Can't believe devs are still trying to pull that "charity" stunt... Dude, just premine and that's it, you'd have saved people a lot of time and money
It's not for charity. It will be used for a contest and some future development. The problem with a single premine is that people get scared of a dump as soon as it gets in an exchange.

My wallet shows 0.3 diff, cryptoday shows 0.6
Wallet has some hidden "pay dev foundation" address stuff in.

Maximum of 10 million coins?
PoW has a hardcoded limit of 100k blocks. But it will probably stop before. The stop probability will start at block 10k and then increases each 4k blocks.

if it's trully random how will the network agree to it ?
Random with seed based on the previous block hash. That's not truly random but as you said true randomness would not allow network agreement.
