[policy change] extend grace periods to twelve months

Does this mean that it would be twelve months before an account was on probabtion, then another twelve months until an account was suspend and then, finally, after three years of inactivity an account would be terminated?

I wonder if that drop was in any way related to this piece of information missing from the dividend notice:

Hey 7C Stock Holders,

I am talking to Gregory Harmati about sponsoring a dividend on the 7C stock as a motion of good faith for all the investors that have bought stock and not seen a return. While the Seventh Continent is still working on financing arrangements, I am going to start helping them along by donating to the Stock their first dividend.

Since I currently provide writing and blogging in exchange for 7C shares on Havelock, I am really disappointed that there has not been a dividend, and that the movement on the stock exchange is next to nil. When I look at this picture a few things bother me:

    First:

There is no dividend and that is not something I support.

    Second:

We need to provide a dividend to form a Yield Percentage!

    Third:

No action on the Stock — we need to get things poppin!!

Screen shot 2015-03-05 at 3.10.51 PM

Since I provide web content writing the Coin Currency News site, and get paid in 7C stock, I haven’t been able to pay my bills or make ends meet, so as a means to turn the tide around, I am going to start getting this stock climbing, even if it means I have to be more frugal in my spending in other areas.

Who’s With Me?!

Thus, in the nature of good sport, I am going to sponsor a dividend of a couple Satoshi payable to 7C holders, and may continue this trend on a bi-weekly basis — so make sure to email me a thank you note for sponsoring the first dividend, as well as any story suggestions of gameplans!!!

IF you would like to support me in my mission to give back, or get in on the movement, then send your donations to:

The way CAVirtex originally communicated the shutdown is unforgivable - an email should have been sent out with a clear plan of how operation will wind down and how folks will access their funds.    The original twitter notice was quite vague and open ended, and I wouldn't be surprised if some account holders don't even know yet.

On the plus side .. CAVirtex has kept their promise and re-activated BTC withdrawals.  I was pleasantly surprised to get a phone call from CAVirtex who verified my information before re-activating BTC withdrawal.

Overall - I was impressed with CAVirtex during it's lifetime, but extremely disappointed in it's communication strategy regarding the shutdown.

------------------------
ADDENDUM: CAVirtex has since sent out an email regarding the shutdown to all it's clients.  It's 10 days late, but at least they're finally doing the right thing.

I have to agree with this.  I was shocked that I only learned of this last night when they finally sent an email out.  Call me an old geezer but I don't do twitter.

Thanks for the service while it lasted, CAVirtex.  You were one of the very few entities in the Bitcoin space that I actually trusted.

It's actually fairly ingenious for a scam.
Step 1) create a fund that does essentially nothing, but you've got a clause in there that you can buy back shares based on 30-60 (etc) day moving average, 2) pretend that you're actually doing something for a little bit, 3) cease all activity for a time greater than a multiple of 30-60 days, so that by that time most investors had dumped their coins and crashed the price, 4) magically come back and take advantage of the clause, using the IPO funds to buy back all the shares at the dirt cheap average price.

With an IPO raising BTC2,000, and a buyback of BTC900, that's not a bad haul for 11 months of doing nothing.

I was thinking much the same thing but with the added step of gaining additional "good guy" points by pointing out that the 30 day average is more like 0.0002 and then graciously offering 0.00045 instead.

Note: I'm just using very rough numbers for illustration.  I can't be bothered to actually work out what the true average is.

I think that we need an entire new way of working that fits in with the decentralised nature of Bitcoin - CIYAM Open is a vision for this (with Project Managers who pay Contributors to deliver Project Tasks and where there is no formal "job" at all).

I had read an article by a "futurist" around the same time I was learning about Bitcoin who thinks that "in the future people won't have jobs" but will contribute their skills to many different projects as small paid tasks.

That "futurist" may not have been far off the mark.  That is essentially my sole source of income and has been for the past eight years, though I tend to contribute a bit more toward the projects I work on than would be described as small, paid tasks.  However, I'm certainly not opposed to taking the small, paid tasks as well as they suit my interests.  I've found that I have more success, more freedom and just generally more satisfaction in life since I've given up the wage donkey lifestyle.  There's also the added benefit of being able to choose which jobs I do and don't want to do.  I strongly encourage anyone who is highly self-motivated to give it a try.  It can be difficult in the beginning but the potential rewards are well worth it.  What's the worst that can happen?  You fail and have to go back to having someone else tell you what to do.  In short, take risks and love what you do.

element of the letter requires that those receiving the letter stay quiet and treat it as confidential. we'll ever find so many scams negligent operators all in one place.

What element, exactly, requires the recipient to remain quiet?

To your second statement, I say you are absolutely correct.

According to the scanned document found here (http://www.scribd.com/doc/244670525/Letter-LA-Office) the only mention of confidentiality is found in the statement, "This inquiry is confidential and non-public."

Does that make it legally binding simply because a three-letter agency said it?  I wouldn't think so but I'm not well versed in US law.

I see..maybe its the right option ,thanks. But there has to be a information on amhash sites how it all works after purchase of contract, for example where we get the daily payout, or is daily payout in usd instead of btc ? maybe we will get an email after october 31 th

You appear to be right that the method of payment is not detailed, unless I missed it.  It is my assumption that the payouts would come in the form of "dividends" to your Havelock account which you could then withdraw to your own bitcoin wallet.

Be sure to note that Havelock has a withdrawal fee of 0.001 bitcoins.

The mining starts on October 31th but how long is the contract?Didnt find anything on the havelock site.Where can i enter my wallet details on the site?

You can enter your wallet address upon withdrawing your bitcoins.  There is a checkbox to remember the address but I can't recall if that locks in the address or merely remembers it for next time.

Your comment about 8 years of experience in digital currency aroused my curiosity so I did a small bit of research as you suggested.  What I learned is that you buy and sell WoW gold, among other in-game currencies and items.  That says to me that you entered into an agreement with Blizzard and willingly violated the terms of that agreement in order to make a profit.  There is even a warning on your website to your customers that using illegal gold may cause their account to be terminated so you can't deny that you know what you're doing is wrong.  Now, that's far from the worst thing a person could do but it's probably not the best example to hold up when demonstrating your integrity.

How much does AM profit from this deal anyway? For every GH sold on havelock, how much does AM get ?

I don't have the answer you seek, but for clarity, are you asking what the split between RM and AM is?

1) IPO price
Prospectus says 1.25 mBTC, while price displayed at IPO order is 1.3 mBTC. Is this a rounding error, or do you adapt the price towards $0.5?

The price is rounded to 0.0013 because of the 4 decimal places displayed.  If you look at the asset overview, you'll see that the last trade was 0.00125.

Edit: It's probably time for Havelock to add a couple of decimal places to their display.  Their own offering appears to be worth nothing.

Your post is confusing.  The way it is written, it sounds like you decided you wanted to have an IPO and so needed to come up with a business idea to sell.  This is the opposite of what should be done.  Traditionally one would have a business plan first and if additional funding was needed in order to achieve one's goals then a public offering would be one possibility to raise those additional funds.

Just peeked at the auction and the value per seat has dropped more than 50%.   Hope this is the last debt action needed to move forward to profitability as this was a pretty significant hit to the existing seat holders.

I think you may be reading that chart wrong.  It hasn't been twice the current price since early August.

@RoadStress
While I value your contrarian opinion as much as Vycid's (he saved me a lot of money) it would be downright obvious if dividends had been paid as posters would be whooping with delight or raging at Friedcat.  Your last post was nothing more than a troll.  Please refrain from poking others solely to get a reaction.

Also, please don't feed the trolls.  The only way that they get what they want is via attention.

Let the trolls live under the bridge.

Generally I would agree with you.  As you can see I am not a frequent poster and not one who is prone to rise to the bait, but in this instance I felt it couldn't hurt to politely ask RS to refrain from pure trolling.  Mostly, though, I hoped my words would prevent me from having to read three pages of counter-trolling like this:

No dividends yet RS. BTW, how is the ROI coming on those SP30s?

...but a hugely successful gen4 could also mean a return to 1btc/shares.

More than the all-time ~0.60btc/share from the good days of mining when people were spending money recklessly? How did you got the 1btc/share number? How much revenue is needed in $ or BTC for that big big dividends?

10% of the network reward is about .0063 per share weekly IIRC, which would generally support a share price around 1.0.  Cost deductions offset by higher network % and/or sales profits could put it in the 1.0 - 1.5 range  if mining works out at all like friedcat has planned.  There's a few 'if's' in there, for sure, but thats my current view.

You got it wrong. It's not about the cost of 1 share. It's about the dividends! jommothy stated that a successful gen4 chip could bring in 1BTC per share in dividends form. I would like to know how he got to that number so I can see it's not just an attempt to raise the share price.

Dude, you should reread the post you quoted.  He said a return to 1BTC/share not a return of 1BTC/share.
