Re: Testing the blockchain, how?

Thank you very much for the information.

Depending on the product (I know) what are the best characteristics to test on. What I found interesting where the following quality attributes. Most of which are also known in softwaretesting under ISO 9126. Are there any specific tests that must be done when testing applications on the blockchain?

Functional tests: it’s highly likely that your blockchain product is entirely unique in some regards, given the limited scope of today’s applications for blockchain technology. It’s possible that you’re doing something that hasn’t been fully implemented in blockchain before. Here, functional testing will be your ‘sanity check’ to make sure that everything works properly.

Security tests: blockchain truly shines in financial and banking applications. For them, it’s important to test authentication and authorization methods. Their ability to withstand attacks of various malicious origins is crucial for their stability and security.

Integration tests: your blockchain app will work in multiple environments with various systems integrated, for example, a customer-facing UI. So it’s essential to test the performance and solidity of these inter-system connections.

Contract tests: making sure that the automation behind smart contracts works flawlessly is another thing that can make or break your blockchain application.

Performance tests: testing the size of the network and its ability to process transactions is critical, as it allows you to identify hardware and software bottlenecks in advance. This can also help you figure out the potential costs of running the application in the cloud or other environments.

Peer & node tests: verifying that there’s a consensus between nodes and that transactions are correctly sequenced within the network will ensure its stability and productivity for the end user.

..or do you mean testing an application that used one of the existing crypto currencies blockchains to accept payments, store smart contracts or store data?

Most establised crypto currencies have a main net, a testnet and regtest mode

Yes, I mean testing applications on top of blockchain. Sorry for the sloppy question...

Testing the blockchain, how?

Hi all,

Hopefully you can help me in my quest for information. In my workfield we are discussibg the possibilities to test the blockchain from a software perspective (like ISTQB for example).

On the internet, it’s difficult to find good information on the matter.

Question:
Where to find quality information regarding testing of the blockchain?
As a softwaretester myself, i will be very thankfull for your help!

We have released a lot of powerful day trading tools since this post. Check them out on xypher.io. CrossFire keeps being free Smiley

I used the tool a couple of times. Mostly to buy on ‘the dip’. Is did not magic but gave me a nice profit (5% or so). Was wondering about the claim its being free, forever. You also have a pro-versiin ($20 PM), thats not free in my opinion. Are you free or does the user have to pay?

Promissing project!

-edit-
Ah check... this is not the coinsniper-tool. Was navigaties through your website.

I dont get crypto sometimes. A project like PL with real world agreements, trials and a functional product has such a small market cap and %shitcoin% goes through the roof

I think thats why you should HODL. In the long term shitcoins will be dumped and great projects will be awarded. In the mean time, don’t invest in shitcoins and take the advantage of the ‘low’ price of the future-coins.

Correct, its just the money of one person. So no volatility at all.

The trust is the value of one person. Its like putting your money in a sock, but then in blockchain.

You can use it for two things:
- just deposit money (permanent)
- as a temperary store to withdraw your profits before buying the next dip.

Making a new coin as a savingsaccount, possible?

Hi,

I was thinking, is it possible to create your own cryptocoin (via waves for example), and store all your money into it. This way you wont have the regular interest (in europe a stunning 0,01%!!). It will not be effected by dips and/or highs on the cryptomarket, it will just be sitting there for your own pleasure. It will be your own savingsaccount on the blockchain.

Are there risks involved in this idea?

$1 only is possible if the sale of VR-land goes trough the roof (burn tokens), ingaming purchase (burn tokens?) can only be done in MANA, re-sale of land can only be done in MANA (burn more tokens), and adopties through the crowd is enormous.

A lot of ‘ifs’, but still optimistic it will go up in value,! But $1, sadly no..

Not (yet) the big up I was hoping for...

I’ll wait some more days, but there has to be some movement upwards or this was a lot of fuss about nothing (invester wise).

i want to buy a land but 120 dollars a land ? really ?

do you think it has a good value ?

I see the decentraland as a portal like I see Google search. The higher you are in Google/the better spot you have on decentraland, the more money you can create. Succes will be driven by the spot, but this must coexcist with good ideas/games.

So if you have a great idea, $120 is nothing. You can see this as a high ranking in Google, you wont get this for $120. But it will generatie a lot of wealth if you play it well!

Im not sure how low quality content will effect good quality places. If ur next to immense populair spots, you also will benefit. If ur neighbour has shit, this will effect ur business also. Is there a way to remove the ‘shit’ out of ur own neighbourhood/district?

What I read is all tokens that were used for the purchase of land will be burned (15 december). This means, less tokens  on the market after the initial sale. But also, what to do with remaining MANA? I heard that other crypto’s can be used within the game.

Tell them to make $100 will cost the gouvernement $0,06 with no restrictions to full throttle.

To make a bitcoin will cost round $3000, with limits.

Re: Best wallet for LTC to hold?
by

on 08/12/2017, 08:04:45 UTC
If you are holding it for years,i suggest you to use ledger nano s or trezor these are hardwallets for me its most secure wallet available and i dont trust online wallets cause anytime the developers or founders can steal your coins.

At this moment the Nano S can be accessed via a Chrome app (eg ETH, BTC, LTC, etc.) What happens if in the future it will be banned (government, regulation) to offer these kind of apps via Chrome. How can you then access your Nano S? Or the support via the manufacterer of the Nano S quits.

I hope it will drop to 5k or something (even though at that rate I will make a red value!). I was just reading and investing when the big bubble came. To little money in it from me to take full advantage of the big flow up. So wait for my investments and fly Ro the moon  Wink

Re: RIPPLE vs Bitcoin. What will banks do?
by
TriggerHappyCoin

Banks? Bitcoin is already centralized and controlled by few miners. They can easily manipulate prices and change the blocks, BTC is not a good example anymore..
+1

Isn’t this the case with al large coins? And if not, will the profit attract the huge players the take up there control also over that coin? I don’t see how this can be prevented when bitcoin mining is not lucratieve for small players.
