@Islapdonkey

you're boring the community. Fuck you ...

Thank you for that insult, but run along and tell them to provide that proof that i tried to extort convery, and while you at it, tell them to provide a detailed proof on how they intend to protect new investors from convery dumping the coin back to 3 sat.

Oh! dont tell me convery owns no more coin, cos your master coincollector was caught asking him to contribute coins to their dev fund. And by the way aren't you the random acct that convery choose to dump 725k coins to at a rate of 109 sat when the coin was trading comfortably around 1500 sat back in august. Well, by staying active on this thread, am just keeping the promise i made on that fateful day.

So yeah run along and tell them to provide the proof that i tried to extort convery, and we can go from there. thanks.

Everyone likely has you on ignore by now and for good reason. Keep crying into the abyss, no one cares and no one can even see your posts.

Hi. We approach final phase of this 4yr of waiting. Thanks for cross postings.

I didnt beleived but knew.

Bitcoin borned new universe where time counted in blocks. And it is only Level 1 of new financial system OSI model. Are you concerned in block size? Then you should know that Ethernet has Maximum Transfer Unit of a packet of only 1500 bytes. But TCP/IP doesnt care about this. Long live Lightening!

Very interesting comparison you draw there, but I have a few concerns. Packets, unlike blocks, do not have to wait 10 minutes between each transmission. Also, packets do not have to be broadcasted to the entire network, like blocks do. Because of these issues I don't think its as 1:1 of a comparison as you make it seem, although to be honest I'm not fully educated on the subject and want to learn more. It is interesting to envision a system where there are layers built on bitcoin to faciliate all the things we feel are impossible now to due to blocksize constraints.

Also thanks for updating us, I've been following your analysis for years now and you've always been on the money.

As someone who is only currently in this coin because I managed to sell into the pump and buy a lot back at a super cheap price (5-10 sat), what people are saying in this thread is true. The coin was pumped to a stupid amount on thin volume (like 100k sats), followed by an incredible dump down to essentially 0. Someone basically dumped the entire coin supply at once and while I'm not going to point fingers, it's definitely sketchy and anyone buying here should see it as a lottery ticket.

I'm sure initially there will be some hype around bgold but it will likely follow the path that bcash has, which has pretty much retraced the entirety of it's last move and is in rough shape

I check on average multiple times per day. Not out of worry, but just a desire to know what's going on in the market.

Probably going to sell some of my stash around 7500 and more in the high 9k's if we make it there. I can see this topping out between 10-15k.

I doubt many people had the conviction to hold their coins bought in the single/double digits all the way to today. I've always found it quite fascinating that BTC has an almost built-in distribution system, whereby initial early adopters have large stashes of coins but subsequently cash those out at a certain profit level, where they are redistributed among a larger userbase, and the cycle repeats as the price continues to rise over time.

I think we're about to enter into the third and steepest leg on this rally, at which we maybe get blowoff top in 10-15k range before a pretty catastrophic fall.

Re: Who made big money?
by
Vahnt
on 17/01/2017, 04:18:23 UTC
Just a couple of weeks ago bitcoin was blasting over $1000, so I am wondering if anyone made big money by selling their BTC? Now it has came down to $830, even if last week it was close to $900, so I am not seeing getting back to $1000 anytime soon. Any profits or regrets here?  Roll Eyes

I've been a holder for a long time, and have a stash of coins my TREZOR that I don't intend to sell anytime soon.

However, I did begin trading futures on OKCoin after hearing about the platform from other people I talk to, and I made some solid gains going long on leverage for most of the ride up, and trimming my position incrementally as we approached the top. I was entirely out by the time it crashed. My personal goal is just to trade with the aim of increasing my stash as much as possible, while waiting for the eventual big bull cycle up at which point I might finally cash out most of my coins for good. I don't intend to sell any at any price below around $2000-$2500 USD/coin, which I hope should materialize sometime in 2018.

Re: Any advice in margin trading?
by
Vahnt
on 13/01/2017, 01:59:50 UTC
I've been trading futures profitably on OKCoin since early December, so I'll pass along what little I know that has worked for me.

You need to know what kind of market you're in. I made great gains during december going long and just holding through the dips, and began scaling my position as the price breached 1000. You need to control your emotions and not let greed or fear get the best of you. At the time, as I started unwinding my long and watched the price rally higher, I felt stupid and the urge to re-long, but as evidenced by the crash it's always important to take profits when they've run high enough.

Now, we're currently in a period of uncertainty and fear and doubt. I made a couple of losing trades trying to take longer-period calls on price during the last couple of days when it flatlined before falling. this is the environment where, unless you've got thick skin and strong conviction, don't hold positions for too long and take profits when you can. Identify when you've made a bad trade and cut losses early. Nothing is worse than letting a position keep moving against you and feeling like shit, or worse still to try and average down and getting annihilated.

I've always looked at Bitcoin on a technical basis and try my best to identify levels I feel are strong resistance and support, and start building up long/short positions at those levels. Always have a plan in mind when you enter a trade, including your exit point and the point at which you cut losses. As the saying goes, "Plan your trade and trade your plan". You don't need to always be trading - if the market is going nowhere and there's no discernible short or medium term trend, just stay away. There will always be opportunities in the future, no need to chase trades that aren't there.

My personal view is that this is going to play out as a huge cup and handle pattern. We've seen the top of the cup with the second rally to almost all time highs, and now we begin the formation of the handle. While I feel that we might have reached a bottom, I think we might have more downside and an ultimate bottom around 700, unless we cut through that on a massive panic sell like we did when finex was hacked. This is when you should start thinking about a long position but even then, once you've made a healthy profit (an arbitrary amount different for each individual), close the position. Don't pray for a moonshot that never comes

I think next major target is 950-1000 before seeing serious retrace. As to how quickly that comes, it's hard to say.

It could take months, or mere weeks. When BTC wants to rip, it rips.
