We have some updates with VCAPs that we wanted to share with everyone involved. We wanted to thank you for believing in us and helping us make this ambitious idea come to life
We hit a few bumps with the VCAP campaign and had some unexpected good news too. Basically things are running according to plan - almost.

With the limited time we had to promote the project, we didn't reach our goal with individual investors. However, with the media we got and the potential of the project, we are now working with some  Companies and private investors. They've helped us flush our what a crypto-based production company can really do and have also helped us reach our minimum.  

Also, in extending the crowdsale, we now have to move our shoot date to March. This won't change the team or the release date. We would be done shooting by April and ready to release in the summer (meaning the potential profit return is on track).



So, what we plan to do is:

-  Get VCAPs on an exchange

-  Combine the Hedley Productions site and the Vulture Capital site into one much more exciting site and start putting content in the "VCAP Holder Only" section

-  Continue selling VCAPs until we shoot in March

-  Put our next press release out on Variety and other entertainment media (This part is important, because we weren't able to do this before reaching our goal.)

We know that there's a lot of double talk in the crypto space and being transparent with the people who support the project is really important to us.  We'll continue to update through the site and are always available here.


So - The two changes are:

Here is the latest on Listen Carefully and Vulture Capital. Due to a short time frame, we didn't raise our minimum through individual investors. So here is the new timetable: We're moving the Listen Carefully shoot to March (same team) with a release still scheduled for summer; We are revamping the website with some of the features for VCAP holders only, which we have talked about here; We will extend the crowd sale. Our next press release will go out to Variety and the entertainment rags, not just to finance publications. We have sent e-mails to everyone who has invested with us to make sure they are still on board with the shoot date. Thanks for asking. The pre-production phase is when story boards are finalized for each screen, the actors are all attached, locations are selected, the team (which includes director, cinematographer, other staff) come together for planning.. This is roughly four to six weeks, depending on locations selected and licenses for location. Filming then begins, and continues for roughly 12 weeks. This is followed by the posts-production, which includes editing (including sound editing), music, and any reshoots required. This also continues for 12 weeks about. While in post-production, we will submit rough cuts to the major film festivals in early 2017. The film will be ready for distribution in the spring. We have distributors lined up domestically, but will also secure global distribution.

If we can get the minimum VCAP tokens sold by September 1 (25,000 VCAPS), we will begin building the portion of the website that is to be set aside for our VCAP holders to participate in the filmmaking through live feeds, some of the dailies, and pre-screening next projects.

The story is very good, and has been getting buzz among producers. Listen Carefully is a smart sexy comedy that pokes fun at corporate culture and consumerism. The four girls are fresh out of college and don’t want to start as interns, so they create a ridiculous product which lets them make money on their own terms. Granted, it’s a comedy and the girls are mischievous-minded, but they basically create an invention that doesn’t do anything. Because of hysteria, anger, and word of mouth, their “box” becomes something quite large indeed. The corporations come in, completely furious and try to destroy them. Parallel to this story line, every television in the country is keeps getting hacked to show monkeys flinging crap at each other, which comments further on that state that corporate power has left us in. This is, of course, quite different from cryptocurrency which does have purpose, and does do something. But, its statement is the same—we can create something outside the rules of convention.
An extra plus to support your starting with  our film is that it deals with money. Listen Carefully tells the story of a business run by young innovators, who are taking money and selling tickets in several scenes. Of course, they will make it clear they accept bitcoin, Ethereum, or any other alt coin, and are set up to be paid that way.
