People still use BCT? Tongue All the best for your launch, hopefully this project will be beneficial for Dash as well in the future.

25k sell wall ... and it seems like its not otoh, so we have another whale joining the game?
It`s not him, look twice on the photo.

Do you see My open orders? Smiley

Oh dear, you're quite right, I missed that!  LOL, only buys there!  Excuse my sloppiness once again, I beg ya'all  Lips sealed  Embarrassed

Wow he posts a screenshot and immediately you take that as gospel? Have you ever heard of having a second account? You're allowed to LINK accounts at poloniex, or you can have a completely separate account on another IP address. didn't you know?  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

This Otoh guy is already a proven liar involved in the dash deception.. the fact that he went through the trouble of posting this screen almost guarantees the other sell is his. he knows how gullible you all are.

you people really are stupid and deserve to lose money

If you want to put your money where your mouth is, there is plenty of Dash available on Poloniex for shorting. What could go wrong??

DASH wasn't the first self funding blockchain LOL

Might want to correct the OP guys.  That's misleading.

Could it be that Dash was the "First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency"? As opposed to First Self-Funding Currency, First Self-Governing Currency if that's what you mean?

So Dash is the first self governing crypto that is also self funding?  The way it's stated in the OP seems to lay claim to both titles...

I guess we could say that Dash is the first self-funding self-governing DAO. How's that?

Looking at Dash charts on 1 day timescale I think we're due a correction.

Longer term bullish of course

Didn't someone mention the stolen/missing Mintpal and Cryptsy coins were being dumped for a whole year, suppressing the Dash price?

Considering what the team and community have built, there is no reason why the Dash market-cap cannot continue increasing from here.

The main issue is that when someone decides to take down their Masternode, they are likely to quickly dump it into the current market buy orders (which can be a bit thin at times).

Has the team considered adding a delay, so that Masternode coins are not spendable for a certain amount of time (~24-48 hrs) after a Masternode is taken offline?

A delay could give the market time to prepare while additional coins move to the currency market, and could add stability as it creates another level of separation from the Dash reserve market.

I'm officially done with Cryptsy. I made my weekly BTC purchase and conversion to DASH but this time it took almost 3 hours before they sent my coin to my wallet. Typically something that takes a few seconds to at most a couple of minutes.

I'm a small insignificant crypto holder so me quitting Cryptsy doesn't mean much to them...at least until there are 1000's of me or more. At the rate they are going, it won't be long before all the little guys like me stop using them and they are done. And clearly, given what they've done to Otoh and his public accounting of horrendous service will only make the numbers grow of both small and large investors leaving.

I'm pretty sure that the mass exodus they've been experiencing has been loud and clear.  It looks like Poloniex is the biggest exchange now.  We seriously need a decentralized exchange.  I feel like we could have that much sooner if developers would give up on the idea of fiat to crypto, leave that to a market place like Open Bazaar, and focus only on crypto to crypto exchanges.

And Poloniex is exactly where I went. Deposited my BTC, cleared in a matter of minutes (as expected based on BTC confirmation speed), put my order up, it filled in about 30 minutes, withdrew my DASH and it cleared and hit my wallet in a matter of less than a minute (as expected).  Can't ask for things to work as they should any better than that.

+1 for Poloniex! With Cryptsy we were sometimes waiting ages for BTC and Dash deposits to clear (even well after they have fully confirmed).

+ If you verify and send a message to support, they seem to unlock your account to enable lightning quick deposits and withdrawals. BTC deposits hit your account and are ready to trade with only 1 confirmation!

Given crypsty DASH trading looks like it is dying (bots aside) is there a poloniex wisdom equiv for DASH?

Poloniex staff said bitcoinwisdom are not replying to their messages either.

Bitcoinwisdom simply have to update the ticker in their implementation of the Poloniex API and it would all be operational again.

In the meantime they recommend Tradingview or Coinigy as good alternatives.

Eclipse Attacks on Bitcoin’s Peer-to-Peer Network

https://medium.com/mit-security-seminar/eclipse-attacks-on-bitcoin-s-peer-to-peer-network-e0da797302c2#.1w6ptnei4

DASH's tech got a couple of mentions in the discussion here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3q1gle/eclipse_attacks_on_bitcoins_peertopeer_network/

"Why not adopt Dash's approach of giving nodes part of the block reward?? Check out Dash's masternode scheme to see how they do it -- masternodes have to put up collateral and everything. They also serve as coin mixing hubs. It's a pretty good idea.

Haven't Bitcoiners been calling 'altcoins' the 'lab experiments' of crypto for years, saying they'd adopt whatever goodness came out of the experiments?

It seems to be going the other way around, though. Altcoin developers watch what goes wrong in Bitcoin, and then quickly code a solution that prevents the same thing from happening in their own coin." - Netizen_Cookie

"The masternode concept in DASH rewards nodes that comply with optional standards. Maybe 21inc could include that protocol into its computers" - cqm

Hey guys keen for some input here if your up to it. Thanks!

This is the question asked below:
Quote
Can someone help me understand the claims of Monero and Darkcoiners regarding the anonymity of their chain?

As far as I can tell, there are literally 1-3 transactions that occur in every block. How the hell is that anonymous? There is no entropy in these systems. Am I reading their explorers incorrectly? Is there something weird with the way they handle transactions such that 1 transaction means many more? Or are their claims of high use as bullshit as it looks?
XMR transactions: http://chainradar.com/xmr/blocks/1
DSH transactions: http://chainradar.com/dsh/blocks

Good to see some discussion on the first page of r/Bitcoin/

Shame they linked to the wrong blockchain explorer for Dash :/

The main thing lacking in Dash for me is that sites like TradingView and BitcoinWisdom don't have a Dash feed. Where do you do Technical Analysis of Dash? Do i have to print screen a chart and draw trend lines with an arts package ?

Try http://DashWisdom.com
Nice rebranding, is it possible to work this website outside of the US without a proxy workaround as default?

It's just a blind redirect. So suffers from the same blocking problem as the BitcoinWisdom charts in certain countries.

It would be good to have a list of which countries are affected by the blocking, then I can set up a redirect to alternative charts based on originating IP.

Wholly hell - LOL - I can FINALLY pull-up a decent chart at work !!!

YEAH !!!!    \o/ -> lol   TOUCHDOWN !!!

edit:looks a little boxy on the 4:3 - lol

It's just a blind redirect to the 'hidden' BitcoinWisdom charts. A temporary measure until they get Dash back on the front page.

Has anyone managed to make contact with them? They seem to have vanished.

It appears, that according to the good folks at Bitcoinwisdom, DRK/DASH, the fifth largest marketcap in crypto, simply doesn't exist!

What a joke that website is.

This hidden link works (should be used USA IP)

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/cryptsy/drkbtc

Or just use the shortcut http://dashwisdom.com/ Wink

(Still need USA IP etc)

I've used their service twice just to test it. Deposits clear in a few days, but month-long delays and endless excuses/hollow promises from support staff for withdrawal of fiat $ or even small amounts of BTC (under $50).

Note. I did get my funds out of them in the end.

Avoid.

Nice to see the numbers match here :
masternodes =2524

Onward and forward to 3000 active masternodes !
whats happened to the other 500 masternodes, they can't all be waiting to buy back in, why so slow ?!

The count is only of nodes on v12 the ones that are still on v11 are not being counted anymore. Some people just like to update after everything is stable or are just not following the forums so they may not even be aware of the updates yet.

Is there any way to check how many v11 masternodes are still out there?
