t know what the final result will be, but it is currently the digital currency with the richest ecology and the best investment value. As the second largest digital currency by market value, its status and community strength are also the strongest. Ethereum is also the most powerful example of decentralized finance

Its just 11 days into the new year and 2023 is already showing signs of hope for bitcoin investors. Bitcoin is currently on 17k plus as of this morning when i check my binance app which is currently a good results as bitcoin has been stuck at 16k for a very long time. Investor and btc holders will be very happy seeing this significant rise although it is a volatile currency and can change its rate anytime yet its still a positive start to the new year.
At this moment we can hope for the rise to continue and maybe hit a point where investors can boost of a good profit added to their btc coins.
I was directed here and have learnt alot and i will no longer call it a hasty decision if i were to get my own btc in my own wallets but i haven't gathered enough finance to do that and am looking to sell some of my old stuffs which am no longer using to start my own bitcoin journey. I have some stuffs like an old TV set, some old cooking gas and sone rusty old furnitures in my house which i think can fetch me some reasonable amount of money to start this journey and the good part of it is that I don't use these stuffs so its better to sale it and use the money for my bitcoin investment.

Just hoping we all can hodl up more longer maybe 2023 has something special it has to offer #keephodling
Your point of view represents the good wishes of most people. In short, the current positive signals still make people full of patience for the bear market. I know who said a word, a positive person is like the sun, who will illuminate the haze. When people encounter ups and downs and difficulties, there is a person who gives you hopeful guidance with reason and evidence. Even if you don’t understand, you can Feel empowered.

Re: SBF said: WHAT HAPPENED?

Are there death threats for them? Well, it's the US so I doubt that someone has the audacity to that to them, so this is just a exaggeration on their part to have this private guards that can rival even the President? Lol..

Considering the fact that so many people were deceived, I believe that there will be enough people who want to take revenge on Sam Bankman-Fried for their losses. Therefore, such protection is not something excessive. What is surprising in this case is that even during the investigation, he continues to spend the money of his deceived investors.
Now SBF going to prison is his greatest protection. Do you want to understand a truth? Being protected is not restricting freedom. After all, SBF is at the top of the food chain, so the makers of the rules of the game, far from the coin game players, have more right to speak and freedom.

Re: Bitcoin Banking is more reliable and faster
by
Thomas Kralow
on 07/01/2023, 06:44:50 UTC
I can boldly say that Bitcoin Banking is more reliable and fast because Bitcoin transactions is been done through wallet, the only problem that may occur is if the wallet is not correct another challenge is if the transaction is been encountered with down network but this is in rare cases.

The emergence of Bitcoin is to solve the problem of trust and security. For 14 years so far, Bitcoin has always been safe. If there is a problem, it is the loss of some mnemonics and keys on the wallet. While cryptocurrencies have been dismissed as scams or economic bubbles, there are human causes that go wrong. It has nothing to do with blockchain technology.

There are many stories about using bitcoin or digital currency to buy things, but your story is the simplest. I know you are excited and will feel very happy. This is just a good start, when Bitcoin is used as a global payment method, such stories will not appear in the forum again.

Re: Most newbies don't know this

A friend of mine was recently hacked, but he did not lose anything that was on hardware wallets.
Yeah, it's better to have most funds in a hardware wallet and that is because when someone accessed it without authorization, they're hardly get it because there's an authentication that shall go through with the device itself (hardware wallet) and without such access to the HW, they're unlikely to touch the funds that are kept there.
OP is just explaining that everyone can add as much as addresses as they can even in other networks under one seed phrase provided by Metamask.
For the most popular wallets in the world, most of the exploits are developed by hackers. If you store money on software wallets, you will still lose it as a result of inattention. A $70 hardware wallet protects against such threats. But if the user is inexperienced and uses unknown smart contracts, then even a hardware wallet will not help him.

Hackers or code technicians will figure out the logic of the wallet, because creators have the habit of leaving a back door in the design of various applications.

Re: Bounty hunters, how much you really earned in the last two years?
by
Thomas Kralow
on 03/01/2023, 07:29:15 UTC
I say it's very declining. when compared in 2017 and 2018 I can even easily hundreds of dollars in one project but since 2020 until now maybe even just once a year earn hundreds of dollars. But whatever it is we should be able to be grateful and continue to work.

I see a lot of bounty users and bounty managers on the forum. Many forum accounts are new, there are no high-quality posts, and they are purely for completing various bounty programs. What I want to say is that this kind of bounty activity is too watery, and there is no gold content. Regardless of whether the bounty manager makes more money, it makes me feel like this is not the place for project marketing and publicity. This is a pure content discussion platform. It is better to spend time discussing project quality and code quality. According to everyone's contribution, get the corresponding reward.

Re: What if the government of a country is irresponsible?
by
Thomas Kralow
on 29/12/2022, 01:39:44 UTC
What if the government of a country is irresponsible and issues a large amount of currency to buy Bitcoin?
I really can't imagine this happening to a country, and what are the benefits?

Printing large amounts of money will only create new problems even if they plan to invest in bitcoin. Rising inflation could be the most likely and even they will lose value from currency.

The following is just an illustration when the government prints a lot of money without control, the value of the currency is lost and someone has to carry a cart of fiat currency to buy something. Random image from google.

https://i.imgur.com/XrFp35T.png

When I see this picture, should I feel very happy, because I basically use mobile phones for all my living expenses now. If buying a piece of bread requires the money of a cart, I would like to know if the materials used to make banknotes are more expensive than this cart?

Re: Bear market likely over?
by
Thomas Kralow
on 26/12/2022, 02:01:50 UTC
I don't think it's right to say we're in a bear market right now. If we were in a bear market, the value of bitcoin would be below $10,000. After the period of decline we have experienced, we are currently in a pause period for a while. As far as I'm concerned, this period will continue in this way for a little longer. From time to time, there will be small-scale rises in the market. But I think that there are at least 1.5 years for the bull market to start exactly.
The representative reaction of a bear market is market sentiment, which is currently at an all-time low. Everyone's confidence has been severely lacking, so there is no need to say some words of encouragement. But I think this is a normal phenomenon, although the price of bitcoin has gone from 68000 to 17000 now. I have a hypothesis, if the Russo-Ukraine war continues, the world becomes more chaotic, the US is involved, and the US has always maintained a positive attitude on the Taiwan issue. Then the Russian Cuban base is restarted. Then the price of Bitcoin will be even worse, and if it happens, it is no longer a question of whether it is a bull market or a bear market.

Re: How to Generate Profit in this bear time?
by
Thomas Kralow
on 17/12/2022, 03:15:15 UTC
In many days i see in my port filo 5$ up and 5$ down , what is the best strategy to increase profit?

I think that in this case the strategy is obvious: sell at the highest possible price and buy at the lowest. At the moment when the market is flat, you either trade in the specified range or if you have a long-term position, you just need to watch the balance increase by $5 and then decrease.
Buy at a low price, hold for a long time, escape from the exchange, and choose a hardware wallet. The rest is left to time, wait slowly, wait for the arrival of the bull market, then ship in batches, and then choose the right time to re-establish positions. The most important thing is that you win when you see the profit, and keep a good attitude. Don't trust yourself: you can get rich overnight, and that's the biggest s

Re: How important are exchanges?
by
Thomas Kralow
on 16/12/2022, 07:20:30 UTC
Bitcoins can exist without exchanges, but would you support the argument that the existence of exchanges are among the factors facilitating the popularity and accessibility that people have to bitcoins?

The popularity of Bitcoin has a lot to do with centralized exchanges. Centralized exchanges do not need to understand the operating principles of Bitcoin, white papers, smart contracts and codes. The reason why I say this is that the first reason is that everyone gets in touch with Bitcoin, and the most important thing is that everyone says that trading Bitcoin can make a lot of money. The threshold of the second centralized exchange is relatively low, easy to operate, similar to the stock market, and it will never stop. The third reason is that their wish of getting rich overnight can be realized here. To sum up: Bitcoin is becoming more and more popular, and more and more people know about it.

Re: Brazil Has Approved Bill Recognizing Bitcoin As a Payment Method.
by
Thomas Kralow
on 14/12/2022, 06:04:04 UTC
Good news! But before it becomes applicable, it still needs 5o be signed by the President. Then only it will become effective in Brazil. So wait a little before the actual celebration.

Also I see that cryptocurrency is classified as an investment asset class. So Brazilians should seek further clarifications on how it will be taxed. Investment assets are usually taxed based on the gains made and also the timeframe is considered for calculating taxes. So little bit of grey area is still there. But net positive, I must say!
This is indeed exciting news. Brazil’s use of Bitcoin as a means of payment also means that the government will increase supervision in this regard to prevent criminal groups from using Bitcoin as a tool for illegal activities. For the Brazilian people, they can effectively protect their private assets. Although the volatility of Bitcoin is still relatively large, in the long run, it is undoubtedly a huge improvement in the decentralized world.

Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency.
by
Thomas Kralow
on 14/12/2022, 05:43:44 UTC
Bitcoin is a currency whether you accept it or not and it was never supposed to become the "world currency" it is supposed to be a global currency which it is.

Governments regulate the economy by issuing money,
Wrong. Governments regular the economy by setting rules and enforcing them not by printing money.

Quote
Bitcoin, on the other hand, cannot be controlled, which is why we like it, but also why governments don't like it.
It depends on the country and the government. This is not a global issue.
The key to whether Bitcoin can become a world currency does not lie in Bitcoin itself. Bitcoin relies on the underlying technology of the blockchain to operate automatically, and its characteristics of safety, reliability and decentralization are indeed unquestionable. But Bitcoin cannot be separated from society and politics. If more than 80% of the countries in the world ban Bitcoin in the future because of the increasing threat of Bitcoin to legal tender, then it will not become a world currency. This is the key factor. Now people use Bitcoin as an investment channel and tool, and the government also considers it in this way.

Re: The US Prosecutors are at it again against binance and CZ.
by

on 13/12/2022, 02:02:34 UTC
I guess this will end in a friendly investigation and unveiling of perpetrator of such crime who are certified Binance users, this does not have the we're with thought to push the price of Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency assets in the market down, and not like the FTX situation, Binance own case is different.

CZ may not be 100% pure after all cryptocurrency is trustless but in line with the operation of a centralized exchange, Binance is one of the top exchanges with strong regulatory compliance KYC procedures.
Now the most nervous one should be Binance. As a bystander, we don’t know the internal news of Binance, but judging from their positive attitude towards government supervision and the overall attitude of this FTT incident, Binance is very nervous. Binance is defending its status as the largest exchange, so it threw the FTT bomb, but it is often its most dangerous time. What the crypto world needs is not just one exchange, but coexistence.
