If you're talking about BCH, there is a good chance they are some kind of scammers, but I can't guarantee that, just be careful. And if you're talking about Changelly, no, they are not scammers. (I think lol)

Re: Is viabtc transaction accelerator really working?

Does it accelerate a transaction with any fee? Or do the transactions need to be, for example, more than 100 sat/byte?

You are confusing transactions fees, trading fees, and taxes

When you trade you pay the trading fees (to the website), no matter if you trade dollar for bitcoin or bitcoin for altcoins. When you withdraw your coins from an exchange or your wallet you pay the transactions fees (for miners)

You pay the taxes on the profits you make, buying at $1,000 and sell at $5,000 you pay based on the $4,000 profit (5000-1000)
The laws may vary from country to country so it's better you ask to someone in your country or to taxes office

That was very enlightening, thank you.

Re: Bitcoin Will Go Up Or Down Next Week?

This is a question that can't be simply answered like this. No one really knows what is going to happen next. But there are some facts that you can analyze:

- BTC futures are starting to get traded today;
- New people learning about cryptos everyday (I'm from Brazil and BTC is getting mainstream in popular TV channels);
- No bad government news on cryptos
- End of the year is coming, I've heard rumours about a big dump to start the year (don't take this in consideration btw, I've read this somewhere but there's no way on confirming this)

You should watch what's happening in the scene and cement your opinion from there; if someone is saying that certainly the price will go up, you should suspect, no one really knows.

How do the taxes work on transactions?

Hello everyone, I am having trouble trying to understand which fees I'd have to pay on BTC or other altcoins transactions.

I know that, depending on which exchange you are using, you pay some order taxes, and some deposit/withdraw taxes. What about BTC to other altcoins? Are there transactions fees? And what about changing my BTC to another wallet? Do I pay fees too? And wallet-change transactions of other altcoins?

TLDR: just tell me all you know about fees and taxes involving crypto transactions, please. Thank you!

Re: Would a BTC crash destroy alt coins?

Depends on what reasons the BTC would crash. But because BTC is the main pillar for crypto, any disturbance to it will have ripple effects (no pun intended) on the market, that's natural.

But if we are to think that BTC had many crashes and still alts still survived long term but also highly thrived and increased in numbers.

So I wouldn't say a crash would destroy alts but of course, would hurt everyone.

This is what gives me hope. A survived crash would be a new chance, kind of a restart. Anyway, I don't think it will happen atm.

Crashed ? I Don think so brother
Crashed it's mean system failure and another kind of error. But on this condition bitcoin still allright and maybe just going down a little bit so this normal.
Don' t made a simple conclusion on news out there. We must analyze first.

My bad. By "crash" I meant, IDK, a speculative bubble price crash maybe?

Before I get demonized, I know BTC is not a bubble, but I think there's a big number of gamblers in this market.

Maybe some negative news or regulations would scare some people and cause some kind of crash? I really don't know, just discussing in case this happens...

Anyway, thank everyone for the discussion. If such an event happens again with BTC like happened with Mt Gox in 2013, do you think altcoins would  surge? Following this present trend of surging when BTC falls...

Would a BTC crash destroy alt coins?

Hello everyone, I'm sorry if this sounds stupid. I am a learner in the crypto scene.  Embarrassed

I know BTC probably isn't going to crash anytime soon, and in this case, if a huge BTC crash happens, eventually most altcoins would suffer alot.

But, in this cenario of crash, would most of the alts be done? I mean, what are the odds of altcoins surviving this crash? Would they then get negotiated with fiat?

I was just wondering this and wanted to discuss this (distant?) possibility...
