Perhaps you made a mistake when editing this file. You have to respect json's text formatting and be sure to not introduce unwanted invisible characters, such as windows style cr/lf end of line, perhaps there is an extra or missing , etc, pay close attention.

Also make sure to be using normal bos from June, not the testing versions.

If possible check again connecting the fans and reverting the changes in cgminer.conf (just let them spin outside the tank) to make sure the problem lies there and not elsewhere.

That is a likely possibility... also thinking maybe the boards are fried. I'm right by the ocean and some days during summer can be quite humid hence why the move to immersion. I have gone about connecting the fans again and letting it spin up and only after it runs fine edit the code. So far 2 are running nicely now without any fans.

Thanks for the assist and yes, waiting patiently for bos.

Hi all,

Hoping someone can help. Recently built and immersion cooling tank but now can't figure out how to disable fans completely.

I found some info that editing cgminer.conf and inserting "min-fans":"0" will bypass the check, which it does but then looking at the kernel log, there is now a new error.

Whilst trying to set PIC on the chains, it seems to hang there for a bit and after some time, cgminer logs an error code "no chains enabled".

This is the first I've come across this before and the miner worked prior to editing the conf and removing the fans so can only assume that this has somewhat broken the miner software.

Has anyone got this working successfully and wouldn't mind giving a step by step.

Thank you.

Latest firmware working flawlessly. One thing I can't seem to find is the current fan speed or the ability to set it.

Am I just blind or is it not an option right now.

So going through all the miners one by one, checking them before moving on, I have now stopped at one machine which I can only assume has a temperature reading bug because all chains are set to 550Mhz and temps on all chains are reading abnormally high whereas on the BM firmware at 625Mhz they were around 77C

Umm it doesnt brick anything by changing the control file to the s9 from s9i. Thats exactly what I did and I have it running on multiple early batch S9s without an issue.

Well you may be lucky in that case. After flashing mine there was no IP access. No DHCP was assigned and also did an ip scan and did not find an ip i couldn't account for in the leases

Its only compatible with Antminer S9i right now, someone said there was a file you can edit somewhere in the thread to get it to write to a regular S9 (i think ?)

Yeah you can edit the control file located in the firmware folder. The item is on line 1: FW_MINER_HWVER="Antminer S9i". Got a spare control board lying around so gonna test the edit

EDIT: So yeah, don't edit the file. Chances are it will brick the vanilla s9. Can't understand why it does that if using the SD card works but oh well.

Anyone able to solve the below error whilst trying to flash.

I'm assuming it thinks the machine is the newer S9's

Code:
Uploading firmware...
firmware/CONTROL: |################################| 1360/1360
firmware/uboot_env.bin: |################################| 131072/131072
firmware/uboot_env.config: |################################| 382/382
firmware/stage1.sh: |################################| 3018/3018
firmware/stage2.tgz: |################################| 17840065/17840065
firmware/fit.itb: |################################| 7134088/7134088
firmware/system.bit.gz: |################################| 381877/381877
firmware/boot.bin: |################################| 79647/79647
firmware/u-boot.img: |################################| 573700/573700
Upgrading firmware...
Unsupported miner version: Antminer S9

Edit: I see the CONTROL file refers to HWVER S9i so obviously the standard S9 is unsupported in this case. Is there a vanilla S9 supported firmware?

Coin is slowly making an upwards movement on the trading, still very cheap to get in on it.

Coupled with new announcements buzzing on the discord channel, this coin certainly looks like it's primed for success.

Just to throw my 2c in here.

Decided, to ask also ask questions about the coin in their discord... haven't been banned / kicked but zero response and no one else seems to know the answer either. Only piece of info I can find is it will be a decentralized payment platform for beauty services but how this competes against big players I don't know and honestly doesn't even seem relevant.

Few things I picked up in the discord that seems a bit odd:
 - Team is not very active with last post 10hrs ago
 - Users posting increasing rewards in a short period ( 15:55GMT+2 , reward increased from 31 to 35. 22:56GMT+2 reward increased to 47.5 )

Some spelling errors on the website, which albeit small but quite important imho.

Finally a 25000% ROI... honestly can't see that being very sustainable.

My recommendation would be to be very cautious of this one. Rather wait it out a few weeks to see where the price settles because at almost $1, it's over priced.

Colleagues. I did not understand anything about the project. Where is the technical documentation? It is important for investors to see the information from white paper, and also to get acquainted with the team. How many projects are on this forum, when when the money is collected and after that the project is closed. I would like to have more confidence.

The Team is aware of the importance of the white paper. Currently their main focus is the swap so that previous fix investors can get on the new platform. Once that is done I am sure the white paper will follow shortly after. I do believe it's in their road map on the website.

From my understanding of the project, it will act as a gateway to a multitude of other platforms that use their own token. You can swap and exchange REL/Token without any tx/exchange fees, using that token for the platform you selected and visa versa.

Personally I hope this gets some good traction for the sake of all the previously disadvantaged FIX investors.
