where to trade original faircoin for 2

Who would wan't to trade a coin without a supporting community, nore activ coding development, nore trading platforms like the "original" faircoin against it's evolution? We already have a evoltioning fair money coin → faircoin.

But what the still existing fairtoken could be used for is to create other evolutionary forks for to creat fairShares, fairTickets and other blockchain related use cases for the community. We will always have the basics of a worlking ledger that has a wide distribution of already interested "stake holders".

Point is that we we would have to rescue in the first place the coins that are on electrum servers as the faircoin1 server went down, at least for a prudent time period, to give people the chance to take their tokens of the electrum wallets, and of course all the tokens that are on the old ledger at bittrex have to be recovered also! I doubt that bittrex has any legal rights to those tokens.

just test on clean new install of debian jessie 8.1XFCE i586 (not update/upgraded) on T420 (not 64bit but works anyway)

make sure to place a copy of your still working faircoin1 installation alongside the new installation like this:

./FairCoin
./faircoin2

where ./faircoin2 is the new by the installation process created folder containing faircoin2 PoC

Code:
su
apt-get install build-essential autoconf libssl-dev libboost-dev libboost-chrono-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-test-dev libboost-thread-dev libqt4-dev libprotobuf-dev protobuf-compiler libqrencode-dev git libleveldb-dev libleveldb1 libtool autoconf autotools-dev pkg-config libdb++-dev libevent-dev

git clone https://github.com/faircoin/faircoin.git

cd faircoin

./autogen.sh
./configure --disable-tests --disable-bench --with-incompatible-bdb

make
make install

exit

when you initialize  faircoin-qt the first time, probably straight away from your console:
Code:
faircoin-qt
faircoin2 will ask you where to place the installation folder ./faircoin2 , probably proposing:
/home/username./faircoin

Make sure to place a copy of your working installation of your old FairCoin installation alongside this new folder before going on with the instalation:
 /home/username./FairCoin
 /home/username./faircoin2

Then finish to initialize the installation process of faircoin2.

You should have access to your brand new faircoin2 PoC coins → faircoin

If you had trouble with coins send from old addresses to new addresses, like mentioned a few pages before:
Quote
I sent faircoin from old wallet to new wallet and did not receive any faircoins can any one tell how can I retrieve my faircoins
for example by sending your coins from a faircoin1 wallet to the identical address of the new bittrex wallet, try to get an older back up of your wallet.dat and use that as initializing wallet.dat for the upgrading process. Also it is possible that the transaction simply will not figure in the new faircoin2 chain and you might see your coins anyway.

That said your faircoin1 tokens do still exist and rest in the wallets of bittrex.
That's a unacceptable circumstance!

Welcome to faircoin2.0 PoC!
--------
let's save FairCoin PoS as a token te evolve more blockchain related proposals for a fairer cooperation.
we keep minting faircoin1 and hope to convince the FairCoinTeam to do so too!

Identical multisig addresses for bitcoin and litecoin?
by

Just posted in the wrong forum the following "problem" I found.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1070161.0

Hi there,
I did some test with the multisignature possibilities that offers electrum and how it works. I also did the same with litecoin and managed to create the same multisignature addresses with the same seeds in electrum 2.2 for bitcoin and electrum-ltc 2.1.1.1 for litecoin.

I never expected to create actually the same address for both currencys.
Is this expected to happen?

As for I know litecoin normal addresses start with an "L" and using the same creation process as I did know I created electrum wallets for both but never had similar addresses.

I posted this over here because I didn't knew/found where to post it.
It's not particular a problem I have so it's no help request.

Some how I thought that same Addresses, even if there can't be a way of interference, is tended to not happen as a kind of common sense agreement in the currency community. As I don't have a profile in litecoin communities I just found bitcointalk the right place to at least publish the fact.
So where to post if not in what looks like "general discusion seccion".  Embarrassed

I did nothing wrong in particular, just using the same seeds.  Shocked  Grin
