Re: What are some disadvantages of BTC?
by
Unilevear
on 21/01/2018, 11:53:06 UTC
The disadvantage of bitcoin is its transaction time. We are paying for a huge transaction fee now but the transaction time keeps on increasing. I know that lightning network is not a thing and probably not going to be a thing in the next couple of years but this doesn't change the fact that both the transaction time and fee of bitcoin is its disadvantage. It's still cheap compared to other ways of sending money, though. As day goes by, this disadvantage keeps on getting worse and worse.

Another disadvantage is the community where everyone is trying to pull each other down. I think it is limiting our growth since we do grow by supporting each other and not by competition. We should help each other instead of spreading FUD or promoting things for the benefits of no one but ourselves.

Re: How do you store your bitcoins?

To have maximum security and to be able to participate in forks (or simply receive the fork coins like BTG), I use Electrum. Beginners should be aware that online wallets don't really give out the tokens that you should receive. Just recently BTG was released and online wallet sites are surely having the time of their lives. That's a lot of money and they never care to give it to the user that deserves it. Regardless, you can avoid this by putting most of your coins in an electrum wallet. Plus, online wallets might run away. I know that they most probably wouldn't do that because they are making good money from the website but still we can't dismiss the possibility of it happening.

Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin?
by
Unilevear
on 09/12/2017, 12:24:05 UTC
Nothing has to be done to these people. They should be left alone and let them discover the importance of bitcoin by their own. I want to say that you're just wasting your time if you're going to lecture every single people who don't like bitcoin. People have their own perspective about things. Our thinking is affected by a lot of things like our experiences, our knowledge, and also what we heard from other people. We tend to believe others and disbelieve others just because they are who they are.

Chasing the people who dislike bitcoin would not matter much because bitcoin will be adopted by everyone anyway in the future. So even the guys who hate bitcoin the most would have to adjust their belief about it and let themselves enlightened because otherwise they will be missing out.

Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.?
by
Unilevear
on 14/11/2017, 20:47:20 UTC
Honestly I think TV ads is a pretty bad idea, firstly someone has to pay for them and second to that they just really aren't all that effective as it is so difficult to accurately target people. Targeted ads by facebook etc are far more effective but thankfully we already have the exchanges doing that for us in a way.
I disagree, if ever advertising bitcoin in T.V will come true, then it is more likely to be of equal effective than advertising in social media. There are lots of people who are fond of watching T.V too and it is a good way to spread some awareness to them about cryptocurrencies. We don't need to pay for the advertisements, we can just have a segment about it on different shows right?

Yes, and this is the reason why digital currencies have a huge role to play in the future in our financial system. The freedom that it offers us is something that we always wanted. Free from banks, governments and other entities that are always trying to take control all of our transactions. We are being neglected on the things we want to do because we are worried that we are doing something that it could put us in danger.

Sad to know I cannot participate in the campaign. I want to try also coukd you please leave some slots for Members likes us, thanks for the consideration.
Yeah, it is really hard for lower ranks like us because most of the bitcoin campaigns that are emerging require Full Member and up to join. But we still have a good chance to see a campaign where they also accept Members. If you really want to join in upcoming campaigns hoping that they would accept Members, you should always check this board every minute if you can because you never know when a new signature campaign is about to be posted.

Ive been wrong that i withdraw all my earnings on trading ..
i learned that ..must have patience in holding then exchanging it times 10 from the day I bought my alts..
hmm .. too bad for me now bitcoins is still aiming high ..
Well as the saying goes "Patience is a Virtue", it's a key  principle in our bitcoin life. We should not be easily get carried away if we see the alt that we bought got a little increase in price in the market. I guess now you learned your lesson and will use this for your future trades. Don't worry because we all made some mistakes in our bitcoin.

I am a newbie to crypto field.I want to now some crypto trading tips.can you help me
I'm still new to crypto trading but I've acquired some trading tips that I can share to you. First, don't listen to others who just feels like they know everything they are talking because they don't! They just want to spread and say non sense things. Second, trust the devs becuase they are the one who really knows the score in their tokens. Lastly, control your emotions, don't get easily carried away.

The one thing that I loved in bitcoin is the hassle-free transactions where you can purchase things online or send bitcoin/money to someone without any third party entity to interfere or track our transactions. The decentralization and the blockchain technology is a great feature of bitcoin that we know for a fact will have a major role in our future.

Re: how can bitcoin help the community?
by

Bitcoin is promising currency, but somehow because of it's volatile value. How can bitcoin help the community? especially the 3rd world country.
Even though bitcoin is unstable and we can't do anything about its volatility, it could still help a lot of us in different ways. Bitcoin can give some of us with no job a source of income while they are still finding a new job. It could also make our online transactions easier like if we want to send money to our relatives, we can send equivalent bitcoin, wallet to wallet faster and with no transaction fee. These are just a few things that I could think of on how bitcoin can help our community.

Re: Let's make Bitcoin's Price Higher
by
Unilevear
on 14/11/2017, 06:33:27 UTC
There is actually a lot of factors that influence the price of bitcoin like as we all know the supply and demand. If there will a high demand for bitcoin and there will less supply meaning a few users sell their bitcoin, this often leads to the increase in bitcoin's price. Another is big merchants accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment, this is another major factor that influences the price of bitcoin significantly. There are still a lot of factors that make a difference in bitcoin.

Re: $10.000 = 1BTC on New Year?
by
Unilevear
on 13/11/2017, 17:38:02 UTC
It is possible, we could reach the $10,000 mark. Seeing how the price of bitcoin is going. But it is still too soon to predict those kinds of things. There are still many things that could happen along the way that could change the price of bitcoin or trigger another dump but if this goes on, I'm predicting we will reach $9000 mark before the new year.

Re: Would a global disaster increase or decrease the Bitcoin value ?
by
Unilevear
on 13/11/2017, 16:04:37 UTC
It can't affect the value of bitcoin. Even if there will be any natural phenomena to occur (Hoping it won't happen) because bitcoin's price still relies on how the people frequently use it. If there will be a big war to happen, it will still rely on the usage like merchants who accept bitcoin, miners or people who cashes-out to pay bills or for personal needs and etc. There are a lot of factors that affect the price of bitcoin in the market but I just don't think that the disasters you stated will have any affect on it.

Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ?
by
Unilevear
on 13/11/2017, 14:44:51 UTC
I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.
Hard to say but if you ask me, the risk in bitcoin if you are gonna invest is that you don't know how will its price go in the future.
Bitcoin price always decreases and it also increases depending on a lot of factors affecting it. To know if this is the right time to buy bitcoin, look at its market trend and see if its price graph is declining, that would be the best time to buy bitcoin when its price is low.

Re: At what price are you going to start buying bitcoin again?
by
Unilevear
on 13/11/2017, 13:14:54 UTC
I'm still thinking on how low I should buy-in again. But maybe if it could go as low as $4000 again I will start buying again. I've converted bitcoin to my local currency when it is still around $5000 so I should buy at a lower price so that I could maximize my gain. Let's just see how far the price of bitcoin will go, there maybe a change of plan if something happen along the way.

Re: Why do we keep converting bitcoin back to dollars ?
by
Unilevear
on 13/11/2017, 07:55:45 UTC
It's almost like we don't value it for itself, but what it's worth in "real" money.
It's a strategy, if we bought bitcoin a low price we will try to hold it as long as we could until it reaches a high price and when it is starting to fall down again, we simply convert it to our local currency so that we can keep the gain we had. Then again, we wait for lowest price bitcoin can reach during the dump then we will convert again to bitcoin. It's a cycle that all of us are doing to keep gaining profits from bitcoin.

Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic
by
Unilevear
on 13/11/2017, 06:55:51 UTC
For me, it is better to be a smart person that being a strategic one. It feels like if you are smart, you can also be strategic because you can think of ways that will be beneficial for you in the long run. If you are not smart enough, you can't think of a good plan with your money. Handling money is a very hard thing to do, you need to wise with using it, you just can't spend on everything you want if you want to be successful.

Do you think the bitcoin price will come back?
Of course! you don't need to worry about the price of bitcoin now. This is not the first time that this happened.  There are many occurrences wherein the price of bitcoin declined/dumped then after some time it made its comeback higher than ever. So we will be expecting bitcoin to reach $10000 or higher when it made its comeback.

Re: What do you prefer at this time, invest in mining rig or just buy bitcoin?
by
Unilevear
on 13/11/2017, 04:40:39 UTC
We know the setup for mining a bitcoin will cost you a lot now, so do you think instead of buying a setup just use the fund to directly buy bitcoin?
For me, there is a lot of things to consider if you are mining bitcoin like electricity, time and maintenance, device cost and hash rate. If you can afford these things then you can try mining but it is really hard to do so and it also depends on the country you live in. Some country's electricity cost is low and some are very costly. I would suggest to you that you think about these things but for me honestly, I much prefer buying bitcoin than mining.

Re: The reason why I hate BITCOIN
by
Unilevear
on 12/11/2017, 18:45:18 UTC
Not selfish dear, I strongly think altcoin should be given their chance to prove their Worth
Yes, many of us are has given chances for altcoins, but most of the tokens we get are so undervalued, sometimes it gets easily dumped so it is a waste of investment. Unlike bitcoin where you could be assured that you will get your ROI and with a bigger profit in the long run than altcoins like you said it would. If you have been an early adopter of bitcoin, I think you will have a different perspective about altcoins and bitcoin.
