Hi! I want to watch your presentation, but can’t be in Moscow on this date… are you planning to carry out online translation?

We actually do have the website and whitepaper translated in Russian. Hopefully that will help! Thanks!

Re: what is the definition of success?
by
Vaultbank.io
on 14/10/2017, 21:44:34 UTC
I think success is partly about achieving what you’ve set out to do in life, but more importantly, being able to look back at your life on your death bed and say something like “hell yeah, what a life. I did everything I wanted to and experienced what I wanted to experience, and was happy and proud for so much of it and was surrounded by love and still am at the end. And very few regrets. I loved my life and I’m ready to say bye to it.”

Absolutely go to college if you live in the US. If you have no money, you still should absolutely do it and just try your best to get financial aid.

Plus college is AWESOME. It’s a great experience

So many positives of social media, like connecting people from around the world to one another and for keeping up with friends old and new. But the time spent in front of computer screens instead of in person, as well as the cyber bullying and trolling sure give negatives to this as well. Like some have said here, there are likely going to be positives and negatives of most things, and this is that. I would lean towards saying it’s better than it is worse.

Re: Sustainable living?!
by
Vaultbank.io
on 14/10/2017, 16:18:32 UTC
Your arguments are good, but it´s not the sustainable living i mean!!
I was thinking about take care of nature, saving resources, climate change and so on...
Not to live that you kids have a good life too, to life that the next generations in general have it

The key, I believe, is try to make as little change as possible to the planet, whatever that change should be. So a closed ecosystem is the best option and it fits with our aspirations to leave on other planets as well.

We could live underground and not cut down forests for no reason, let along farming and wood. We should try to develop underground farming to a higher level. Use heat from the core of the planet or from solar panels in the desert to generate electricity that we use for artificial light in our underground farms.
Unlike some people, I actually believe that less organic and natural way of life is the best option for the planet. We should use GMOs to make underground farming more efficient and live our life with our inventions and interfere with nature as little as possible and let it run it's natural course without us.

I too opened this thread thinking it was about sustainable living on the earth side of things. Some interesting points brought up here about underground farming. I haven’t heard much about it but like the idea. I also like the idea of focusing farming in areas that don’t destroy highly biodiverse ecosystems.

Also I get the GMO point about being more efficient than organic, but there are other issues about GMOs and the chemicals specifically

Re: Do you believe all muslims are bad?

I am Muslim, and according to my objective view, Muslims are a religion of peace, only a part of the people are in the name of Muslims who do evil, I think all religions teach goodness is no exception, as I said earlier, only the person who makes the image becomes bad

Well said. Most Muslims focus on peace, so of course no one can possibly say anything about all Muslims being territorists or bad people.

Re: Crypto Currency Youtubers
by
Vaultbank.io
on 14/10/2017, 05:43:32 UTC
Do add videos on how to spot scammers.

I plan on creating videos on how to evaluate ICO coins, and I will make a extended video on how to spot suspicious coins

Hey Awesome that you are going to have a crypto currency channel.
What i would like to see is trading videos

My message got deleted for some reason that im not aware of

I will create a "how to day trade" video and will make a video talking about the different exchanges etc

Its nice to hear that you are going to launch a youtube channel based on cryptocurrency. Definitely I will subscribe your youtube news channel.I have a suggestion, it will be good and you will get many views if you make videos about faucets because everyone searches in internet to earn free money. Also it will be good if you add reviews and comparisons about all major cryptocurrency exchanges.

I can certainly make a faucet video for people who want to receive free coins, and it will likely capture them as future visitors to the channel. Yes I plan on creating video content regarding exchanges. I think my biggest problem will be video editing and maybe some minor problems with the audio since I dont have a good microphone.

The crypto-related Youtube channels I watch , I do because they make great tutorials and do in-depth market analysis of the Bitcoin price.
I regularly watch 'The Cryptoverse' on Youtube, he has a great balance between news and tutorials, his market analysis is also correct.

Besides, I wouldn't really mind that you'd put ads on your channel, I'd still watch if the content was good.

I will take some notes on this Youtuber and see what works and what doesnt work with him. I am going to be mostly aiming for tutorials to help beginner users and then will hopefully end up creating analysis videos when the channel gets bigger. I think it is best to hold ads off unless I can get a very large following 100k+subs

Do proper research on all Alt coins before you post it on Youtube. There was a lady who made videos on Youtube about Alt coins, but only promoted these coins if they "sponsored" the episode.  Roll Eyes Try to be objective and do not pick sides in the battle between Core vs "everyone else".

People can easily spot if you are biased and will not subscribe or support a channel, if you favour a specific side in this debate.

Good luck with the Channel, it is difficult to generate quality content week after week.

I have been researching crypto currency for a decent amount of time and am confident I will be able to analysis coins, however I am not going to dive straight into it in the beginning. I am going to focus more on tutorial videos, and I certainly will not be only focusing on paid videos. I want to make general videos that give people a idea about a coin or investment and give them the knowledge to come up with the analysis themselves. I would be basically guiding them

Do a video on using a escrow and how important it is. Making escrow easier to understand and a youtube video for it would allow more users to stay safe on the forums.

This is a very good suggestion, thank you. I will certainly make a video on this

Nice idea. I think that this is definitely a niche market and has a lot of potential if done correctly.
My personal advice would be to not only talk to the camera (interview style) but to also have slides/animations to illustrate your points etc.
Nice graphics can go a long way and make otherwise long talks much more interesting.

I am not very good with graphics and video editing which will be a problem, however I plan on a camera view and a screen with powerpoint slides. I will also make the download of the content free for people who want to look it over without having to watch the video again

I think I know who you're talking about but that lady dashed away off to another channel  Grin.
A couple little tips for your YouTube channel: try to get some sort of consistency going, by doing this viewers who watch you regularly will know when to expect a video of yours. Also do not overdo things right from the start. Try making a video once a week and go from there. Consistency is key when it comes to YouTube. Another thing I would recommend is to be as complete as possible, there's a lot of information out there but it's scattered all over the place. This is important especially if you're targetting newbies, they will appreciate it. And atleast try not to be biased as mentioned above.

This is very good advice, right now I am preparing some videos, as they take a lot of time to create. And then I will release them regularly and hopefully since I will have some pre-made, it will allow me time to create more videos on time since I will have one already created and ready to launch. As the channel gets bigger and more supported, I will be able to release more videos, but the 1 week per video is a very good idea and I like that.

Things I don't like :

1) Poor video quality
2) Distorted sound quality
3) No real content in the videos
4) Using YT to prmote FUD and pumps

Pls don't do any of the above and you will be successful.

1) The video might be a little poor when I start out considering I dont have the equipment to make it the top channel off the start. However the content itself will be very good and I will allow people to download my power points and documents for free.

2) I dont have a mic, but if people suggest one to me that I can buy on Ebay or something, I will gladly do that. Right now I am working off of my laptop and am not in a fixed location.

3) The whole point of my videos will be the great content and tutorials

4) I will not be promoting any coins that force me to analyze it differently. I also will not be making it a focus to get paid promotions

If I may, don't forget to put effort in the production of your videos (sound/image quality, rythm,...). I know it's a lot of time but it makes a real difference, especially for those who are new to the crypto currencies.

Good luck.

I will try my best to create the best production, however my equipment might not be suitable. However I am open to suggestions and will always listen to my audience. I will adapt as people start watching the videos

so you are making a channel for cryptocurrencies right?

regards

yes that is correct

Good stuff Tim. I think you have all the right thoughts on how to best run a channel. I would just add that portraying yourself as a full on expert will gain not only views, but subscribers who will really trust you for advice. Good luck!

It'll never be shut down on its own, but the value could go down to 0 if no one finds any value in it. Also as someone else mentioned, if the world lost power and the internet stopped forever, then it would be lost.

There are some fantastic threads on bitcointalk about how to protect yourself from Spam level ICOs. Make sure to do as much research as you can to make sure you don't get taken advantage of as you learn more about the cryptocurrency market.

Re: Identifying potential scam coins
by
Vaultbank.io
on 12/10/2017, 23:39:57 UTC

Read the whitepaper and if it makes no sense than it's likely a scam coin. They like to overgeneralize about changing the world, and use crypto terminology to the point where it makes no sense. You can buy a whitepaper on People Per Hour or Fiverr for $100, so it goes to show that most of them mean nothing. See if you recognize any of the team from other projects as the team is the most important.

Check to see if they are a working product. Stay away from anything promising the moon.

I completely agree with this. It also seems important to look at security tokens as opposed to utility tokens. Security tokens probably have a much better shot of surviving all the regulations that are being talked about.

Not a chance to get it to $6000 before Seg2X hard fork.

It's much more likely to hit $3K again... More and more companies are AGAINST Seg2x and they don't want to let the decision to miners.

I've been thinking the same, but I'm also hearing that many people are just sitting out trading until the hard fork. Might not move much before then.

Re: which country trade most in btc
by

For me China, bitcoin in china is very popular and lot of people there using bitcoin. They are more advance than other country.
I haven't seen anyone who accepts BTC on Aliexpress and even with my supplier neglected to accept BTC few months back. I don't think Bitcoin is popular in China and now they banned totally.

Bitcoin in China is not prohibited. It's just that the Chinese government is too wary of bitcoins now. It seems to me that despite all prohibitions, China remains the leader in the trade and production of bitcoin

It sure seems that China is the leader still. I wonder why Russia isn't on any of these lists. It would seem to me that with the bitcoin ATMs they have had installed along with all the buzz about Russia and cryptocurrency that they would be one of the leaders.

Re: Alt coins worth buying

I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.

When deciding which coins to invest in I'd say looking at the team behind the project and their past successes is an important measure.
