DMD is becoming irrelevant because it is now listed at #3242 in CoinMarketCap, it was removed from all major exchanges and it is technologically frozen in time.

I agree with you, PoW is ultimately bad for all of us but the top two cryptocurrencies (BTC and ETH) are still PoW!

The relevance of a project it not dependent on the consensus mechanism being eco friendly or not.

BTC will rule maybe forever and ETH has proven to be capable of adapting to many changes over these last years.

That is the secret; quick adaptability.

PoS v3 with the current masternodes used by DMD has been surpassed by newer, better options.

And DMD failed to keep up with the changes, that's all.

Guys, I'm done with this debate.

All I wanted was for you guys to acknowledge to the fact that DMD is now completely irrelevant in the crypto world and as time goes by this will only get worse and worse.

I totally understand your difficulties; DMD is just a side project and definitely not at the top of your priorities. Being that the case, can you please stop sharing cheap propaganda on how great DMDv4 is going to be?

We don't need propaganda, we need results! Action! Something palpable and not some random screenshots!

I am not a developer, I did not take the responsibility to lead this community, I don't call myself CEO or COO of any foundation! You do! You took that responsibility! And I am holding you accountable for that!

I have been here since 2013, and I'm not planning on leaving. I'm just really disappointed with what's going on, ok?

You promised a lot and you are not delivering, it's a simple as that.

DMD will disappear if we keep on waiting for the update promised 3 years ago... At this pace, by the time we get DMDv4 it will be already half obsolete.

When the time comes, there will be step by step instructions as before. Don't worry about that.

This thread is completely obsolete in the sense that the initial post has no relation whatsoever to the current state of development. It is time to start a new thread for DMD v4. Actually, this should have been done sometime ago, specially taking into account that DMD v4  was announced almost three years ago..... 3 years ago!

Why are you pushing for the use of Minerva wallet? Does this mean DMD v4 won't have a proprietary wallet?

Ok, it might be a good solution, but why Minerva? At this point it's completely untested beta software. And there are solid alternatives to consider (https://ethereum.org/en/wallets/find-wallet/)

DMD v4 testnet started 3 months ago but the latest news we got was in January. What's the status of that?

Will DMD v4 see the light of day sometime this year? Maybe next year?

I understand you guys are doing your best, but the truth is DMD v4 was announced in the middle of 2019...

This is an extremely slow development cycle and we face a serious risk of becoming completely neglectable, useless and pointless.

Crypto is in the highest point ever and we cannot afford to let all other projects ride this wave while we are taking two full years to make an upgrade.

I still believe in DMD, but the community needs to see palpable progress, and fast!
