Good to see it back up!

I'm trying to change my password, but it's confusing because whenever I log in, make changes, etc., I just get a completely blank page, so it's hard to know if it was even successful. Does this happen to anyone else or is it just my browser?

why is the diff so high in version 13.1?

9k is a little bit high isn't it?

I don't get any shares. What can I do?

I think it has to do with the new “dust payout” elimination feature. It raises the difficulty enough to minimize transaction fees when spending mined coins. It appears you may be able to reduce the share difficulty again by adding “+n” to the miner username, where n is the desired share difficulty. However, you may incur heavy transaction fees in the future when you go to spend the mined coins.

Maybe someone can confirm this for sure. I've been finding it difficult to find detailed p2pool documentation lately for some reason.

After hearing about the hard fork and upgrading to 13.1 via git pull, my litecoin p2pool instance has been showing insanely high share difficulties of around 16 days expected time per share (pool rate reads around 700 MH/s). So I haven't gotten any LTC shares or payouts since July 4. I thought maybe this had to do with the fork before most clients have upgraded, but the difficulty has not noticeably decreased at all in the last couple of weeks. Meanwhile, my BTC p2pool instance behaves normally. Ideas what's going on here?

My only complaint about the alerts in the Qt client (which applies to bitcoin-qt as well, BTW) is: why the hell does it tell me to visit a URL without making said URL clickable, or even so much as being copy-pastable?! I'll be damned if I'm going to manually type a URL into a browser in the 21st century  Grin

That's okay since I don't plan to use 1Q68UdKBYgBVy7h4gAAXcipaoBPeoJZrXQ anymore and haven't for more than a week (that amount due is probably just from PPLNS carryover or whatever). I'll just use 1yrraLgmRZ1fbgtz2BSVXcWVrJnH785QZ from now on.

You're welcome. Smiley One last thing—I haven't received anything on the 1yrraL address yet (the blockchain only shows a single .01 BTC transaction that I sent to myself for testing purposes), just the .12807 mBTC on 1Q68UdKBYgBVy7h4gAAXcipaoBPeoJZrXQ. Was this supposed to have been sent out already, or is it scheduled for the next payout cycle?

I'm going to say the timestamps sound about right. So it looks like I started mining only just before that last block was hit—for the four previous blocks I was on p2pool and already got paid for those. I didn't realize that.

So based on that, the payout listed for 1yrraLgmRZ1fbgtz2BSVXcWVrJnH785QZ sounds like it's probably reasonable.

Okay, it turns out I was mining with two different addresses. .00012807 was received via 1Q68UdKBYgBVy7h4gAAXcipaoBPeoJZrXQ—I was mining with this address for a very short period at the very beginning (no more than a few hours). Then I switched to 1yrraLgmRZ1fbgtz2BSVXcWVrJnH785QZ and used that one for the remainder of the entire period.

So I got the payment via 1Q68UdKBYgBVy7h4gAAXcipaoBPeoJZrXQ, but not for 1yrraLgmRZ1fbgtz2BSVXcWVrJnH785QZ.

Hmm, I'm actually 1yrraLgmRZ1fbgtz2BSVXcWVrJnH785QZ—I received exactly .00012807 BTC on this address.
And indeed, I was mining during the entire last several days, as far as I know.

Edit: I just checked, and it turns out I very briefly mined using 1Q68UdKBYgBVy7h4gAAXcipaoBPeoJZrXQ at the beginning. This was for a very short period (no more than a few hours or so), then I switched to the address I mentioned above for the remainder of the time.

Unfortunately, my payout was more than 250 times less than expected. Mining directly on p2pool, I was getting about .005–.008 BTC per block. Here, the total payout for those five blocks was .00012807. Maybe I'm missing something?

As far as Cgminer using  too much CPU, that seems odd to me as Cgminer is designed to use very little CPU.  Maybe you have a driver issue?

cgminer on my system (64-bit Linux, official Nvidia drivers) also uses close to one full core all the time it's operating (even with GPU mining only). Never knew why, unless it does have something to do with the drivers.

Is the Litecoin mining part working? I joined the Litecoin part of p2pmining several days ago and have yet to see any mined LTC show up on my miner's status page (http://p2pmining.com/?method=miner&data=LSRaEEvH4PSbc5WBfU92d4BcJ3WcPzCB2i) (it also shows all units in BTC, when it should be LTC), although I do show up on http://p2pmining.com/?method=lpool under “current miners”. Are my rewards being tracked at all?

should be ?method=lminer( http://p2pmining.com/?method=lminer&data=LSRaEEvH4PSbc5WBfU92d4BcJ3WcPzCB2i )

Shows up there.  Looks like you have mined 1.88 with 1.35 confirmed.  Looks like I need to add a few coins to the wallet to make up for transactions fees again.

Ah, thanks. I couldn't remember how to find the URL so I had just guessed at it.  Grin

is dailybtc.com bugged out or? the last 3 bets ive put in never showed up, and for prob a week or two there was only 1 adress betting / winning, and im guessing thats the site bot...

Myself, I've never made a bet on the lottery there. It has been scratched off this list for a while when they stopped doing their free daily scratch-off.

seems its working again, but ive lost 1.3btc on 3 bets i made last month, since the bets never went through i mean...
no mail adresses or anything on the site so i guess sorting it out is out of the question.

It's pretty fishy if you ask me. It's shown the same winner every day over the last couple of weeks.

Yeah, I really wish these sites could give you like one extra chance or something in case you hit refresh too quickly. Smiley

So I guess this makes CoinAd much like Dailybitcoins now. Though in a way, trying to get prizes at Dailybitcoins with this scheme was already hectic enough for me.  Tongue

Does this apply if I load/refresh the prizes page or some other page in another tab, or just the main page which shows the prize?

Dailybitcoins does get pretty slow a lot of times. It comes and goes. I've noticed this over the last few months.

Maybe you need some type of table locking or queuing mechanism to serialize the access? It just happened again to me just now, this time with a .003 BTC prize. This sounds like something that could get worse the more popular the site gets.
