Re: Which alts to buy?

I agree with previous posts, ETH has a great potential and great things are expected from it in 2019. I have high hopes about Ripple as well, this coin offers something completely different than the rest of the coins and its potential is yet to be reached. Ripple is popular among investors holders and serious traders as well. I like a new project that I am currently supporting, BTCN. This coin already reached CMC and is present in several credible exchanges. It already has large, supportive and active community and it seems to have a bright future.

Check the first 20 list and take your pick. My choices are ETH and XRP. I bet they will make a boom in the next 1 or 2 years. Also, if you are into cryptos and you like supporting new projects, my pick is BTCN. This coin has exellent, transparent idea with the upfront names behind the story. It reached CMC in a no time and already has a strong and extremely active community. As far as I know, it is already present on a couple of exchanges. It is quite appealing to me so far.

Re: What does KYC gives you ?

I look at it as a precaution measure. Investing in shady project will give you nothing, no matter if there is a KYC involved or not. Shady project will rip you off even without the KYC. On the other hand, it seems completely legit to me for you to have some kind of portfolio with your documents to confirm your identity and for the other party to know with whom are they doing business with. It is a contract, security contract, that's the way how am I looking at it.

Just think about it as a new beginning. If you have an extra cash that you can invest, do it. This is an exellent moment for the newbies to test the waters and join the market.

Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin?

You need to look at the wider picture and the benefits in the data transfer brought by block chain technology. There are two levels in the way how you should look at the market. There is a trading market and all of us like ants pushing through, making some minor impact on the price, sell/buy, doubt, hold, pray, be patient and all the other things that we are telling each other here everyday. There are the whales that are huge impact makers and that are risking more, but gaining more as well. And there is some black/grey part of our community that is in this for transactions, monetary fluctuation, turn around and simply making the money move around. And that is the part that will assure our future. BTC will not die unless some safer, faster, more anonymous and more unrestricted way of moving the data is created. Until then, all is good, we're looking for a bright future.

Re: What If Nothing Change In 2019?
by
Troy-Crypto
on 13/12/2018, 22:22:05 UTC
You are right, if the situation continues through 2019, BTC will drastically lose its support. It is reasonable to expect from the people to be patient through the first couple of months of 2019 but everything above that is a blind faith. I believe that 2019 will not bring any drastic and epic reverse and sudden sky rocketing, it will bring some stability and the growth of price of a couple of thousand dollars. Keep your hope, but keep it to the minimum.

Re: Don't quit investing

No one should invest more that they can lose. That is the base rule for any investment. If you are putting your last money in any investment or depriving yourself from any basic need, that is more gamble than it's an investment. Plus, as said many times before, this is a marathon, not a sprint and you can not expect an easy money with any serious investment. My advice to anyone having extra cash to spare is to invest. For the others, make more money to buy more coins Smiley

Re: Where Bitcoin will skyrocket this time?
by

It will take a while for it to hit any extremely high amount. It is more likely for us to witness a steady and slow growth with a lot of stagnation in between. I think that 2019 will not be great as well. Everyone is talking about 2020 as the year of BTC, so we will see what will it bring.

Re: how to choose a new coin
by

I am always reading through the Whitepaper first. Check if the idea is good, if the people behind it are named and can be checked. Transparency is crucial. Also, the actions taken by the community. Support is extremely important for any coin, especially if you are entering some new project and selecting some unknown coin. I have been following an unknown coin for some time now, it is called BTCN. It seems good for now, it reached cmc, has an extremely active community and it is already available in several exchanges. I hope that my gut is not fooling me, but I am predicting some nice profit and good story with this one.

Re: Even people in here now give up on Bitcoin
by
Troy-Crypto

Why would you say the thing like that? What's with the propethic attitude? 'When I was talking, no one listened!' That guy is probably a millionaire now since he knew everything for 365 days now? People here would not invest their time and energy into being here without believing in BTC. This is a good support system as well, people are trying to educate themselves, find out others opinions, that is what is this community about. The ones that gave up and left crypto world are not here.

It seems like an interesting choice. I am having a strong trust in XRP and ETH for the next year. Plus a new project that recently started and that has a great potential with really committed and driven developing team, BTCN. The coin already reached a couple of credible exchanges and its capitalisation and community support shows steady growth. It seems even not the be extremely shaken by the current instability. The coin is showing great potential.

It is normal to feel uneasy and a bit stressed, but hold your horses! Based on the last couple of days, it is clear that we may expect new bottom, maybe the predictions about 2k are correct. But it will not die/parish or cease to exist. It will rise to above 10k again. For all those who are looking for long-term investment, invest now. For those looking for a quick money, move on. But BTC will survive.

Re: Will usage of bitcoin reduce the value of native currencies?
by
Troy-Crypto
on 04/12/2018, 21:32:19 UTC
I believe that it will have an impact to the fiat currencies, but not to the value of the currencies. BTC and fiat currencies will adapt to each other and certain alterations will be made in order for both systems to work together. I don't think that it will replace fiat currencies or devalue them, but they will all be present and active in the standard banking system some day. The banking system will have to adjust and alter in order to implement cryptos into its system.

Re: Bitcoin is a religion
by

You are taking the words out of the context. When one says 'I believe that the value of the BTC will go up', it is usually backed up by comments about the previous drop of the price or one quotes a text he/she read somewhere or some smart guy that said so or something. So, comparing sentences 'I believe in God' and 'I believe in BTC' is ridiculous. Believing in BTC is usually justified by a statement, a fact that was read somewhere or someone's opinion. And every single investor or potential investor forms opinion based on the capacity and information. It doesn't come as a surprise to me that there are people investing in BTC like playing rullet, they think of it as a gamble so it is completely reasonable that they need to have faith in it Smiley

@DavidTep1987

Is this the one that you mentioned? What does BTCN stand for? This is the only one that Google found  Undecided

https://www.bitcoinote.org/

Yes, that is the one!  Cheesy
Check it out, I find the developing moment quite interesting, their developers seem to be doing a good job. I believe that it could have a good potential with the right support.

Tnx, David, I have gone through the information that I could find so far from the site. Can you tell me what is your current status with this project? I am not sure if I understood you, are you just doing a research about BTCN or you've already invested? What is your prediction about the capitalisation of BTCN?
