Dude are you on an Rpi? Cause i can link you to a precompiled qt5.3.1 that works perfectly with reps (just missing a few ones but you can get them from jessie).
Btw spots i've compiled the qt5 wallet and that exchange tab is really nice

Since the community stepped in, there should definitely be something to it! But it is rather hard to deal with something slowly dying off... but lets not rush things maybe it will work itself
I am trading them, on the down side, so i only secure the dollar value in them bitcoins, and still hodl after all it went to 1k could go back to .5k as well so nobody knows when the next wave will strike
