Probably a firewall in the server room that won't allow unknown connections either in or out.

If you don't already own a miner (and the S17's are less than reliable with lots of them failing after not much time running) I'd recommend you just buy some BTC and sit back and watch its value increase.  Trying to buy a miner now is close to fruitless.

Jan 2020 there was an article out looking at this miracle miner, and at that time they spec'd it as 68TH/s @ 1440W, which is still double the best at the time but at least you didn't immediately LOL when looking at the numbers, it took a couple seconds!!

PSU needs 220VAC for full 1600W output.  At 110VAC the PSU is only rated for 1200W which won't run an S9 reliably since it wants at least 1400W.  Unless you're underclocking/undervolting which is a whole other discussion!

We only do bitcoin here, and GPUs have been obsolete for that for years.

Any ETA as to when the Solo option will be available?  My winter-time Artoo unit (R4 with only half brains!) is ready to burn some watts.

Do what I and some others here do and have your miners shipped to a hosting facility outside the USA.

ok, fine, MAYBE one last time.  How do we know for sure if we hit a block given the last fiasco?  If the miner hadn't noticed he hit a block NO ONE would have known, and we're renting hash so how do we know?  Convince me and I'm in for 0.02.

It's the old CKPoolMonitor app from years ago.  I got that same email, though if you look at it a bit more closely it says found after 0 days, 0 hours,0 minutes at 27.6% diff.  Diff is right for the pool at that time, but block solved and times are...??

That price was for a 12H solo contract, not the COMPAC stick, so based on expected earnings I consider it a big lose!

@0.0105 THs you'd expect to earn about 1/10 of one US cent per day.  So I'd say no... 

Yeah it's not like I saw my miners failing over to a solo pool all the time or anything...    Just wondering, and I do have a limping R4 with half a brain that I use for winter heating which I point to a solo pool, so I'd prefer to point it to pool Brand "K" which rhymes with "A" and it's indeed the A-pool! (apologies to The Music Man)

Since I don't do discord I don't know when the kano solo pool is scheduled to be available.  As many here do, I set a backup solo pool for when the main pool I mine to (kano) goes down. But if the backup solo pool is also kano will that make it moot? I believe I read previously that the difference on kano between pooled and solo will be virtual, not physical. True?
