Hey BTC-Arb,

Can you post an update on when we can expect the 2nd round of payments? I was hoping for something like 'Round 1: x out of n investors repaid'. I think this will help us see progress and resolve some more skepticism as it seems like your making more payments than people are posting and acknowledge they've received a payment. I don't think this would take much extra work on your end as I'm sure you have some spreadsheet tracking all this and you can just post it in your payments being made soon messages.

I think this will help with transparency and allow everyone to be patient, at least it will for me.

Just wanted to follow up and mention that I received my first partial refund today of 0.20 BTC out of the 8.0 BTC I'm owed so 2.5%. I lost the link the spreadsheet so if someone can post it again and/or put my refund amount in it would be much appreciated.

There might be some lag for the 10 payments that were sent from updating the spreadsheet. I got a message yesterday when he announced the payments saying that he would send it within 72 hours. So 24 hours down, 48 hours to go. I'll double back and confirm/update the spreadsheet once I receive the payment.

One thing I don't completely understand about the web site hacking is: Even if the web site is hacked, it's just a visual representation of what profits are being made. Most if not all the money would have to be in exchanges. I don't recall reading or hearing about multiple exchanges being hacked. I could be naive in how the whole process worked, but it just seems like in order to do arbitrage you would need multiple accounts in multiple exchanges and money in all of them, not sitting on a web sever.

He claims that the hackers changed the deposit address on the website so people transferred directly to the hackers instead of Btc-arbs addresses, furthermore he claims that some user accounts were compromised and they requested a withdrawal to their addresses.

If I remember correctly, when depositing to the Btc-Arbs website, you had to go back to the website after making the transfer from your wallet and click a button that essentially confirmed that the transfer was initiated. So then if the change in deposit address claim is true, he should have realized very quickly that people were confirming that transfers were being created but no actually BTC was coming in. Also, the requested withdrawal issue should've been discovered very quickly as well since if they withdrawal were paid out to whoever "hacked" the website, the balance shown in the account would've changed and the individual whose account it really was would notice that pretty quickly and no doubt reach out to the admin to find out what is going on. In either scenario, I think the issue, if true, would've been discovered/pointed out very quickly greatly limiting the damage in terms of lost BTC compared to what the situation seems to currently be.

Others have also questioned the claims on here and I also agree that it just does not seems to line up so my only conclusion is that he might have more BTC than he is letting on, trying to make people whole from the arbitrage profit while keeping the principal amount at the end, which is pretty sizable according to the spreadsheet. And clearly had no desire to return the BTC prior to his identity being 'discovered'.

I wonder if criticism on this forum is another one of the criteria that pushes you to the back of the payout list.....

Has he mentioned how many BTC he actually has left over which are being used for arbitrage currently? As he slowly pays down some of these "lucky"* investors, he will reach a point where his trading balance covers all outstanding liabilities at which time that should be paid out in bulk rather than continued arbitrage profits. I think everybody would agree that he does not deserve to have an proceeds left over for himself at the end after the multiple lies of "Ron James" and subsequently vanishing altogether.

*I say lucky investors only because his payout patterns is by and large totally random even with that methodology he posted earlier.

Also, for FreeJack, just wondering how many days your in after your initial "20-40 days" payback period promise.

I haven't seen a penny yet.

It would be nice to know what your logic is on who gets paid back when..... Also, question of the day -- was your name really Adam?

I too would like to know exactly how the logic works as well. Initially I was afraid he would just pay back those that had traced out his real info and vanish again but I'm pretty comfortable thinking that whoever does have the info will share it if that does happen and some of us are still left off these truly random repayments..

I stopped checking this a bit back figuring we were SOL of ever getting those BTC back. Pleasantly surprised to see that there was some developments but seem rather unfair that he/she will not be reimbursing those that originally committed funds but might not check this thread as they would not know to send their info.

Anyways, I sent my info yesterday through a PM and still haven't seen a penny. I probably had one of the medium sized accounts (8 BTC deposited, up to 11BTC+) so it is a relatively sizable sum, hope I at least get the original 8 BTC back. I asked for a simple confirmation that he/she saw my PM at the end of the PM, didn't get that either yet.

Just waiting now........
