i dont understand whats the problem with this coin?? its dying slowly more and more..we soon gonna see the price till 1 satoshi per ultracoin...marketcap keeps going down further and more..where is the future we have been promised by devs??where are the glorious days of ultracoin when prices was there when it belongs for this coin to be..i now realised that the coin is not going to survive only with the 6 seconds transaction moto...all i see is that none has anymore interest on ultracoin...it looks like its another ordinery altcoin with not anymore innovation and only with some 1-2 movements by individuals like rapture and the new multipool guy trying to save what ever they can...im really concerned if this coin is going to be traded anymore by any other trader neither anyone is going to buy ultracoin anymore....by the way did bumface let the team and the coin once and forever???

I am buying, trading and mining all the way down  Grin With the new team it will have great success !

I was going to send some coins to another wallet and it gave me an error about that the coins was spent but not in the wallet.dat or similar. Now in my wallet it shows minus my coins but it's not being broadcasted on the network. I sent a small amount first for testing and it worked without any problems. What can I do about this? Anyone who had this problem before? Have I lost the coins?

Transaction ID is 092c43772b19a3e7db93315f6b8e18403d2320e5a44ef94ce0830ce52e6ef430.

EDIT: I used the debug console and fixed it. Had me sweating there for a while  Grin

Leaving a wallet open 24/7 costs more electricity (and CPU power, more on this later) but also make you benefit more from compounded interest (interests adding to capital so that next time capital to base interest upon will be bigger - in a bank, you compound your interest once an year, in crypto, at the end of each period, so every twenty days for Mintcoin). If you received all of your coins in just one big transaction, you could just stick to open wallet at every stake period and this is it. You receive your coins, and they count for the next stake. But if you received them in several parts (99% of users) there are end-of-period occuring a lot and so opportunity for compounding interests occuring a lot (in other words, "it's every day twenty days"). By just opening you wallet every 20 days, you are actually losing compounded interest. Notice that with compounded interest, you should achieve more than 20% interest on Mintcoin (at the cost of electricity, though and less CPU-mining power, though). It is not worth it if you don't have a lot of coin (except if you don't pay for your electricity).
Beware though: the multiplication of the end-of-period generates "dust", something similar to fragmentation on a disk. This won't increase the size of your wallet, but it will require more CPU power. You may end up with 100% CPU usage. Raspberry or VPS are ways to mitigate this. Another way is to resort to "spring cleaning": every once in a while, you move all your coin to another wallet; you sacrifice every coin age to get back to a normal level of CPU usage. Heartbreaking.

I just found the reason why my laptop battery un-charges so quickly. Thanks for the heads up!

Thankyou for the quick reply. I have read the previous messgage and tbh it is a very vauge and understated e-mail / exscuse. But never mind. I will give you guys a little more info. The pool will up and runnig for beta this weekend. More details on that over our inital testing. I myself mined UTC from day one. But myself and paul ( business partner ) decided to sell most of our farm and we have concentrated solely on sha 256 asic machines and built it up at a steady and strong pace.we are now in a position allthough new members to bitcointalk we are not new to the crypto scene to help in the efforts of UTC, and help it to achieve its full potential. Our site tba will to start with not be the prettiest as we have worked on the backend more than front of shop :-) but it does what it says on the tin. We are also in the process of having it setup to auto payout unlike the cryptotrain pool that was done manually and at irregular times. We are aiming from the getgo to have a fully automated system. We will be following cryptotrains mehod to start with and having a ZERO pool fee, but wr have discussed and the maximum this will ever increase to will be 1.5% and one more thing we have started to discuss is the possibility of people donating as it does happen. If our miners start to do this we will eneter the donating miners into a sweepstake every week/fortnight/month whatever we think is best to win the pot. We are all here to make money but at the samr time we ALL can give a little something extra and this is our way :-)

Thanks craig (bigd)

This is great news !!!  Grin

Hello everyone,

I would just like to commend rapture333 for all the great work he has thus far achieved to assist UTC, in all departments, I feel his commitment is second to none, and I admire his communication style and dedication, I just visited the new UTC forum, and it looks and feels fresh and open, an excellent foundation for all.

I am convinced he is right about the community using the official site more.

Fantastic work, rapture333.

Many thanks.

+1!

Oh here we go again! I wasn't criticising anyone! And I do 100 times more than you and own 200 times more UTC than you. Before u start criticising me look at my past threads. I was just point out a great point someone on another thread had made and felt it was a good read and relevant in this current crypto climate to share.

I think Rapture/Steven has been doing a good job the last week (Keep it up  Smiley), but I think the post is valid and informational, just as funsponge said from the beginning  Grin

I have taken Cryptoholic11 words from another thread but they are relevant so want to share them with you all;

------------

"
As investor in this coin, I have say this, and it might not sit well with a few people but oh well. With an ever increasing competitive altcoin scene, its imperative that development stays fast and updates remain frequent.

Why: because when devs stay silent, even if they are legit, the price and volume tank. And the more they tank, the harder it is to rebound, regardless of future releases. So protecting the price and volume through constant updates is extremely necessary especially in the beginning phases. So I would urge devs to give updates more frequently, and be more specific and less vague. And anybody who wants to argue that Microsoft took 10 years to develop windows, should re-evaluate that argument. Cryptos (for now at least) work much differently, and even a week of inactivity would spell disaster.

People always want to dump their holdings and go catch the flavor of the week. In order to stay ahead of the curve, frequent updates, and more importantly a speedy development while keeping the community and investors informed during the process is important. This will keep the volume and price stable, which is important. I cant stress that enough. Yea some hype could be considered unethical, but in the current altcoin scene, its necessary to keep the exposure. Some developers go their way with developing the features, and stay quiet, killing the price and volume. And when they do finally release it, the coin barely sees any movement, because they never established themselves as a major coin to begin with. Only established altcoin devs can stay quiet for a reasonable long period of time without suffering the consequences. Examples of these established alts would be DRK, XC, VRC, CLOAK. All other alts are fucked if the devs are not constantly active and steadfast."

------------

Im not saying your new Devs are dead quiet but wanted to stress the importance of daily activity and involvement

To all about the Multipool.

We just get today an message of the administrator of the multipool, Hayden,
from his message we can read he is not able to manage the multipool for longtime.

Please read the message below from Hayden ;

"....Hi All, Sorry about the delayed contact. The Army has just called me and I am now on an Aeroplane and will not be returning home for a few months. Sorry about this, it was unplanned. I will not be able to administer the multipool at all anymore. If you leave a message here I will try to get back to it when I get time but time in the army just doesnt exist...."

This means that i advice everybody to stop directly mining at the multipool and start mining at our UTC POOLS or even at NITRO2.

Remember in this how important it is to spread the hash among the pools !!!!

If we have more info we let you now a.s.a.p. !

This is probably the lamest excuse I have seen ever.
The guy is just laughing at people here.

One week of mining. Gone. Well done chaps... I am very patient and understanding but this is very bad. How could I ever recommend mining this coin to anyone? Stability is key, consistency is key and openness is key. Do we have any of those right now? I hope we can all together turn this around.

I have not receieve multipool payouts since the 10th, is anyone else having this problem?

Update (NVM just read the announcement):

PLEASE NOTE:
Payouts are on their way to becomming normalised. We have paid the backlog of the last few days and will hopefully maintain a normal payout routine now.

I have the same problem, no payout since the 10th. That note has been there for a while. They post it after last problem with payouts.

Yep no payouts for a while, I trust them, they usually pull through  Smiley

and how can you know they dont have 200 of 240 mh/s in there?
Please don't insult my intelligence. There are only 12 X11 miners there now with highest hashrate of 54MH/s out of 240MH/s. You want us to believe they are there with 11 or 12 different wallet addresses. That would mean they are the only ones there. You need to do a little homework before you make yourself look any more clueless than you already have. I've supported this coin from day 1 but now I'm done. I sold off half my bag at 9000-8000. I will now unload the other half. Good luck, you're going to need lots of it.

I am actually very surprised that I am constantly top 10 hashers on the multipool, my rig is quite modest  Roll Eyes

Can I suggest that the multipool buys up UTC every 8 hours instead of every 24 hours. The huge jump in value is causing huge dumps due to the big price swing. Smaller buys more often would be more beneficial. I don't know if that is possible but would be great if it could

I have been thinking along the same line. Buying at irregular/Secret times might help prevent allot of dumping. Though I'm no expert and are pretty happy how it is working right now  Grin
