Re: Consensus on Colors
by

the OP is talking about colour. not conformating of teaching your self someting is something else

means
someone reading this physically sees it as the same range as blood.. traffic stop lights

but some people see it as grey(colour blind)
this is because their eye cant tell the light frequency of the red spectrum so just throws it into the monochrome spectrum

however the colours are not randomly picked as you grow to associate tomato/blood/traffic stops with the english word red.

its actually your brain knowing the frequency wavelengths of light

its not that a red wavelength refracts in the eye to change colour (to a totally different wave length).
a strawberry emit the same frequency to everyone (unless colourblind) and everyone brain knows its the same frequency they all get

as for assigning a colour to that frequency
this is not some pot luck brain trick of randomly taging a shade to a frequency.

because the frequency has minor alterations
https://static.sciencelearn.org.nz/images/images/000/000/037/embed/LIS_SCI_ART_02_Colours_of_light_visible_spectrum_waves_v3.jpg?1589331445
because if you picked randomly that
400nm was what we deem yellow
425nm was what we deem blue

then because theres no increment of green inbetween. we would see a weird sudden colour swap of yellow-blue rather than a nice progression of violet to indego
imagine instead of a steady smooth transition it was instead
||||||

looks ugly.. no pattern. no reference of it being linked to any close nearby shade

so knowing when you are seeing strawberry red.. you and everyone else is seeing its near the orange and pink family but no where near the blue family of frequency

..
next is the false theory that people have different assigned spectrum start-end 'colors'
EG
VBGYOR
BGYORV
GYORVB
YORVBG
ORVBGY
RVBGYO
but this is not the case.
each shade goes from darkest at the edges to clear/brightest at the centre
so white/yellow will always be the centre
yep whatis the sun.. and pure blinding light.. is the center colour. and yes its white/yellow

which can then only leave 2 options of formating the brains colour spectrum
VBGYOR
ROYGBV

black dark forms at both the ends of the spectrum
but knowing a dark purple/blue sky is at one side and dark red at the other.

your brain knows that purple is at the lower bands and reds at the higher bands of the nm wavelegth
so the order is
VBGYOR

it definetly wont start with yellow and end with blue and red beside each other at the other end

people can actually say orange in 1 direction turns to yellow and in other direction turns to red. when presented with known wavelengths.
and they all see their vision no longer able to see whats beyond the red spectrum(infrared). so they know red is the final shade. then going backward. they know that violet is the first colour they see when coming from ultraviolet(375) to the visible violet spectrum of 400nm

This is awesome

There is no way of telling whether people perceive colors the same way you do.

On a related note, you'd be interested in the Asch Conformity Experiment. It showed that people adjust their perception to fall in line with what others say.
Didn't VSauce do a video about this a long time ago? I remember it being interesting and he seemed to suggest that there was a way of proving this...

Should not the team updating the thread with latest information regarding airdrop, supported exchange, latest event that is about to happen?
the shared link about the airdrop on the thread was created last year.
a lot of missing information in here, please kindly update the thread if it is possible because not everybody can join Discord.

I'll mention this in the discord channel. I think at the min they've been so busy it's probably just an oversight.

Re: XRP Could Hit $1 This Year

I think XRP is going through a crisis of confidence from its holders, because of the recent SEC lawsuit, and that problem is destroying XRP's power, and I don't expect much if XRP will hit $ 1 this year, if its case with the SEC is not resolved then the chances of going back to  the highest level will close ,,,,
Even if the SEC thing is resolved the damage may have already been done.

Seems unlikely it will move from .45 the lawsuit could have done irreperable damage. Even if theyre aquitted of all charges. Accusations always linger and its rep may be forever tarnished

Im wondering, is there 6 airdrops or 6 snapshots and 1 airdrop?

There has just been some information on the discord channel suggesting there will be 6 snapshots then 1 airdrop, hope this helps

yeh I'm seeing confusion too but I think that this way is the only way thay makes sense imo.
Im glad to see this is the way 6 shots and 1 drop!

Re: Why not "COVID" vaccine passports on a blockchain ID

blockchain technology has indeed become a modern technology and will be very useful to be used as a main ledger without fear of losing any data entered. However for some reason some countries are still not using it. There is still no mass adoption of the real use of blockchain. The application of the Vacsin Passport is a pretty good innovation, but not everyone is familiar with blockchain technology and it certainly looks unfamiliar.

blockchain innovation in medicine has been around for a few years, but its real application has yet to be realized, only a beta project that is not developing.

I think we all underestimate just how early days these are in the terms of Blockchain, I imagine in 5 years we will all look back and think, how did we get by without this.

Its great to see support from exchanges, hopefully the rest follow suit.

I hope the team decides to block the airdrop to Exchange wallets that dont participate! It's a bit of a flex and show of strength but I think the community would agree that it's unfair for exchanges to benefit from airdrops.
There was mention of this in the Discord channel last week with Mike T suggesting this would be the case

I thought about this, you could retain anonimity whilst also proving youve had the vaccine! obviouslt being Anon doesnt matter at airports but at bars and such this could help

you are right, unfortunately speculation is still the only factor why people approach new projects.
Graphene has all the credentials to be a turning point and reference point for the use of smart contracts, its high scalability opens up infinite possibilities of use that we still cannot imagine today.

I can't wait for the end of the month, the news of the airdrop should make people's ears prick a little. It's a big stepping stone towards the future of the project.

This is confirmed now, I saw it in the discord. More info at the end of the month. Cant wait!

Re: The fate of privacy cryptocurrencies
by
TommyGunnn
on 09/01/2021, 21:07:46 UTC
My take on this, is before they will be phased out if ever they will, it will take long before such scenario will happen.
There are few jurisdictions that may be strict towards these privacy coins.
However, if the crypto exchange is registered in a country or place where the regulations in crypto are not that strict, they can still enjoy their presence.
There are purposes why a lot of crypto users like the use of privacy coins, and I don't think these coins will be gone very soon.
They existed for so long already, and they may find a way how to go around these government regulations.

The combination of DEX and privacy coins will make them hard to combat. I think regulators are going to have to do their best to get onboard with crypto sooner than later if they want to steer the ship in certain ways.

XRP at $1 – XRP’s Bullish Trend to Begin
Ripple, a platform that aims to provide seamless, hassle-free, and low-cost cross border payments, has recorded its growth on many blockchain entities. The native token of Ripple, XRP is also expected to have a bull run with a price possibly touching $1.

XRP gains 7% against USD
Digital asset XRP has taken the crypto market by storm. With an impressive 7.40% increase in the last 24 hours, XRP is currently trading at $0.483125.

The Altcoin is holding the Market capital of $21,899,173,284 with $16,252,703,967 trading volume.

It seems that the OP's desire for XRP was not fulfilled immediately and did not succeed with the desired achievement, it seems that XRP is experiencing many internal problems that must be addressed first to be able to reach higher levels because this clearly makes investors doubt. You can be sure that XRP is a good coin, but if there are many problems, there will be disturbances to increase.
The question is do it's positives outweigh the craziness of whats happening right now?
I would be super worried about having too much tied up in this coin.
I also worry that the coin is being kept afloat by fanatics that jumped on the hype train a long time ago and almost need it too succeed.

When the dates for the snapshots are announced, that will boost the price.

Having been on the discord server a few days, and with the release of the new wallet update. I'd speculate we'll be getting more information sooner rather than later.

It seems that all the negative aspects of XRP are exactly what are causing trouble for it.
Any time youre on the SEC radar that really cant be good news. I hear that it is not considered a security in other countries but surely USA is just too big and such while ever this hangs over XRP/ripples head the coin will struggle

Currently there is still no news from Ripple, and if you look at chart, Ripple is able to survive in the support,
and there are still many people who hold ripple and even buy it in this situation, for $ 1 honestly I still can't determine it.
I think a lot of things would need to be resloved and on top of that a lot of things would need to go right for this to happen now. However XRP has a strong commited following and has surprised me in the past so I won't write it off just yet.
