You can compare it to a creditcard payment, the transaction takes places almost instantly.

With a creditcard sweeping your card only confirms you have the funds to pay, but the actual payment is done days later and can be charged back up to 90 days.

If you're trading for a lot of money waiting for a couple confirmations is in fact really short comparing it to other payment methods.

That's not exactly comparing like with like.  The credit/debit card system is designed to operate this way.

A better comparison is a bank transfer which, here in the uk, usually only takes a minute or so.

no one here cares about centralized unmineable ripple.

I'd say people on here seem to care quite a lot about ripple.  Not mostly supporters of it, but care enough about it to comment as you have done.

Many journalists have been lately saying that, but it seems they never cared to check fiat currencies.

The concept is absolutely the same.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Currency_appreciation_and_depreciation

Anyone who read newspaper everyday, is probably sick of reading headlines like " appreciated with the entry of $? usd dollars in the country. Investors are optmistic."(purchase of local currency) or the other way around " devalued with the escape of $? usd dollars from the country. Investors in panick. " ( selling of local currency )

It is the same for gold etc. Before someone says that, gold has an actual use, but bitcoins too.

I think you're confused about what a ponzi scheme is.

What is 1CASHcoin worth based on other coin average mining rate.

17.65 x 60 x 24 = 25416 CASHcoins per day

Hashrate : 612000Kh/s

1000Kh:  41 CASHcoins per day

1000Kh around $12 (based on other coins) or 0.015BTC

1CASH = 0.015BTC / 41CASHCoins = 0.00036585BTC

This is all very odd.  The author proposes a really good, novel idea.  Why would you use a proper idea to scam people, when any old thing would do?  If you have the idea you may as well do it properly. Yet it really seems to me that something isn't right here.

Re: BTC-E Thieves?

Yes, they do what is called "selective" scamming. Happened to be awhile back for over BTC2.5~

Unfortunately when 90% of the customers do not get scammed like the other 10% its very hard to convince everyone they are ALL at risk!

That's messed up. What do the ''selectively scammed'' people do, just take it?

Selective scammers ca be anyone, Even a trusted member of this community, Once that member has enough reputation, The can start to scam one person then later maybe a few month they scam another person, You have to be careful here, as you try to convince someone they wont believe you like they're ghosts or something...

I don't see the motivation for BTC-e to selectively scam.  They have a successful trading platform and therefore have a secure income from the fees.  Why would they risk that?

It would be pretty sweet if more levels are added in the future.

What function do you propose for another level?
