He knows he lost the bet, stop spamming this thread with "plz pay me".

Either he is going to send you the coin or not. spamming this thread won't change it either way.

My ping does seem pretty awful. Ehh, i'll just upgrade. Even if it doesn't help my mining, at least I won't lag anymore in dota2 and get ganked by riki.

this is going to sound like a total noob question, but here goes:

does the internet connection speed have anything to do with my accepted hashrate for mdidlecoin? I have the rigs connected wirelessly through a wireless range extender, that is wirelessly connected to my actual modem/router. I have had no issues with this setup on other mining pools, with my hashrates being reported through the pools accurately (meaning very similar to what my cgminer client reports).

I've noticed that the hashrates reported on middlecoin though are roughly 20% lower than what I expect them to be. My internet is cable internet, but is the slowest speed option available through my provider. If connection speed is an issue, I will upgrade the internet speed, as I would make up that extra monthly cost in about 1 day of mining. If the internet speed is not a factor though, then I will forego it.

Thanks  Kiss

I'm able to log in, and it appears as though my .65btc was not stolen (WOW!)

I cannot, however, change my payout address. It's disconcerting that it must remain locked on the bad guys' address.

very impressed you guys are going to refund everyone. hats off.

let's all calm down and just relax until they sort this out. I am hopeful everything will be reimbursed and we can return to mining here. time will tell.

I lost about .6btc

mistakes happen, but it's what you do NOW that determines how hashcows will operate from here on out. do the right thing.

I would love to do a stop loss, but i use coinbase for ease. I used to use campbx but i fucking despise dwolla and don't have the patience to deal with gox.

thoughts? If theres another simple way to easily get usd into bank accounts by selling i'm all ears.

thanks

man, i am mere dollars away from hitting my "sell off 20% of my holdings" point. that would really help bootstrapping my start up.

if it keeps creeping up, no sleep for me tonight  Smiley

It's awesome that you have never been in debt, really it is. Most of us aren't in that position, however.

To me the decision was simple: small chance of very high wealth through holding bitcoins vs guarantee of being out of debt.

By no means did I sell all of them, but I'm happy with how I played the game. You can't go broke taking profits.

rampion,

you abhor debt, but at the same time are dumbfounded why he would sell off his bitcoins so that he can get out of debt.

I sold hundreds of bitcoins back in march/april to eliminate myself of debt, and i regret NOTHING.

Bitcoin should be regulated if it wants to have a bright future. Not overly regulated, but regulated.

On a similar note, If you don't plan on paying taxes on any profits you may make on bitcoin, well, enjoy the long dick of the law. I'm happy to pay taxes on profits.

if history were to repeat itself (2011 high of $32, 2013 high of $266), just from a log graph perspective, what would be the next bubbles' ATH?

in other words, stable price->$32, then stable price->$266...

what was this bubbles' (if it is a bubble, i haven't a clue) stable price, and what would the top be if we only look at the previous two bubbles' stable->ATH?

just curious

we have not reached the peak... but i would be fine with the prices stabilizing for awhile.

i'm looking to dump at >$1000 prices. a quick bubble will not achieve that.
