Yes. Bitcoin is very secure, and almost not possible to hack. Although there have been hackings going on by altcoin, Bitcoin is not a victim Smiley

What worked for me: begin with Coinbase as exchange. After your self-confidence is higher, you can start trading with Gdax, Coinbase's brother; simple to use and no fees at all

It is hard to say, Atm all the cryptocurrencies are green, and Bitcoin will defenitely hit 10k in no time. The question is if it'll maintain this position. If I was you I would take the risk, but who am I... Smiley
