Re: Windows 10 1709, AMD Drivers, and Afterburner
by

I don't know if the UI problems above were, Start button, cortana and task bar not functioning properly but..

I did multiple fresh installs of windows last weekend trying to figure this out.  After the DDU, I would usually end up with the start button not working along with cortana and some of the task bar features.  I found a solution for this.

1- Right click on start menu and click on Run. "For those who the start menu does not respond with right click, right click on taskbar - click on Task Manager - from File menu on the left upper corner select Run new task".
2-White the command regedit and click Enter.
3- Go to path [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WpnUserService].
4-Double click on Start from the right side.
5-Change the value data to 4 then OK.
6-Reboot

Now my start button, cortana and task bar work as they should.

Ended up with 1709 updated before turning off windows update. DDU and installed Beta Blockchain Aug23rd and MSI afterburner Beta 16 (maybe 19).

Maybe this will help someone else.

Thanks for the possible UI fix. I keep getting periodic crashes on my rigs after 1709 with Aug blockchain drivers and custom bioses that worked fine with 1703. I've just been living with UI issue since it's still functional for mining and I don't game or do anything on headless mining rigs.

I really don't want to downgrade to 1703 since I'll likely have to go back to 1709 soon enough. I wish AMD would just do another blockchain driver but I doubt it. I also don't want to stop using custom bioses for overclock, undervolt, and straps. It's so much simpler than relying on the occasionally buggy claymore miner to do those settings and/or afterburner. But even with the latest AMD drivers I couldn't get 1709 to work because some cards wouldn't stick when I changed the the setting to compute. It was a mixed 580/570 system, and only the 580 would stick.

It's interesting Vann says he got everything working with no problem on all 580 or all 570 systems. I'll have to try again since I'm on 1709 with blockchain drivers but every day or two a rig goes down for no apparent reason.

I usually disable all services that allow updating, but periodically update when major win releases come out. Never again. This time was a shit show.

Good afternoon! Do I understand correctly that only 12,000,000 Influx coins will be issued?

Hi guys,

How does it work with mixed POW/POS? Is it basically that 8% of all POW blocks mined go to POS'ers? Does that mean Whattomine's calculation of estimated payout should be reduced by 8% to get a better estimate? Thanks for answering these questions. Cheers to the OP for creating a great coin.

it is working now, how to calculate profit if i run will run 19.3Gh (d3 miner)?

https://b2x.multipools.club/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

Time Since Last Block   9 minutes 35 seconds

I recommend my tried-and-true technique of burning incense and praying to the gods of chance (sacrificial forks laid in a circle also help). Seriously, though, at this point it's not clear exactly what the price is because it's unclear if exchanges and market participants will treat this as having the same value as existing B2X futures (roughly $250/coin a/o today) or some other instrument valued at much less. It boils down to: does B2X have to be released by the same team who originally proposed it, or is it "first to market" with a B2X fork and any team? Hence all the recent confusion and bickering between those who feel the first way versus the second. All I know is my D3 is earning shit on x11 mining, so I'm going all-in and mining this coin then holding until I can sell and hoping there's a typical pump in the first few months. I'd like to get $30/day for the coins I'm mining now, which would be ballpark $125 per coin. I'd take half that if the first few weeks' range was lower, which would still beat Dash, and if the price just sucks or its worthless, oh well, I lost a few bucks. No risk no reward. Good luck.

Any antminer d3 users notice really poor performance compared to expected results? My d3 says it's running at 19.3, which I usually estimate as 18 on pool, but even with that estimate on whattomine, I never hit it. It's almost always much less, not the usual less and more like you'd think with luck variability. My ether GPU mining rigs are usually spot-on or higher if I estimate about 1 lower (they do 29.3, so I use 28 as the estimate). Regretting that d3 purchase. What a POS, even though DASH is a great coin.

It's time. Even if it makes a double bottom first, this thing is ready for a pump. Devs should just put out some BS news right here to get us back above the 50sma.

Re: PURA COIN the next DASH!?

We are very excited to announce an innovative feature for PURA, which we just now have the opportunity to implement in our very next release. At the moment, all major coins are facing the problem of “Dump Mining” that leads to an unfair distribution of mining rewards in the community.
The vision of PURA is to bring fairness and democratic freedom for the common good and therefore we will be the first cryptocurrency, which will implement a new feature to avoid “Dump Mining” from the very beginning!
For this reason, the PURA Development Team has decided to move the listing on other exchanges until this update is fully implemented and tested. It will also be necessary to transfer all the PURAs out of the Windows based PURA-Wallet and back into the PURA-Wallet of coinexchange.io in a certain timeframe, which will be published soon. Then after the new innovative feature has been released we will release a new version of the Windows based PURA-Wallet that will replace the existing ones.
This innovative feature will result in a fantastic unique selling proposition (USP) for PURA on the market, because other coins will not be able to implement a similar function without a hard fork.
We are proud to release PURA, the first “fair-mining-coin,” within the next weeks and will inform you about the progress frequently on our Official Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/officialpura).

Potential coin!

Given that miners keep the chain running and create liquidity, how are you going to avoid a hash crash if you force miners to hold your coins? I'm honestly asking. If I switch my rigs to pura and find out there's no way to sell for weeks, that's a scam coin. And once you earn that reputation, there's no coming back. Hopefully you have s creative way that still recognizes miners as valuable members of the community. They're not the bad guys, even if some bigger players short a coin then breakeven on cloud mining + dumping to force the price down.

Pool luck has been awful (170% or so) in the last 24 hours.

Is that what's going on? Received -46% of expected payout on Dash. Bummer day to have bad luck.

I invested in LBRY on 22nd june when it was pumping from 17th june 11.27 worth of bitcoins and at that time LBRY reached 92 cents, Now my bitcoins are worth 2.5 and I am one the biggest bag holder of these, Guess it was my start in trading and I have learnt the hard way, I thought and believed this to be a great project but I don't know why this particular project has not recovered, All other altcoins have been recovering but not this particular one. Guess I will remain the bag holder of it till my 30k+ lbc becomes same worth as I invested in.

That's rough, I just hope you didn't put all your Bitcoins into one coin and you have plenty more. I did that once back when I was a noob and I lost it all. Everything, because I was desperate to make money. I'm just glad I was able to start over from the beginning and make a sort of a comeback.

It's what I really hate about the Crypto business, the idea that people can lose so much.

You can sell them to me and I'll sell them back to you at .00019

I've enjoyed watching the hype deflate from this coin. Buying my first slug right now. Devs will post some BS sooner or later and up we go.

Latest version is v10.0:

I just discovered a rig that had been crashed (apparently) for three days, but was still drawing the full amount of power and all cards appeared to be running like normal. I've never seen mining software lockup but keep mining or drawing power before. The miner window just showed the usual hash info but the last entry was three days ago. First time with Claymore, that's for sure. Was v9.8. I'll upgrade, but I sure hope a bug like this was fixed in v10. That's a really frustrating situation. I use temperatures/power to determine if a rig needs to be reset. Now I guess I have to find a new way, probably using some sketchy email indicator from the pool. How can that even happen?

Please update the FAQ to explain how to get notified when a rig goes down. I think you just turn on "Monitor" on the worker, but it doesn't state that anywhere. It'd be nice to have some options to control that (e.g. if rig is down more than __ hours/minutes notify via email).

Any word on an update to the miner to support the new AMD blockchain beta drivers? Can't undervolt with 9.8 miner settings if using new drivers. Come on Claymore. We need you buddy!
