Just now i have checked the price of VEIL, very good to know after many days of waiting now the coin price has increased more than 40% in the market. Maybe because of due to market recovery are did we miss any of the news about the Veil Development?

With that amount, I believe you would get 1 stake every 2 days, so wait a bit more. Also, ask in their telegram, they are more responsive there.
Holding more than 10000 veil coin will always help to get on stake on daily basis, but some time we are facing wallet issues which it is impossible for us to run the wallets on 24/7 basis because surely it can damage the hardware by keep on charging the device, so they need to implement POS model it will help the community.
Use a vps (they start at like $5 a month), you should not be running this wallet all time on your pc.
with a vps you dont have full control of your node, so its not recommended.
What are you guys doing for the blockchain size? I am asking this because the blockchain size is increasing really really fast and if it continues my laptop will soon be out of space lol.

I am having extreme difficulty with wallet. I am by no means new to wallets and crypto and have been mining for several years. I have been having issues converting zerocoin to basecoin. now it is a wallet issue. I have had the wallet crash on one pc. cannot seem to reinstall. Other laptop failed loading blockchain at 95% twice, I had to uninstall and now reinstalling again. Bigger picture, If you want the masses to adopt your product and vision, it has to be more user friendly. I cannot even imagine my lay friends trying to figure this out. After all, this is what we need to strive for, to win or survive. Everyone is struggling for market share in the end.

Sorry to hear about your problems. We are aware of current difficulties with the wallet and are hard at work with simplifying the UX. Once we have RingCT staking fully functional there wont be a need to mint anymore which will vastly improve things. And with Sonic we will include a brand new wallet built by ui/ux experts. In the meantime please join our discord where we have 24/7 support for problems with the wallet.

Currently you can still stake anonymously. Its not the same level of anonimity Zerocoin provided however. The way to stake anonymously currently is this: mint your RingCT coins into Zerocoin. This way when you win a stake, the only thing an observer can see is a member of the ringsignature won the stake. Once we allow RingCT to stake by itself this will be more obvious as it wont require extra work from the end user in order to stake anonymously.
So in short:
1. you can stake anonynously by minting from RingCT
2. this will change into directly staking from RingCT in the short term(basically making Veil a gpu minable/PoS hybrid Monero)
3. mid/long term we will have Sonic, which will provide very strong anonimity once again.

The new rule was the deactivation of unlinkable zerocoin spends, so if you wish to stake anonymously you need to mint through RingCT currently.
They're still working for the update, right now you should do that trick above. A bit annoying and quite weird tbh, and as marecek says, it causes serious decentralization problem if not fixed properly as everyone needs to rely on snapshots when they're offline for a long time.
Its fixed on the current master build, so will be in the next release.

Can anyone tell me whether previous attempts to mine block would be taken into consideration after a few days of staking interruption? Or my wallet should be open all the time to win the staking bet?
There is no coinage factor in staking Veil, each block the same amount of Veil has an equal chance to win, wether you just started staking or have heen staking for weeks.
With 1,000 coins, you may get (on average) one stake every 13 days. That means you need 13k coins for on average one stake of 50 coins per day. Over time you will need more coins than 13k for one stake a day on average because the coin supply is increasing fast for the first few years.
1000 coins stake continuous over 13 days and get only one staking reward round. In my opinion, it's terrible staking rate if we take into account the staking rate will decrease over time when difficulty increase, and more stakers actively operates on VEIL network. It even does not count for orphan blocks found from staking.You get 50 Veil if u win a stake, so thats 5% roi in 13 days, its very high, and also the reason why it will go down later, because the same rate would be unsustainable.
I hope veil team release for a mobile wallet. I like to have a wallet on mobile than windows wallet.
Yes, it would be more comfortable if the user had a mobile wallet as an option either the user is using a mobile or pc. It will be more user friendly and if this will be created then a user that is always using smartphones can access the wallet though.For sure! We will have android/iOS/hardware wallets in the future.
Team already clarified this in Veil telegram, there was Veil named coin couple year ago which exit scammed but this veil has nothing to do with it and also they can rebrand if necessary.
Personally, I support the idea to rebrand the VEIL project, especially if the team chose the name when they did not notice that there was a scam VEIL project in the past.It is always better to stay away from anything relates to scam projects, even names, so rebranding should be made by the team sooner or later.
One of issues might occur is after rebranding the team might spend additional fund to exchanges because I doubt that they will give free supports.
Why rebrand? If some people consider this coin a Scam, intentionally or unknowingly, that is their opinion and nothing more. No rebranding needed.
Exactly. There is no purpose to rebrand - "Veil" is a great name for the project as it's privacy focused.
For the most part - people don't know of the old scam coin from years ago. I didn't know of it, and it's pretty easy to figure out that this project is unrelated to the previous one.

But only to repeat what stellar did in past and yes new logo does wonders. Only in the case that the community saw that new interesting options were added.
If after each shout about the scammers, or from a random coincidence of the name of the coins, the development team will do the rebrand of the project, it will destroy the project.

Veil has its own blockchain and is not a token. It is based on the latest Bitcoin Core v0.17 and uses a variety of custom-implemented privacy tech.

According to Telegram it was a POS bug which was used by some users, so probably all staking rewards was earned by them.this is false, the vast majority of PoS rewards were won by 10 denomination zerocoins, those were unaffected. The issue was that higher denomination efficiency parameters were not enforced by consensus, so people could gain an advantage when staking higher denominations. The soft fork has made it so that the parameters are enforced network wide.

I did jump to discord and according to them i need fast CPU to get staking reward ...thats just stupid ....they didnt mention about having a faster CPU for staking rewards anywhere ...So its stupid of me to stake it on my $**** workstation...Keep in mind there are people staking with many thousands of coins at this point. people have been able to stake with 5 year old i3 intel CPUs, so most modern CPUs should be fine.

There is no advantage to staking on multiple systems, and it increases the chance of corrupting your wallet, so best practice is to just stake on one machine.
