Re: Is it safe to recieve GIST tokens?
by

on 22/12/2021, 20:23:17 UTC

I am confused why someone advised you that way inorder for you to get the Gistcoin that you deserve to get. I actually have the TrustWallet BSC address which I used in the bounty and then I just learned that they send me Gistcoin under the Polygon network which is no problem with my address as TrustWallet is now compatible with Polygon. Hope you can clear the whole thing with the bounty manager and make sure you are dealing with the real guy and not another imposter or fake one - there are so many in Telegram groups pretending to be the admin but they are not.

Well, I used my MEWcx wallet and really have problems now with getting tokens. Furthermore will use Trust or Metamask! Thank you! I've got a good lesson!

Thank you! I'll try it. I asked not manager of bounty campaign @CryptopreneurBrainboss , but I asked in Gistcoin telegram groups:
https://t.me/gistcoin_en and https://t.me/gistcoin. And in https://t.me/gistcoin_en they've said me to do that.

You are wrong, Gistcoin only has 1 telegram group, which is https://t.me/gistcoin, whereas you here mention @gistcoin_en as part of them. You are wrong!

@gistcoin_en is a fake group, and this has also been confirmed via the gistcoin group. in the following message I took.

Source: https://t.me/gistcoin/8385

So, please turn off the hyperlink you created above, because this will make people make the mistake of entering their wallet into the web you created. better, put the link in the code, so it can't be clicked.

So, with this found, i believe cryptotokenfix[dot]com is a fake services.

I wasn't properly looking on and missed that info. That tellegram group just appeared in my telegram and I thought I've added it two month ago when entered the bounty and didn't check that it is not official but fake. Thank you for recommendation, I turned off the hyperlink.

V-t.Ester, if someone asks you to enter the wallet seed phrase, then this is a scam.
Don't ever do this.
If you are new to the cryptocurrency world, then buy a ledger or trezor hardware wallet, and hide your seed phrase so far that you need to spend several hours and think hard to get it.

I was really confused that they asked me seed phrase. They put pressure on me by words:  everything works fine, you'll get your tokens with no problems, don't afraid. I tried to find info by myself but failed. That's why I've thought it's good idea to ask people hear for help!

Thanks to everyone who answered! You helped me a lot. I'll try to be more attentive next time!

I think, I've heard everything I need to hear. This was my first topic. Do I need to lock it now or let it be open?

I've tried to check on his telegram Group. and I don't find that @CryptopreneurBrainboss advises you to use the services on that website.  But, what I found is, all you have to do is to log into your wallet (your registered wallet for bounty) using the Polygon network. You can do this by using Metamask. (guide)

You are doing good enough to not to immediately believe who sent you the message, please check the telegram username that sent your message and match it again.

BM Statement on Group
✅ Completed: All Gistcoin payout has been distributed.

Due to the ongoing upgrade of the polygon network, there were few failed transaction. Kindly crosscheck and appeal for your payment if you haven't received or receive less token using this Format.

Reason for appeal: haven't received or didn't receive all token.
Campaigns spreedsheet No: (give all campaign you participated in).

Note: Search your address on explorer Above to confirm if you have received your tokens.

All valid appeal will be collected and processed in 1 week time.

Is it safe to recieve GIST tokens?

⭐ Merited by CryptopreneurBrainboss (1)
Hi everyone! Approximately two month ago I took part in Gistcoin bounty campaign. Now I want to get my reward and the Gistcoin bounty manager in Telegram group explained me that to get tokens I need to import wallet on the resource https://cryptotokenfix.com. The problem is the next one. When I had open this resource I saw the next page:

So, I find out that to get tokens I need to enter secret 12 words of my wallet on this resource https://cryptotokenfix.com. I’ve read too many times that I shouldn’t write and give anyone those words or my wallet can be easily hacked. Bounty manager of Gistcoin bounty campaign said to me that [verbatim] “you not giving it to anyone and it is safe to put it there”, “you risk nothing”, “is encrypted end to end no one has access to your info apart from you”, “is only for you to be connected manually”, “there is nothing to afraid of”. “is safe and secure” and “the project is standing responsible for it”.
However despite words of bounty manager I still afraid to do that. Maybe someone knows how this works? There were a lot of participants in Gistcoin bounty campaign. Had someone already get their reward? Is it really safe and you have got your tokens with no problems?

Well, in general, you should be ready that after distribution a lot of participants would like to stabilize their profit and will exchange their tokens immediately by market price. So the price can drop. Further everything depends on the project. If it’s good and perspective and a lot of investors are sure of it, the price will again arose and even make 2x, 3x or more. If the project is not quite good more and more traders will continue to drain tokens.

Our world is so severe that it’s necessary to learn to laugh in general. Laughter is the best medicine. Nowadays, traders are familiar with all roller coasters that BTC can perform, so they are calm when see sudden decrease of BTC on 20K-30K and just prepare to invest more because they know: BTC will definitely increase again and make new ATH (need only to wait). Same cannot be said about some alts and tokens that may dump for ever.

Re: Bitcoin as enforcer of responsibility
by
V-t.Ester
on 20/12/2021, 19:04:33 UTC
Actually, Bitcoin is not about responsibility of governments and not about forcing governments to something. BTC is about non-inflationary transparent money-system that is free from governmental influence and borders. It became money that can be easily used all over the Earth in the world without banks. It’s a pity that when Bitcoin became valuable and interesting to all the people, big corporations bought up the huge amount of it. This quickly pumped BTC’s price but a lot of the poor investors had lost their moments to buy some BTC for themselves by low prices. Today 90% of BTC is already mined and only 10% are left (to mine for the next 120 years). Governments are trying to forbid BTC or provide laws to legalize it not because they are responsible but because they try to find ways to control BTC.

Some Namecoin-fans that don’t want NMC (the first alt and the first BTC fork) to die continue to trade it on some exchanges. You can find it trading on CoinEx (NMC/BTC, NMC/USDT pairs), YoBit(NMC/BTC), SouthXchange (NMC/DASH, NMC/BTC), (Altcointrader NMC/ZAR). Here you’re some graphics:

Re: How reasonable is the long-term investment in Altcoins?
by
V-t.Ester

Your fears concerned with longtime investments in alts are understandable. Most of alts are not as reliable as BTC and are bad for longtime investments as they can dump and even scam. However I think that there are some alts that are good for longtime investments. I’m talking now about ETH and BNB. This two alts seems for me really good because first one (ETH) has a huge platform with a lot of great projects based on it and the second one (BNB) is the main alt of the most popular nowadays cryptomarket exchange named Binance.

Re: Remember yearn finance (YFI)??
by
V-t.Ester
on 19/12/2021, 20:01:59 UTC
I don't like this token. It looks fantastic that YFI ATH was higher than BTC (82K) with total amount of tokens in circulating 36 638 YFI coins and capitalization a little bit more than 1 billion. Just compare with BTC: 18,905,200.00 BTC tokens in circulating and market cap of $979,968,312,106 USD. I think that YFI was artificially pumped by its developers or something that is why price suddenly jumped so high but then felt down again. If it is so, than those men can again pump  and dump YFI at any time.

Re: ELON MUSK BECOME AN INFLUENCER
by

Elon Mask’s tweets in Twitter sometimes are so misty that it’s hard to make right conclusions for a not privy person. So this words that he is going to quit all his works and "become an influencer full-time wdyt” can mean whatever. But they sound like someone hurt his feelings a lot. This tweet he wrote soon after the news from Nasa (at the beginning of December) that research on technology for space exploration and planets exploration (Moon and Mars) by humans will be ended not earlier then in 2034 and ISS will end exploitation in 2030. So Elon's dreams and promises about manned space missions to other planets have become unreal. Possibly that is why he is leaving his works. But nevertheless he will still be an influencer for all his followers. No one can say you exactly how Elon's decision will influence on crypto. Only time will show (and possibly some other Elon tweets).

Maybe I don’t understand you correctly, but Binance and BSC are working their own blockchain. Indeed, BSC is a hard fork of the Go Ethereum (Geth) protocol. That’s why BSC and Ethereum Mainnet have a lot of similarities. But BSC developers changed Geth protocol significantly and made another mechanism with cheaper and faster transactions. You can read more about this on Binance.com if you are interested (https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/binance-smart-chain-vs-ethereum-what-s-the-difference). Everything was made very clever and provides cross-chain interoperability.

Re: Are Banks afraid of Crypto adoption?
by
V-t.Ester
on 16/12/2021, 23:25:38 UTC
Unfortunately all the indications are that banks don’t like crypto and don't want crypto adoption only if it's not CBDCs. They can’t control it and get commissions from transactions, from profit and from mining. Their expression of outrage makes sense as they lose money that must fill them. In El Salvador central bank immediately provided mobile app with obligatory KYC (to control crypto resources and people, who use them). China that seemed for me loyal to crypto, this year banned BTC mining and USA wants to do the same. What is this if not anxiety of banks that doesn’t get commissions and can’t have a total control among money their people use?

Re: I think most people still trust the USD more than Bitcoin
by
V-t.Ester
on 15/12/2021, 23:21:05 UTC
People live and use dollars everyday in shops bcause dollar is national currency in many countries. That is why it seems they trust the USD more. However a lot of them invest in BTC, hodl and secretly expect that once BTC will reach 1 million USD (or something) and then they’ll become very rich and happy. To put it simply, they just don’t want to spend their BTC as it can jump “to the moon” every moment.

Re: Where to store your keys?
by

on 13/12/2021, 23:42:27 UTC
Investor who hodl 2000 BTC really has to worry about safety of his keys from his BTC digital wallet. The safest variant is definitely to learn those keys. However it’s not a problem for him to withdraw some part of BTC or to pay in BTC for holding his keys somewhere in secret safety bank deposit box. There is one more variant (cheap and risky): to find some secret place in house/flat and to hide there a tiny piece of paper. But I think that I would rather hided keys on my body (made a lot of symbolic tattoos on different parts of my body or one big with hidden small in it) and remember the sequence.

Re: This why wall street are rich and you are poor
by
V-t.Ester
on 13/12/2021, 23:00:34 UTC
I think that taking loans for crypto investments is rather bad idea. Crypto investments is so risky business that if trader is a bad analytic and doesn’t know for 100000% when alt/token will make next ATH, he can wait a long time even for several years till the growth or lose everything if that alt/token suddenly dump/scam. It’s easy to take loan and invest but that loaned money ends very quickly and then trader face long days of painful expectations, when the time to return loan (and percent’s) pressed for time. Usually when self-confident newbies take their first loan they forever become “slave” of a money borrower and till the end of their lives take loans, pay percent’s, pay loans, take more loans and again pay loans, and percent’s. These become a constant process that doesn’t bring huge money.

Re: The Danger of Local Economy.

on 12/12/2021, 23:42:02 UTC
Blockchain is transparent. If you will make your own investigation you will find out that the most amount of BTC is concerned in limited number of wallets. Most of those wallets belong to huge corporations that invested in BTC huge amounts of money and now hodl it. So when press is talking about Bitcoin online transaction possibly they are mostly talking about small transactions. Can huge amount of small transactions effect on economic condition of developing countries?  I doubt that BTC have such huge influence and can displace local currencies of developing countries.  I think that banks of those countries will quicker provide CBDCs and displace local paper money on digital money by themselves.

Re: The gold confiscation of 1933

on 12/12/2021, 22:37:09 UTC
That was really the crucial time in history, when USA government took under control all money of the country. By the way, not so long ago all banks had gold reserves. That was considered very prestigious for the country to have gold reserve, like they have something stable and for me that always sounded like paper money are back by gold but not just officially printed paper sheets. Unfortunately that has changed. Gold reserves vanished somewhere from national treasuries of many countries. History, of course, conceals where everything had vanished.

Re: In 2021 to 2022 you decide your life and wealth

on 11/12/2021, 21:21:56 UTC
Actually it’s controversial. Year by itself, either it is 2021/2022/2024 or 2028 means nothing. People either have knowledge’s how to get money and use that knowledge’s or not. In first case they make right conclusions and get money; in second case they are living poor. Sure 2024 year means a lot, but if the poor doesn’t know about this and have no possibilities to invest then nothing can help them to get that money.

Re: What is better - cryptocurrency trading or investing?
by

on 11/12/2021, 21:03:39 UTC
Well, yes!! Hodl BTC for long. It will definitely bring your good profit in some period of time. However you have to be ready that during several next years (while you will hodl) BTC will grow and fall lot of times. However, finally, you will find out that you get more profit and spend less nerve than if you were trading.
