Re: Why Are So Many Altcoins Worthless After a Little Time
by
Towerbreeze
on 21/11/2020, 07:31:34 UTC
New projects like copying contents from successful projects, creating many new competitors against a successful project with same use case, for example we have Chainlink that's using Oracle data and now there are many new chainlink wannabes in crypto space, coming up with something new or bit better to challenge chainlink, this isn't what we investors need, we want something fresh and new out of the box

Re: DEX must take over
by
Towerbreeze
on 21/11/2020, 07:29:22 UTC
If future dex platforms can do the following I will gladly switch completely from centralized exchanges to dex exchanges for good

1. Make dex platform more easier to operate, the dashboards of many dex are so complicated to understand, newbies can easily rum off from the platform because of this.

2. Volume issue is why I don't do trading on dex exchanges, Centralised exchanges are ruling big time over dex because of enough liquidity and volumes

70% of crypto exchanges allow trading and withdrawal without any verifications, you just have to do research on them is all, here are few ones I used with no KYC needed ..

1. Binance exchange
2. Probit
3. Shapeshift
4. Bithumb
5. Huobi
6. Okex
7. Hoo exchange

Re: Scammers are using the name of Airdrop to take the wallet's private key.
by

I hardly come across scam Airdrops because I do research before signing up for any airdrop campaigns, majority don't do this today, they blindly join anything that is willing to give them something in return, there are legit airdrop source online but people don't do research anymore

Re: The bounty scam will gradually go away
by

Your job is to avoid scammers by doing research, stop hoping for scammers to go away themselves, if that happens it means that crypto is dead, for wherever there is success and profits scammers will always be available to take advantage

Re: New feature on AltcoinsTalks forum - you can teleport your rank from bitcointalk

This shouldn't be against bitcointalk rules I guess but how about security? I believe that using same information as on Bitcointalk for other websites isn't safe to be honest, details should be different because data can be breached in any ways

Re: Is DeFi really a threat to centralized finance?
by
Towerbreeze
on 18/11/2020, 06:38:51 UTC
Once upon a time DeFi aren't a thing, they exist but no one really understand their use case and CeFi was a big thing then, I believe once people start understanding how important decentralized is for crypto user compared to centralized projects they start going for DeFi projects, that's when DeFi Hypes begins, my answer is one can't become a threat to the other, some will still find reason to stick with centralized finance over DeFi

Re: Be aware of a possible new exchange SCAM - I need your opinion
by
Towerbreeze
on 18/11/2020, 06:36:08 UTC
Good afternoon,

I would really appreciate your advice on something as I believe that I was a victim of scam yesterday but I am not 100% sure.

I was told by someone that I know the last month and never met in person about an investment opportunity. Before you tell me that I am an idiot, how I was involved with this person and the reason that I trusted her is another discussion.

The coin is named VOT (Valid Order Chain) and is listed in an exchange that is called www.kolomine.com. I searched online if this exchange is a scam and I could not find any advere media. I then sent my whole bankroll 0.5 BTC and I bought VOT. Invite Code and account authentication were also needed which made the possible scam more real.

However, today I noticed the following, I can not sell the VOT coins that I bought and according to that person the ico needs to be ended in order for me to be able to sell. I could not find any ico details online. The service email has a gmail domain. There are only four wallets available (BTC, ETH, USDT and VOT) but the website operates with 23 coins for trade. When you press buy you go to another page where the following info are available.

VOT ERC20 Token Address:0x3d7afa0322f6dd2e28c16271d74e5aa22f968b48

Total Supply: 100,000,000  VOT

Total subscription: 70,000,000  VOT

Private placement price: 0.046 USDT

Subscription Time: 90 days

The Token Address belongs to VOT but there are no transactions available. The white paper is also available but I was not able to find any of the founders in the Linkedin and their names seem to be ordinary.

I am 99% sure that I was victim of a scam and I just remembered the reason that I stopped dealing with all crypto sh*t 3 years ago.

Please tell me your opinion on this.

Thank you

Not recognized, stay away from any new exchange that's not well known by traders in crypto space, they can be scam exchanges like this one, once you make deposits you won't be able to withdraw, same goes to any altcoins that listed on such exchanges, there might be some kind of connection between the scam exchange and the scam token too

Re: Pain of bounty hunters
by
Towerbreeze
on 17/11/2020, 06:56:22 UTC
blamed bounty hunters for the dumping of any coins is not reasonable for me
because not all bounty hunters will dump their rewards as soon as possible when the tokens tradeable on exchange
sometimes, the project didn't have enough demands to push the price up and make the price down because more sellers than buyers
Smart hunters won't hesitate to dump their tokens because most bounty projects are not reliable but when they promote quality projects they will want to hold, for example DiA project, some bounty hunters are still holding their tokens because the project isn't a joke

Re: After ICO, market has IEO. After DeFi, market has CyberFi. Be cautious!
by
Towerbreeze
on 17/11/2020, 06:54:33 UTC
What's there to be cautious about? Crypto space is opened for new ideas and they are welcome at any time, we only need to figure out which project team are serious about what they introduced, ICO, IEO, DEFI all have high quality projects backing them up so new ideas are highly welcome.

by
Towerbreeze

New ideas will always be born in crypto space that's why we will never run out of new projects, they will always exist  and now many new projects are introducing faster smart contract too, those who are going to take advantage are developers looking for easier platforms to build their projects, new projects will always come

Re: How to start a donational fund for the Philippines people?
by
Towerbreeze
on 14/11/2020, 08:00:21 UTC
why would the people of philippines need funds? is there any thing happening to the country presently? oh i get it now, the was a big bass ass typhoon attack that took the life of many, homes and properties are destroyed in the process but we need an official link if we are to distribute some funds to help those people, this can be an advantage to wicked people or scammers pretending to help this people just for the fund, i need more prove
Super typhoon after typhoon. That's what happened.

Typhoon Vamco hits the Philippines – in pictures

Manila paralysed after Typhoon Vamco sweeps across Philippines

You only have to choose those charities and funds that are truly giving it to the needy. The charities above given are legit.

The process may look like this
- Create Coins.Ph account
- Deposit BTC
- Donate BTC
- Coins.Ph converts BTC to Philippine Peso then deposit to the charity account
These are charities listed on them.

https://coins.ph/donate-to-charity/
Now this is more clearer and cleaner than what OP provided, since it's from coins.ph I believe it, I will gladly do what I can before this month runs out and I hope that others won't hesitate to help their brothers and sisters in need

Altcoin season is coming, if you send those shitcoins away you will regret, I could remember that many shitcoins became profitable in 2017 when altcoins start surging so hold your shitcoins or download a new wallet for stepping shitcoins only

Re: How do i convert bitcoin into usd cash?
by
Towerbreeze
on 13/11/2020, 07:37:51 UTC
i dont have a bank account or could show an i.d

and my mom thinks im dumb for owning "digital currency"

i just need to convert a couple hundred into cash so i can have the $ in my hand for proof

can anyone show me any methods?

has anyone one found a random seller on ebay selling $100 dollar bills, for like $120 for no apparent reason

i could how so ever buy ebay gift cards with it if someone was selling such item
You don't have a bank account ? How will you get the physical dollars then? Is there any bitcoin ATM in your vicinity? I doubt that, if No then to don't have a choice unless you want to use the dollar online? You can use paxful to change bitcoin into gift cards or find other platforms like paxful online like coin cards.com, goodluck

Re: Tips to overcome fear crypto investment and reason to invest for newbies
by
Towerbreeze
on 12/11/2020, 07:43:52 UTC
Honestly we can't do without FOMO and greed in crypto space, if you are been greedy on promising project you will get positive results, if you are been greedy on pump and dump projects you will surely get the end result too, to me it's all about quality projects, FOMO on top quality projects you will still end up with good profits

Re: ICO, IEO, IDO, STO which best?
by
Towerbreeze
on 12/11/2020, 07:40:09 UTC
No past experience about IDO and infact I'm just hearing this for the first time, till date IEO is still way more safer and reliable than other crowdfunding out in crypto space, if you can stick with top exchanges IEO projects you will keep making more profits

Re: New projects can still deliver
by
Towerbreeze
on 11/11/2020, 06:17:10 UTC
Of course new projects are still very promising but it's getting too hard to find the rare gems among the bad projects, it's like looking for a needle in the ocean, sometimes even promising projects failed, the best advice is always use diversification on so called promising projects and invest only what you can afford to lose, thanks for the nice post OP

Re: when is the right time to buy cryptocurrency?
by
Towerbreeze
on 11/11/2020, 06:13:54 UTC
If the project is very promising like Polkadot, Chainlink or Avalanche it's better to get in when ICO or IEO is happening or whatever crowdfunding strategy the team are using, and if it's too late to join wait till bears attack the market and buy the dips.

Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"?
by
Towerbreeze

HODL was my main target when I entered this crypto thing, I was so addicted to holding any coins and tokens I buy or earned, today my portfolio is in 99% loss so where has HODL got me? nowhere, I've learned to keep taking profits when they are available no matter what.

Re: A project to help make Ethereum the number one cryptocurrency.
by
Towerbreeze
on 10/11/2020, 06:27:44 UTC
Ethereum don't need help from a project to become the number one cryptocurrency today, right from day one Ethereum have been doing what it was meant to do, it's the king of all altcoins and smart contract Platforms, ethereum is too strong and that's why many new smart contract projects can't over thrown ethereum today.
