To me this seems like far too much required work (in order to do it right) for way too little a return. This requires a huge amount of research. It might be interesting for posterity and the history of this technology but right now it's a niche market.

I know of a group of Libyans who may be interested in investing. On second thought, maybe you should avoid them.

Modalities of cooperation and project details are discussed by e-mail (kovalenko.maria93@gmail.com)

Thanks, but based on the only information available on your project (the thread you link to) it doesn't look like a project I would be interested in working on. Thanks for your consideration.

I could actually do this. But not for $7 worth of an unknown coin. It's several thousand dollars. Good idea though.

Re: Questions for Bounty Hunters
by

Thanks everybody for all your comments.

I've actually done about a dozen bounties myself (mostly last September to December) and have had similar experiences as the rest of you. I'm doing research for an article I'm working on, mostly on describing bounty hunting to people who are not familiar with it.

first of all forget about quick earnings. You will need to be patient for 3-5 months. If earlier 60% of the campaigns were successful (they closed their goals and went to the stock exchanges), now this figure is 40%. This means that you need to either take more campaigns into work or agree to a smaller salary.

I was wondering how the market for bounty hunters was doing compared to the end of last year. It seems like it's a different market now. It looks like it's harder to make real money doing it. Anyone doing these since years ago, like 2014-2016? I would imagine that was a Golden Age for this.

Crypto space is crowded, many scam ICO's are out in the market. One has to do thier research before signing up. Bounty payments are getting delayed due to inexperince bounty manager. I would say on an average 2-3 are good bounties out of 10.

This was my expectation and it's the experience I had. Out of 12 or so campaigns I did, 1 was really good, 3 or 4 were ok to good, and the rest paid almost nothing, or failed, or were scams.

I'm wondering if regulation by the SEC (and other government agencies) will actually make these bounty campaigns  better once the frauds are cleared out. I suppose that's what I'm looking for here - is there still a future in bounty hunting? How much do you expect it to change and in what ways?

Questions for Bounty Hunters

I'm doing some research on bounty hunting and I would like any information bounty hunters and campaign managers might be able to offer me. I'm looking for your experiences, earnings successes and failures, experiences with scams and fraudulent projects, your outlook for bounty hunting for the immediate and long term future, etc. Any posts would be appreciated and any information you offer would be held confidential. You can reply in this thread or PM if you prefer. Thanks for any help you can give me.

A few general tips for noobs doing bounties (I'm actually a noob at bounties myself):

1. Do projects that interest you or that you support. Don't try to do every campaign.

2. Look for bounties that you can do. You don't have to do everything. You can do just the Twitter bounty if you want, or you can just do Facebook. Focus on what you know you can do.

3. If you want to, look to expand your bounty hunter possibilities. If you don't have a Twitter account, open one and start to build up your followers until you have enough to do bounties. Post more on this forum until you rank up to at least Junior Member so that you can do signature campaigns. Plan ahead. Think about what options you would like to have 3 months from now or a year from now and start working toward that.

4. Read the bounty announcement - all of it. Know when the campaign starts and ends, who the campaign manager is, etc.

5. Follow the directions for signing up, submitting reports, and getting payment.

6. Submit or post your stats regularly and keep a record of what you have done and submitted.

7. Periodically check the spreadsheets for accuracy. Usually things go fine, but sometimes stats won't be updated or there may be an error. If there is a problem, ask the campaign manager to check into it.

8. Be patient. The campaign manager is busy and will update your info when they can. Post any questions in the bounty thread and wait for an answer. If you don't get a response, ask again. You can also PM the manager or ask in the bounty chat channels such as Discord, Slack, or Telegram.

9. Don't lash out at the campaign manager. If you are denied participation in the bounty, ask to fix or update the problem. If that's not possible, move on. The campaign manager has rules to follow. Getting too angry with them won't help you or anybody else.

10. Have realistic expectations. Sometimes ICO's fail, end early, or actually end up being a scam. In these circumstances, you may not get paid anything. There's usually nobody to complain to. Don't get mad. Move on.

11. It may take a few weeks before you are paid. They will usually give you a time frame, either in the bounty announcement or it may be announced at the end of the campaign.

I'm sure there is more, but these are at least the basics for doing some work as a bounty hunter. Enjoy, and good luck!

Any word from Mercatox? I bought a lot of Notes there the other day I would like to finish transferring to the vault. Stuff like this is frustrating with these smaller exchanges but, growing pains I suspect...

Agreed, I did get an email from my connection a few minutes ago. They asked me to direct people to open support tickets, I suspect they are business ops somewhat disconnected from the rest of the operations.

I'll do that. We are down 15% already since this started...

1412 EST Ticket has been submitted

We are so sorry about the inconveniences this is already causing. We do hope the ongoing maintenance will be concluded in no time. Please bear with us. Thank you for reaching us!

I had a withdrawal problem and received about the same response from Murray. They did respond quickly enough but didn't give me any real information. At least they responded. I long for the day when we can raise the bar on expectations in crypto.

I'm finding Mercatox to be a rather enjoyable exchange to use. Not too cluttered, easy to navigate, not overly complicated. Processing seems to be fairly quick as well. What does everyone else think about them?

It's OK, though it has some glitches. Sometimes I get the impression I'm not seeing all the orders and they don't necessarily fill in a logical order. For the first time, today I have a DNotes withdrawal that has been stuck for hours. Support has been responsive, though haven't yet resolved the issue. I'm also waiting ten days now to get verified so I can withdraw more than 0.5 BTC every 24 hours.

Exactly what I've been thinking. Far too often I'm seeing orders go through that I can't really explain. It makes me think I'm not seeing them all and I don't have a good explanation why not.

Other than that, it's been enjoyable so far.
