bitcoin is regulated only when dumped or exchanged for fiat otherwise it is not really regulated in any place, because it's not really possible

you can try circle or localbitcoin, if you have problem buying or selling

When I said regulated I actually meant taking away the anonymity of buying coins. Everything is traceable now which might bother some people.

Any Australian buyers out there......

So it seems bitcoin is becoming strictly regulated by Australian authorities but I suppose this was expected sooner or later.

A few months ago I could walk into a bank branch, make an anonymous deposit and my coins would be in my wallet within an hour or two.

That exchange has now been closed.

So i moved on to another exchange that requires a proper registration, ID verification etc but no worries. Went through with that because I had to.

That same exchange has since ceased over the counter bank deposits and now I have to wire money from my bank account which has delayed the process by 24 hours at least.

It has now been 26 hours since I wired the money and the status of my order is still "processing". The f**kers aren't replying to emails and their phone number goes to a recording.

I checked their Facebook page and there are quite a few pissed off customers. People experiencing pathetic customer service like I have today and yesterday.

I read a few weeks ago that there were something like 13 exchanges in Australia and now there are only 3. Don't quote me on these numbers though.

What used to take about 2 hours is now taking 2 days which is far too long.

What's everyone else doing? Can anyone recommend any good exchanges that don't screw their customers around?
