We lost a lot of our heard earned money when Hashocean disappeared. At the time our investment was not worth much but I'm sure combined amount of money they ran away with is now few billions atleast!

At the time I'm sure some people even put their whole life savings into Hashocean, I'm very sorry for you.

So it seems like it is easily possible to have 50 Antminer S9 in the UK as long as the building has 3 phase power supply, cost of setting it all up is around £5k from a qualified electrician and you will also need extractor fitted for heat to leave the building and louvre for air to come in which is another £5k.

So to run 50 Antminer S9, here is a simple process! It is definitely not as complicated as people have made it out to be!!

You will need:

1) Order 50 x Antminer S9
2) Order 50 x PSU
3) Rent an Industrial Unit with 3 phase supply
4) Order Shelves to house the miners (you don't need anything fancy or expensive believe me!)
5) Get an Electrician to install sockets / upgrade Fuseboard
6) Get an electrician to fit extractor and louvre
7) Wait for your Machines
Plug them in and setup
9) Wait for them to mine
10) Enjoy!

It might be cheaper to have multiple units than paying to get supply head upgraded.

Unless you can get an old factory for quite a cheap rent that has high supply already in place.

Hi all,

I'm looking to raise £1m to build mining farm in the UK.

My total investment so far is I have 27 Antminer S9 and 5 L3+ running already and I have on order 30 Antminer S9 for January batch and I'm looking to also order around 100 Antminer S9 when Bitmain announce March batch.

I know the cost of electricity is higher in the UK than in most countries close by even for example (Iceland!) I still think investors would be comfortable knowing the mining farm is based in the UK.

£1m would buy roughly around 600 S9's + cost of PSU's if price goes up to around $1600 way

What are your thoughts guys?

I agree it's a lot of power but it should also be possible to have 100 Antminer S9 without having to spend too much on electrician if you get what I mean right? I'm sure fellow miners will have some ideas on how to minimise cost.

I was wondering how I would power 100 Antminer S9, I have 3 phase power supply so that would mean 300 amps only.

But my guess is Antminer S9's official PSU's draw 6amp but says on the PSU 10amp max so that would mean I would be 100 * 10 = 1000 amps.

Can anyone suggest what would be the best way to go about this?

I’m confused with how to power 100 x Antminer S9’s, I have 3 phase power supply.

My understanding is that 3 phase supply means 300 amps supply and each miner draw maximum 10amps, does this mean I can only power 30 miners?

Is there a solution to be able to power 100 or more where the supply is only 3 phase 300 amps?
