Re: When will the USA pay their debts, if ever?
by

Never, the only way the government could pay it off in a traditional sense is if they somehow tax [current level of debt] out of the us citizens. That I think will not happen, so they will either default or hyper inflate their debt away.

Some of you guys need to learn how to read. He didn't say that it would happen in the next 6 months, he said at some point we are going to have a bubble in which will last a whole 6 months and that in the aftermath, 10% of the worlds wealth will have been put into bitcoin.

Personally I think so, and here was a article I read that describes it a little bit. http://nakamotoinstitute.org/mempool/hyperbitcoinization/

Maybe some of you will remember back in the 80's or 90's there was a movie about a hacker that had been steeling small fractions of a cent from every bank transaction somewhere out west. Said hacker ended up making 100's of millions of dollars before getting caught or fleeing to some tropical paradise. Well it went something like that anyways can't quite remember the exact details.

Office Space? Definitely a good movie  Grin

Well anyway, so if you include the dust, that would be...what... 1.1% fee per buy/sell rather than their 1% official charge? That is still not a bad fee amount.

Re: A question to anyone who still doubts Bitcoin:

If you notice, if you mirror the boxes across the green "line" the numbers are all the same. Meaning that 1 is a possible answer as well.

soooo....

Case 1 = 9
1+2=3
2+4=6
3+6=9

Case 2 = 3
1
2>4>2
3>6>3>6>3

Case 3 = 1

2<>2
3<>3
4
6<>6
1<>1

So that means that only 4/7 are unaccounted for. Can anyone come up with reasons for why those numbers would be valid as well?

Re: Why satoshi doesn't come forward
by

It might not be the truth and only but the truth but my speculation is that he became disgusted with the community since Gavin showed it off to CIA, and become even more disgusted when he saw how twisted we are with our overly speculative, wanna-get-rich-quick-while-jerking-off mentalities and such.

My impression is that he doesn't give a single shit on any of us and more tragically even about Bitcoin. If not a prank, his recent post on not being Dorian, clearly shows he stepped forward to defend a man that was in REAL danger of being killed for his supposed wealth/ worshiped to death by the bitcoin fanatics.

Moreover, Sathoshi gave everybody the instrument, a decentralized currency but we somehow started to do it wrong (see MyBitcoin, Bitcoinica, MtGox etc)

All I see is your beliefs. How "convenient" that your impression of Satoshi does not disagree with you at all. What if Satoshi adores the get rich and speculative types? What if he stepped forward to show that he was alive and only used Dorian as an excuse.

Well if Neobee is not doomed, then it is in very bad shape. When it comes right down to it is the real problem is how this all looks to Cypriot residents. For most, this will be their first reference to bitcoin, and it will be a bad one. Definitely not good for bitcoin pr  Undecided

Re: What if countries fought each other through music instead of arms?
by
Twilight_Sparkle

Music is subjective. Who exactly would judge "best musical creations"? If you go by popular vote, then only the country with the most people would win. Yes, people would only vote on the music their own country produces.

Also, in war, often it is fighting over something. Let us choose land as an example. If in a "music rock off", lets say Russia wins vs japan. Is japan just gonna give them a part of their country? I Don't think so.

The only tragedy is that TAT was not banned after asking the mod to ban him. Teach children that throwing temper tantrums do not work.

As for the mods supposed "scam-loving", Do your own homework, if you get scammed it is your own fault, do not blame the mods for that.

Finally, It is only one website, being banned or whatever is not a big deal. There is almost always drama about this sort of thing, never understood why.

And us bitcoiners will be watching with popcorn.
I don't know about that - if banking system will fail $ is going down as well. And with $ down a bet very few people will still sell their goods for bitcoins.

You mean most will sell what is left for bitcoin/gold. Cause they will be the only money left.
