Re: Is it legal to sell bitcoin for cash ?
by

This is actually depends on the regulation of the country. In my country, Philippines, the regulation is not strict and the government even stated that they want to support Bitcoin as they see at as a contribution in the development of the economy of the country. However, in countries like China, the regulations are now strict. If I am not mistake, any cryptocurrency transactions is now prohibited by the government.

Re: Dark use of Bitcoin

I am not using Bitcoin for "Dark Use" or illegal transactions. I am more of an investor and doing signature campaigns to get some extra money to spend in my expenses. But Bitcoin is actually being used for it. This is because the idea of Bitcoin with anonymous transactions is an opportunity for them. This is also why the government is trying to regulate Bitcoin. Some countries even banned it already and the same reason that shut down Bitcoin companies for trading.

Re: Why Always Bitcoin?

I still do not understand the current obsession with regulating Bitcoin. They claim it's to help put an end to online money laundering and other cyber crimes but why aren't they equally obsessed about Fiat?

What if there are hidden agendas, like phasing out paper currencies, forcefully uniting all countries and handover control to more evil entity?
I have some paper money on me that I can EASILY use to buy some harmful drugs and weapons yet no Northkorea-like government is monitoring how I spend this money. A responsible government would rather be where the stuff are purchased and help solving crimes. Trying hard to Police everything (without caring a bit about the word "privacy") is a sign of desperation & tyranny.
I learned they are working hard to phase out cash for their cashless agenda. I bet over 70% of World governments will adopt the cashless thing too.

I have never used a Debit card online not that I don't understand it .. it instead doesn't feel safe to me.  My adoption of online currency started when I discovered Bitcoin. Bitcoin/Blockchain is the only thing that makes sense & feels natural to me.  Wonder why they are now trying hard to rewrite Bitcoin with some rogue codes.

I agree to this 100%. The government is sort of blaming Bitcoin because of the crimes and illegal transactions happening. But they do not know is that those transactions were done through fiat money as well. And also I doubt that these criminals will stop doing their illegal activities when Bitcoin is banned. Even when Bitcoin was not yet existing, the illegal activities which is mostly drug transactions has already been going viral. And money laundering is also present in other investments like real estate and banks but they do not blame those investments. What they should do is to get those criminals instead of focusing on getting rid of Bitcoin.

Re: When will the Bitcoin bubble burst?
by

When do you feel the Bitcoin bubble will burst and what will happen after?
The rise, decline, rise further pattern- when will it go down and never come up?

I am not sure if Bitcoin is the same with other investment instruments that had bubble burst events because of price ceiling. Bitcoin is an unusual investment. It is very volatile and very predictable. But it there is a price ceiling, then it may be the reason of a bubble burst of Bitcoin price. This will happen if the Bitcoin price has reached it's limit and people will then panic sell their Bitcoins dragging down the demand and price of it.

as you know, the price of btc is down slowly.and, the market cap is also down slowly.
so many shit ico, they just want money.develop a shit app or develop nothin, just want your money.
the projects which can't change the world or change the technology of blockchain are all shit.
Winter is coming,we should sleep in day and night. wait 2019.

I like how you relate two good things in one topic, Game of Thrones and Bitcoins.

But moving on, I get your analysis and we must be alarmed with this. Bitcoin has been doing good lately in overall but there will be a time that it might go down. In times like this, instead of panic selling, we must take take this as an opportunity to buy more. Especially now we know that it can go high.

I will not say unstoppable. But Bitcoin is really performing well now stable in it's high price that was reached for the past 5 years. But someday, if some negative big factor will come, it will really bring down the price.

When it comes to short term investment, you need to be alert and to always look at the market of the investment instrument. Example for this are foreign exchange, which also similar with the trading of Bitcoin. In stocks, short term investments are the companies like mining. Where in the stock price is volatile because of different external factors.

Passive income is the best way to have financial stability. Having passive income means you are earning money to cover for you expenses without working on a regular job. Your investment is the one working for you. Your money is working to have more money.

I am not yet holding Bitcoins as I am planning to join signature campaigns soon when I get the chance to be accepted in one. But in my opinion, it is better to hold on to Bitcoins now unless there will be a big factor that will really bring down the Bitcoin price.

I agree. Here in my country, they really do not pay attention to Bitcoin not knowing that they can even earn from it by joining signature campaigns. Maybe because many are still doubting that Bitcoin is a success. Or maybe also people are scared of it.

by

Wow I would like to try this some time! However now, I think this must have been hard given that not everyone are familiar with Bitcoins. Which means that a lot of stores, especially in countries that do not accept yet totally Bitcoin, are not accepting Bitcoins as payments. Maybe in the future there will be the time that majority or all stores will be open and willing to accept Bitcoin payments.

Re: How do you value Bitcoin ?
by

on 03/10/2017, 05:04:25 UTC
I value Bitcoin as an extra income for me to spend on my wants. My regular salary in my job provides for my needs and the rest will be my savings to buy other investments. And what I earn in Bitcoin by joining signature campaigns is what I spend for the wants or things I want to buy but not part of my needs.

It depends on you Bitcoin wallet system. Some are transacted within the day but some are within 3 business days. In my opinion, the transaction for now is really slow given that Bitcoin is cryptocurrency it is supposed to be transacted more easily than the regular currencies.

Re: Was Bitcoin actually just a Pump and Dump?
by
Uberzugzug
on 03/10/2017, 04:57:51 UTC
I don't have any doubt that this was all just big pump and dump, but my theory is, even the BTC creators didn't realize that Bitcoin would go this far.

I agree to this. Basically no one can actually tell if Bitcoin will go up and down. But just like stock prices or even in forex. It is possible that the price will stay stable or even go up. Yes it may go down in some time but it will not drop price as be a dump.
