Re: Corona virus is fake ?

In Mexico there's a group of people who are convinced that the Corona virus is fake, and tried to force their way into a hospital to free the people. They actually think that the reports, just not from Mexico, but the US and other country is all made up. Actors. Stupidity.

It's big news now because Prince Harry is so famous, but throughout history or the royal family the brother of the king is always forgotten. Not really an important figure.

Re: your internet costs and income
by

If you don't have the internet then you're going to not only miss opportunities, but not be able to take advantage of sudden opportunities that might come across in the crypto world, and that won't be there by the time you go to use the library's internet. So the money that you save can end up costing you thousands, maybe even millions.

Bitcoin has been around for ten years. Like the Universe, it's only a small blink compared to it's future. It's far from over.

He doesn't have the power to stop them. But lets say he did. That would affect every aspect of the economy. What I'm saying it's that it's not something that you can just stop on a whim, and proceed with something better as if nothing just happened.

Re: Why the global currency cannot be 100% internet based and if we will have one
by

There will never be one global currency in the world. That involves the elite of each country giving up power. The name of the game is power. Do you think they're going to be, "Oh it's a good idea because then there will be no exchange fees."

Plus wouldn't countries that are doing bad weaken the value for countries that are doing good?

Do you know of any people that went bankrupt because of crytos? I read an old thread on Bitcoin talk, after Googling the subject, and this one guy lost like $400,000 of his retirement. Hadn't told his wife yet. But this was many years ago, so hopefully he hoarded some Bitcoins and recouped.

Re: The Mysterious Chinese Bitcoin Whale Hoarded 94,000 BTC

I wonder who the individual is, and why would they hold so much in one particular wallet when such a thing would be discovered.

My guess is that it's not an individual, but probably the Chinese government. But you know what, since it's so easy to link to China, I also wouldn't be surprised if it's another government making it seem that it's Chinese.

If you're unsure what I would have done is buy a portion. As you can see we are in green today, but what you want to do is average it out. If you would had put a portion yesterday and the price went down, then you will have money left over to put more. Where if you put everything, no money.

I will never put all of my money into just one or two coins. Maybe that would have been better in the past, but probably not even. If that coins goes to shit, then you're screwed, rather than just losing say 5% of that particular coin. Sure it would suck not to have all your money on one coin that went 100x, but it's better than losing it all and having nothing.

Re: Will increased usage of crypto / bitcoin convert world to small village?
by

None of the points you mentioned are a new phenomenon. For example, the reddetor who bought 400kg of food for Venezuela, from Nano donations just mean that people used crypto instead of cash. People have been doing such things for centuries. There's even GoFundMe. I love crypto, and it's nice to think that it's going to change the world into a Utopia, but lets me realistic here.

Re: What will happen to the market over the next few months?
by
TurboRyzen

I think it's going to be the same old as what's been happening the last eighth months. I've been kind of unsure about Bitcoin's future ever I started following how that Mt. Gox lawyer was able to negatively affect Bitcoins price by a lot, with chunks of half billion worth of Bitcoin. And I'm sure that after crashing the markets he purchased some more cheap coins.

And I feel that there are too many Bitcoin whales, and it's easy and tempting for them to make themselves even richer.

Re: Does crypto bring more risk than benefit?
by

on 02/08/2018, 02:58:57 UTC
I think it's risky and more based on luck. It's risky because not 100% of people will not make money, and a lot will lose. It's also luck base, because two people of the exact same mindset and IQ will have different results based on when thy just happened to get involved. Say one got in in December 2016, and another in December 2017. Same IQ, different results.

Not to sound disrespectful, but that's kind of a very newbish question.

Obviously in this crypto world Bitcoin is the sun. People in the mainstream know what Bitcoin is thanks to the boom it had last year, but they have no idea what Ethereum is.

I've never done drugs and never will. But I do think it should be legalized for practical reasons. Basically drive out dangerous drug dealers out of business. Think of how much better life would be if we just took out drug dealers out of business, and all the bad things they bring.

Re: Giving Eth To Receive Eth Scam

I receive a lot of scam phone call from people in India, Pakistan, those areas where the laws are not to strick on running such telephone scams.

I normally don't pick up, wonder why they keep calling, and imagine that they don't make any money at all, whatsoever. But I've been reading a lot on it, and it's very profitable. Apparently a lot of elderly people fall for such scams. Scam of, send us $1,000 so that we can send you $10,000.
