Re: DEVCOIN Facebook

I think the almoner of Devcoin should meditate on this email I just received by Ripple:

"At the end of May, we will begin a ripple (aka XRP) giveaway to everyone who signed up for our email list on or before May 9, 2013.  Tens of thousands of folks will be getting ripples!  We will be sending emails for this ripple giveaway in batches.  Everyone who is eligible will receive their giveaway email by the end of the month."

What are we waiting for? Let's give samples, a free giveway to anybody, so they will know them and will create a wallet.
There is not that great difference between XRP and Devcoin on this point: both produced in large quantity. The only difference is that are circulating more XRP in beta test then devcoin in two years of activity.

Can you send me more info on the XRP?  This is the first I've heard about it.

DAMN IT MY DVC!! WTH!!

Devcoin is now officially dead. This hack killed the currency before it could crawl.  Either we lost all our devcoins or we will sell them all immediately. I know the first thing I'm going to do if I can access my Devcoins is sell them and I'm prett sure everyone else is thinking the same after seeing this news.

I had over 100,000 Devcoins too.

i have a lil over 1M in there..smh! it better be all in there.

Since Advertising is the key why not facebook? So lets start liking the page and comment and updates and such on here so we can get this ball rolling Cheesy

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Devcoin/527245700667145

Also let me know what i can add on there...any suggestions and comments will be greatly appreciated.

The first thing Devcoin needs is a way for people to buy them with cash. If I have $100 USD, how do I buy Devcoins directly? When developers solve that then Devcoin will work.

Yea thats very true.

DVC is another alt currency that will fall into oblivion!
I don't think so.
DVC is nearly 2 years old, and more and more people are getting to know it.
Merged mining is one of its advantage. Why not get some extra coins while mining BTC? I think people would love to use merged mining as long as they know about it.
And besides the purpose of helping open source community is really charming.

True, people need to know more about it and I'm thinking of creating a Facebook Group on it so yea.  But still gather information.  But what i really think would help is that I know there are more coins then BTC, If they just gave a little more to the miners I'm sure everyone wouldn't mind merge mining.  I do think it is way to low and don't cover the electricity bill for the miners.  Just my opinion.

Idk about bytecoin seems like a real reach

It is.  I'm skeptical but at the same time $100 worth of btc ain't going to hurt.  more like a lesson learned.  and if i do take this leap then could also mean a big plus.

well its new in the market.  So i'm interested in joining something thats just starting.  A lot of people didn't have faith in the LTC and look where its at now.  ByteCoins well its at its early stages so I want to start it off with them.  Bitcoins way to late for me to join the game, im going to have to dish 6 figures just to make it turn.  just my opinion.
