Easy Install of the BTCD-Web-Wallet for InstantDEX testing.  Be sure to completely unlock your wallet (do not check the box for staking only)

BitcoinDark integrates InstantDEX - decentralised trading engine*

The BitcoinDark platform has integrated InstantDEX (iDEX), allowing decentralised trading from a range
of sources within the client. The current iDEX-enabled wallet is a beta release intended for testing by
the community. Feedback and support can be found on the BTCD bitcointalk forum and on the BTCD SuperNET
Slack channel.

InstantDEX has been in development for over a year, and this is the first time a working version has
been released for public use. InstantDEX is decentralised trading middleware: a piece of software that
sits between users and exchanges, allowing composite orderbooks to be built up from a number of sources,
including traditional centralised exchanges such as Poloniex and Bittrex, the distributed Multigateway,
and other decentralised options such as Nxt’s Asset Exchange. Trades are negotiated directly between
peers in near-realtime. Nominal flat fees are charged (rather than a percentage of the trade), depending
on the transaction fees and the source of liquidity.

Integration of InstantDEX is a core element of BitcoinDark’s strategy to recover cryptocurrency’s ideals
of decentralisation, allowing any user to trade with minimum risk from centralised exchanges and no
requirements for KYC.

WTF, Who is deleted my last post?  Huh Huh Huh  It was just a greeting message for html wallet!!!

This is not a moderated thread. I had a post deleted before, check your pms?
Hi Matthew,
I know that this thread is not moderated thread.  Wink  It's so strange to me, because I did not get any message about it

I've been getting deleted posts from a variety of threads, ASICHEAD. Had one deleted the other day that I posted months ago Sad

Supposedly they were deleted for being off-topic, but I feel like they're stretching it a little

Hey guys, I don't believe any of the BTCD team are deleting your posts. It seems strange for that to happen. Wonder if its the BTCT admins playing around again like they did for crackers post when they thought he was advertising in this thread, something we had no problem with him doing in the first place.

BTCD html client v0 launches – v1 to follow

The ‘vanilla’ v0 version of the BTCD html client has been released. V0 is a very basic, easy-to-use web browser client, which will act as a template for further functionality. This will be progressively added to upcoming versions, as and when the technology is ready and has been tested.
The primary aim of v0 was to create a UX that was as straightforward and accessible as possible, whilst allowing BTCD’s more complex technology to be added without detracting from that simplicity. The one-click Windows installer is key to getting started quickly, whilst the browser-based client allows for an elegant and powerful GUI. The BTCD community can get used to the new interface whilst reporting any bugs and suggestion further features to include in the next iteration.

InstantDEX
The first major new feature to be added in v1 will be InstantDEX, the near-realtime peer-to-peer crypto exchange that will underpin SuperNET and form a core part of its revenue generation. Since InstantDEX (iDEX) is built on BTCD, it makes sense to include it in the BTCD client first, and the functionality road-tested by the first users. InstantDEX is an ambitious and much-needed application and has the potential to attract large number of new users who are wary of using centralised exchanges.

Jay Nxt framework integration
Although SuperNET is built on BTCD, iDEX does not rely on BTCD alone. It also uses the Nxt blockchain for a number of purposes, including collecting fees (which will be paid as dividends to holders of the InstantDEX asset, 24% of which is owned by SuperNET and will form one of its first revenue sources). Downloading the full Nxt blockchain is brings additional and unnecessary storage and bandwidth costs, but Nxt’s 2.0 functionality will be important for other elements of BTCD in the future, including it’s anon tech, Teleport.

The solution is to integrate the Jay framework into the wallet. This provides a ‘lite’ way to query the Nxt blockchain without downloading it, allowing developers to do anything the full client can do without the extra overhead. This should also provide further cross-over appeal to the Nxt community, since the BTCD wallet will be able to handle NXT balances as well as BTCD operations.

Please download the new client from http://bitcoindark.pw/download/ , use it and send us your feedback so that we can include any changes in subsequent versions. Feedback can be left in the Slack #btcd channel. Please remember that this is a raw Beta version of the client and that the main purpose is for testing.

A link to the wallet release can also be found on the BitcoinDark homepage:http://bitcoindark.pw/

MMBTCD Dividends have been sent out for this week.

https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=9144.msg189158#msg189158

A reminder: This weeks BTCD staker dividends will be sent next Wednesday as well as the coming weeks dividends.

BitcoinDark Weekly Dividends to Stakers

News : I'll be away next Wednesday so Stakers will receive 2 payments (one for each week) on the 29th.

BitcoinDark is the only coin that pays Stakers dividends for staking and it continues to have a positive effect on network strength.
Please remember to have your wallets running and unlocked for staking in order to successfully stake blocks.

BitcoinDark Bulletin this week: InstantDEX and anonymity
http://bitcoindark.pw/instantdex-and-anonymity/

With InstantDEX in testing, people have been asking how anonymisation of coins will occur. (Side note: InstantDEX needs as many testers as possible. There are bounties available for finding bugs – ask on Slack for details if you can help.)

BitcoinDark, of course, will have its own built-in anonymity. Broadly speaking, Teleport provides on-blockchain anonymity, and Telepathy provides the off-blockchain privacy. (Note the choice of words: on the blockchain, everyone can see what is going on; just not who is doing it. Off-blockchain communication will be private, since Telepathy prevents anyone from knowing even who is communicating with whom.) But how will other coins leverage this?

It’s probably best to use an example of how this will work in practice. There are various methods; this is one. I have 1 BTC that I want to anonymise. I use it to purchase a given number of BitcoinDark telepods. Due to the nature of BitcoinDark, I gain control of these but no one knows that they are now in my possession. I can keep them for as long as I want before spending them, or trading them back into BTC or another currency. If I want to be extra safe, I will use Boolberry or another anon coin as the ‘off ramp’ to obscure the point at which funds come back into sight. (The same method can be used to obscure my initial purchase of BitcoinDark, too.) Using tradebots to make a series of transactions over a period of time not only allows me to achieve the price I want, but also to make it even harder to trace what is going on.

Remember that the BitcoinDark telepods can only ever be traced back to the account from which they were issued. On the blockchain, when they are transferred to a new owner, it simply looks like they have been swept to a new address that has never been used before. They could change hands hundreds or thousands of times, and it would never be clear whether the same person held them and was moving them around, or whether there were multiple owners. In reality, it’s likely that many telepods will just stay in this anon form, circulating indefinitely, and will never be ‘cashed out’ by sending them to an address that has been used before.

The security of an old telepod that has been used over and over raises the possibility that these might trade at a premium over newer telepods or regular, non-anon BitcoinDark coins. If there’s a genuine benefit to that, the market will reach its own conclusions.
