Hello everyone...I'm Alive! When I get home tonight I'm going to package up the new Paper Wallets and post a download link for testing. The art isn't done yet but the it's close enough to test with. I got some new software and scrapped the original design....Well more like Reworked the original design. I'm sorry I haven't been more active lately...My mother has been in the Hospital the last month and a half and it was not looking good for a while there. she is doing better now!! The chain is looking good!

Thank you for the GPU numbers!! Very interesting stuff!

As for exchanges we are looking at some bigger ones...I hope to know more in a week.

I have been a little preoccupied the last couple weeks with some Family matters...I'm still working on the coin...I hope to have test Certificates ready soon!! I would like to hear how the android wallets are working!!

Ive reviewed your website but there is no road map or anything that would tell anyone what the token is used for.
The coin is part community driven and the author/developer has a very interesting opinion against false promises.

For that reason, no roadmap with goals exists and neither will it exist. A good example is the Android wallet and the upcoming fork. Both are direct results of the rather single approach of Uranium-X; a fair and collectable CPU coin for the community.

The Android wallet was a request from the community and is (in part) realized by the community, both in funding and development. The upcoming fork is in open debate for the same reason. The concept of a GPU-miner (even when in all fairness the GPU-mining possibility isn't favoured at this point) started the "we will fork" discussion.

From that perspective, a roadmap is nonsense and a strategy is more important. Hell, it's almost better than most small businesses, we have a vision and we're working according that vs. the "this looks pretty and has 'achievable goals' let's run with this until the next pretty picture" (can you tell what annoys me at work?).

Well, then whats the strategy and or vision? fair question from someone holding this token.

Also, GPU mining i s much more efficient. My GTX 1080 smashes the pool, in comparison to any CPU. i had 12 CPUs hitting the pool with 8 to 16 cores each at a combined 55KH/s. The GTX 1080 hits at 30KH/s alone. So it does the work of around 75% of my running CPU miners. Just sayin. When i pair it with a GTX 1050ti and a Quadro 2200K 4GB i i out perform all CPus running.

You could argue that the power consumption on the cards outweighs the power used by the CPUs, however i mine via my data center so i dont pay for power. In my case, GPU makes more sense. If i use the CPuU and GPU at the same time i can grab a few coins a day, however i blew a fuse in my rack last time so its just gpu now :-) Data center manager was not happy!

WOW you have a very cool Manager!!! And a nice job too....Got to love Free Power!!!

So what is the hash rate of each card? very interested to know?

when it comes to CPU's I find that old and new I5's and I7's can be nice to mine with...especially if you are trying to save power using a laptop or sff.

Wow this is a pretty cool discussion!! I am very interested to hear more GPU mining specs....Please post if you are GPU mining. I have never GPU mined so I don't really know what kind of power consumption is used. I have an older Laptop getting around 2.5 Khs....It's using very little power...around 100 watts maybe? the laptop cost around $125. Ultimately I want the coin to be CPU only...That's how I got started in Crypto and almost everyone has access to an old computer or notebook that can mine URX.

So far even with the GPU's...My laptop is still mining the same amount of URX as it was before the GPU's. just my observation.

I have concave 35mm fd and a bunch of takumar and Russian lenses as well - so radioactive Cheesy
On some lens by exposing it to a led light for days, or directly to the sun you can remove the yellow cast, there are many tutorials.

Sony A7 FF user here with more than 150 vintage lenses  Cool

Those Russian Lenses are Very Fine!!! I really like the Mir's

I would like to get my hands on a full frame digital like the A7....Got a couple micro 4/3 cameras and a bunch of film cameras with 80 year old film on ICE!!!

Just got off of a 4 day FLU Vacay!! still feel like ass but I can function at least...working on bigger exchange that is CoinMarketCap approved!! Let you all no more when i do!

well it is a surprise, you will see next week  Grin Roll Eyes

I heard dev bought some real uranium and since now it will be asset backed cryptocurrency...

LOL...You're funny man!! I do however have some fine Takumar Lenses from the late 60's and eary 70's that have become technically Radioactive!! Nothing dangerous...They just put a slight yellow cast on everything. I like the look so I haven't gone through the steps to deactivate them.

Can Unitus (UIS) be mined in merged mode with this coin at any pool?
I don't believe it can...But I could be wrong.

I regret to inform everyone that Safe trade was compromised on January 11, 2019...I'm not sure yet what the extent of the damage is and what it means for the future of Safe Trade. I wish them the best and hope they are able to get up and going again. I will let you know more when I know more!! I'm going to apply to a couple more exchanges in the meantime and try and get UraniumX Trading again ASAP!

Ive just mined a block mining solo on my AMD a6-6400k CPU ...  After about 3 hours...

Does it mean the whole network hashrate is low and weak ?

The coin has a low supply so the block times aren't as fast as some higher supply coins, which is a good thing in a way as it could keep the price high. I would just mine on a pool for a steady payout directly to wallet. As you can see on the ANN page is say's something like 230,000+ mined over 70 years, so the block times are going to be slow. I've been mining at like 30KHs hash rate and after about a 5 days and only got about 2 URX. I just hope people keep the price high because for all this work i would hate to see the coin go down in value for being this rare. Not to mention all the mining time you have to put in just to get a couple coins. 30Khs is kind of high for this algo and it puts in a lot of work.

Just out of curiosity how high of a hash rate do you get with your AMD processor? I've been mining with two servers using 16 core Xeon processors with AVX2 getting that 30KHs.

I don't even know the hashrate cause i mine straight in wallet (setgenerate command).

BTW.   Claiming 70 years as mining period is quite funny ... I bet Uranium X will not exist . Just imigagine how the world can change in 70 years.  Many years ago a newspaper in New York calimed that due to increasing horses on the street there will be over 1 meter of horse shit on streets in the future ... Today insteas of tons of horseshit there plenty of cars and now the direction is  to electric cars... So its very hard plannig forward for 70 years...

Another thing with low supply currencies is the problem that they are hard to spend at reasonable price.
I was reading somewhere that a man who owned some coin called Aurum (or something like that , anyway coin with low supply) caused price crash when he tried to sell them. The low supply is easy to manipulate the price cause very few people owns it..

Im mining it just for fun and to learn something new.

If you are mining out of the wallet then you can use the same command prompt and type getmininginfo and it will let you know your hashrate. It's hard to say if any crypto will exist in 10 years...it really comes down to the Governments and the Host providers...as long as it's legal I think it has a chance. I see Crypto more as a geek collectible like Baseball cards or comic books but made with zeros and ones. Bitcoin is also susceptible to a major dump in the market...All coins are really...Bitcoin has some large wallets out there and for some of those wallets to dump 1% of thier holdings in that wallet could drop the price a decent amount.

URX  Has a great Community and a Growing team of people working to make it Awesome. one of the main goals for 2019 is to make UraniumX as user friendly as possible! I want the everyday person be able to watch a couple short videos and start mining with an old computer they have laying around. I would love to see an army of laptops and older desktops protecting the network!

Thank you for your Observations and for Mining UraniumX!! I hope you have fun!

Do you intend to take this coin into other small exchanges?

I have been checking out some small to mid sized exchanges as well as some bigger exchanges. safe Trade is a good Smaller exchange that is growing! and some of the other exchanges I have looked at are growing nicely as well. Since we have a solid exchange now we can be more cautious in the next exchange we choose to apply to.
