That’s great. If more countries start to adopt Bitcoin, it would be great. Countries like El Salvadore and CAR have already done that, but it would be great if some big economies could start to do that. It will take time, but it will eventually happen.

Re: People who don't use hardware wallets: Why not?

That’s true. Hardware wallets are mostly used by those who want to hold on to their coins for a long term. For traders, merchants and others who frequently buy and sell cryptocurrencies are better off using a hot wallet. But there are also people who are using both. Being a merchant, I accept crypto payments, so I have to convert or withdraw them quite often. This is why I have kept them in a hotwallet, Capitalwallet which is quite convenient. The coins which I want to hold for long term investment, I prefer to keep them in the cold wallet - ledger nano X. It all depends on the requirements.

Fear the wolf in sheep's clothing. Stay away from the scammers that are gradually becoming harder to identify. Hackers and con artists are becoming more interested in cryptocurrencies as their value rises. You worry about the number of checks and balances in place as an investor. To prevent cryptocurrency fraud, it's important to always maintain control over your digital currency.

Fighting against Bitcoin will do no good for the government. It will be a waste of money and time for it. But certain controls can be put in place to reduce the monopoly of Bitcoin.

There is no such thing as a safe place when it is about money. There are going to be scams and fear of losing when money is involved. However, proper knowledge and awareness can prevent being scammed.

Re: Bitcoin isn't a religion.

It is totally absurd to think of bitcoins as a religion. It is just virtual money built on blockchain technology that helps you to build wealth. There’s an ocean of differences like in a religion we pray to god. There’s no such thing related to bitcoins. Please refrain yourself from such mentality.

You are capable of doing so. Diversifying your portfolio, on the other hand, is a good idea. When purchasing bitcoin, you should also consider purchasing altcoins.

Re: A reminder about the media

I think it is crucial to filter the news related to crypto, what we watch about it, and the frequency of watching it because the more we watch it, the more anxiety it causes if it is negative news. Plus, there are not many credible news sources to verify online. So doing our own research is far better than depending on the news itself.

These things will continue to happen but won’t affect crypto’s survival. It is highly unlikely until there’s some extreme case scenario where the survival of crypto is at stake, which is highly unlikely as of today.

The fate of crypto in El Salvador is good, and we are observing that. But the people and financial institutions have to evolve to make it assimilate into the mainstream; otherwise, the efforts of the president of El Salvadore will fail.

No, but if it’s a cool name, then I could consider it. But when they grow up and know they were named after a crypto, then things would be a bit weird.

Re: Will Bitcoin Repeat History ?

Yes, the charts tell us that. Every 4-5 years, the price of bitcoin experiences a high bull run. But we can’t say if this will really happen. I think, one should place their bets with careful analysis and invest that they can afford to lose.
